  Hello now I'm trying to get json data from Twitter API using iPhone. I'm using JSON Framework. • Slow SQL Sync with Microsoft Sync Framework on Mobile Client

  Hello, we are developing an application which uses MS Sync Framework to sync data between Windows CE 6.0 with SQL CE 3.5 SP1 Clients and an SQL 2008 Database. Our major problem is a slow sync time up to 1 minute for 15 tables which are totally empty. Here's a break down of our components: Server: Sql Server 2008 15 tables with activated change tracking WCF Service with endpoint for the mobile sync (uses Sync Framework 2.0) Client (Mobile) Windows CE 6.0 NET Application using Sync Framework for Devices (CTP 1) which starts the sync As I mentioned above, the sync takes up to 1 minute without any changes and empty tables. The mobile device is in its dock. This is a deal breaker for a production environment. Does anybody have any experience in this field? Is there a way to improve things? Thanks for any responses.

I found that because transactions are commited automaticaly so to force the commit i use em.commit() However i would like to know how to check if it is unique.Running a query isnt a solution because it may be an instert after checking because of the concurency....   Hello, my question is How can I set overflow hidden in cases where the html go's outside the screen Right now I have set html {overflow: hidden;} in the head tag off the page. So, it's hidden all the time In my particular case the errors that I show in the registration process cannot be seen on my 13inch laptop, but I don't want to show the scrollbars all the time. That's why I want it to set(or unset) based on the fact if there is overflow or not. What would be the best way? thanks, Richard

• Play video in UIWebView from NSData

  Hello there, Does anybody know how to play a video in a UIVebView ? The video comes from the iphone library, when I pick it, I store it in core data as binary data. If i use the local url of the video it's working fine, the problem I have is that the this url refers to a folder named "tmp", and I don't know the lifetime of it. If I can get the real url of the video file it will be ok. //attachment is the core data object containing the data NSURL *url = [NSURL URLWithString:attachment.path]; [self.webView loadRequest:[NSURLRequest requestWithURL:url]]; I tried a solution that doesn't work: (i tried MIMETypes : "video/quicktime" and "video/mp4") [self.webView loadData:attachment.data MIMEType:@"video/mov" textEncodingName:nil baseURL:nil]; I think the second solution is the closest, and the problem comes from the MIMEType. • Date object to Calendar [Java]

  Hello World, I have a class Movie in it i have a start Date, a duration and a stop Date. Start and stop Date are Date Objects (private Date startDate ...) (It's an assignment so i cant change that) now i want to automatically calculate the stopDate by adding the duration (in min) to the startDate. By my knowledge working with the time manipulating functions of Date is deprecated hence bad practice but on the other side i see no way to convert the Date object to a calendar object in order to manipulate the time and reconvert it to a Date object. Is there a way? And if there is what would be best practice Thanks in advance Samuel

  Hello, I'm trying to export a profile from WAS 6.1 so that I can give it to other members of my team with all of the JNDI and Shared Library configurations in place. I've flowed a few IBM tutorials on this like http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21322309 (technically that is more a bug fix, but there is a similar page). I've tried to export the server using the "import" feature of the server in RAD 7. None of these options create a .car file with the resources sticking around. Does anyone know how to do this?   Hello World. I'm tasked with reading a poorly formatted binary file and taking in the variables. Although I need to do it in C++ (ROOT, specifically), I've decided to do it in python because python makes sense to me, but my plan is to get it working in python and then tackle re-writing in in C++, so using easy to use python modules won't get me too far later down the road. Basically, I do this: In [5]: some_value Out[5]: '\x00I' In [6]: ''.join([str(ord(i)) for i in some_value]) Out[6]: '073' In [7]: int(''.join([str(ord(i)) for i in some_value])) Out[7]: 73 And I know there has to be a better way. What do you think?

I didn't have much luck googling for ":", too common of a punctuation mark :/ IDIV - Signed Integer Division Usage: IDIV src Modifies flags: (AF,CF,OF,PF,SF,ZF undefined) Signed binary division of accumulator by source. If source is a byte value, AX is divided by "src" and the quotient is stored in AL and the remainder in AH. • Export JPG out of Dicom File With mDCM

  Hello, I'm using mDCM with C# to view dicom tags, but I'm trying to convert the pixel data to a Bitmap and eventually out to a JPG file. I have read all of the posts on the mDCM Google Group on the subject and all of the code examples either don't work or are missing important lines of code. The image I am working with is a 16 bit monochrome1. I have tried using LockBits, SetPixel, and unsafe code in order to convert the pixel data to a Bitmap but all attempts fail. Does anyone have any code that could make this work. Thanks in advance P.S. Before anyone suggests trying something else like ClearCanvas, know that mDCM is the only library that suits my needs and ClearCanvas is WAY too bloated for what I need to do.

• Borland C++ builder 6 linker error

  Hello, I am recompling a project using Borland C++ Builder 6. The recompile process failed due to linker error. The message was: "[Linker Fatal error] Fatal unable to open file ABCC.lib" I removed all references of ABCC.lib in the project option and environment options, but the same error still occurred. I even tried manually removed ABCC.lib from the .bpr file, but the error just did not go away. Also, what is the ABCC.lib? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance. David.

• iPhone:Tabbar item actions are not happening

  Hello all, I created a window application, which has a tabbar controller with four tabbar items. Each tabbar items are linked with a tableview. I have also set Navigation bar for each tabbar items. I have appdelegate file, which calls the first tableview controller of which is set for first tabbar item. I am trying to retrieve and do an action whenever a tabbar item is clicked. For that, i tried to add "- (void)tabBar:(UITabBar *)tabBar didSelectItem:(UITabBarItem *)item" and "- (void)tabBarController:(UITabBarController *)tabBarController didSelectViewController:(UITableViewController *)viewController" in my first tableview controller, but it is not at all responding whenever i click any tabbar items. My question is, if i create a window based application and added tabbar controller, tableview and navigation bar in .XIB file, is it not possible to access and do an action programatically whenever a tabbar item is clicked? (or) Am i doing anything wrong? Please help me to resolve this and share your ideas. Thanks.

  Hello. I want to list messages that received specific user from other users group by ID's and ordered by last message received. If I use this query: SELECT MAX(id), fromid, toid, message FROM pro_messages WHERE toid=00003 GROUP BY fromid I do not get last message sent from user "fromid" to user "toid" but the first message sent. Can I do that in some other way or I need to do it with two queries or join tables? id - message id fromid - id of user who sent message toid - id of user who receive message (in this case user 00003)

I read about Subversion "svn:needs-lock" property and the ability to set auto-props in a subversion repository by setting "enable-auto-props = yes" in the repository config file. The "svn:needs-lock" property is neccesary when working with SSIS,dtsx to handle the files like binary files wich must be locked to avoid mergingconflicts. How should i configure Subversion config file for this kind of development?   Hello, For a private project using the iPhone SDK (not for the app store), I would like to toggle wifi on & off. I've done something similar for Bluetooth, but can't find the required information for Wifi. I assume I need to use the MobileWifi framework. Can anyone give some directions and/or code? Most likely I expect I need a header file for the MobileWifi framework as well. Note once again, this is not for the app store, as Apple will not allow apps that use private frameworks such as this.

  Hello, I have a inputStream of a docx file and I need to get hold of the document.xml which lies inside the docx. I am using ZipInputStream to read my stream and my code is something like ZipInputStream docXFile = new ZipInputStream(fileName); ZipEntry zipEntry; while ((zipEntry = docXFile.getNextEntry()) != null) { if(zipEntry.getName().equals("word/document.xml")) { System.out.println(" --> zip Entry is "+zipEntry.getName()); } } As you can see The output for zipEntry.getName comes as "word/document.xml" at some point. I need to pass this document.xml as a stream and unlike the ZipFile method where you can easily pass this on calling .getInputStream, I am wondering how can I do this docXFile? • Silverlight WCF method calls fails if WCF service is not running initially

  Quite simply I have a generic Silverlight 3.0 web page that is calling a Ping method on a WCF service. I do not have the WCF service running initially when I navigate to this Silverlight page. As expected I get a communication exception when I press the Silverlight button to call the Ping method, which I catch. Now if I start the WCF service and press the Ping button I still get the communication exception. How come? The other scenario is the WCF is running when I navigate to the SL page and the Ping method call works. I turn off the WCF service, ping method fails. Turn it back on and the ping method succeeds. How come if it's not running initially the ping method fails always? I could include some sample code if you'd like but this is just a real simple Hello World example using basichttpbinding, straight out the book. Thanks, Craig

  Hello, I've installed full version (not RC nor Beta) of Visual Studio 2010, a then setup within Web Platform Installer 2.0 announce me that I need to install MVC 2.0, so i did it. When I want to create project "MvcWebApplicationProjectTemplate" in VS I have following message: error: this template attempted to load component assembly 'Microsoft.VisualStudio.Web.Mvc.2.0, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35'. For more information on this problem and how to enable this template, please see documentation on Customizing Project Templates. Any idea how to fix it?   Hello, I'm learning MongoDB through the Mongoid Ruby gem with Rails (Rails 3 beta 3), and I'm trying to come up with a way to create dynamic attributes on a model based on fields from another model, which I thought a schema-less database would be a good choice for. So for example, I'd have the models: class Account include Mongoid::Document field :name, :type => String field :token, :type => String field :info_needed, :type => Array embeds_many :members end class Member include Mongoid::Document embedded_in :account, :inverse_of => :members end I'm looking to take the "info_needed" attribute of the Account model and created dynamic attributes on the Member model based on what's inside. If club.info_needed was ["first_name", "last_name"], I'm trying to create a form that would save first_name and last_name attributes to the Member model. However, upon practice, I just keep getting "undefined method first_name=" errors on the Member model when trying to do this. I know MongoDB can handle dynamic attributes per record, but how can I get Mongoid to do this without an undefined method error?

• One row is skipped each time the program scans a matrix from file !

  Hello there, I had this code working yesterday, but it seems like I edited it a bit and lost the working version. I cant get this to work anymore. I basically want to scan a matrix from a .txt file. But each time it scans the first row, the second one is skipped, and it reads the third instead :( Here is my code : for(i=0;i<=test->rowmat1;i++){ for(j=0;j<=test->colmat1;j++){ fscanf(fin,"%f\t",&test->mat[i][j]); } fscanf(fin,"%*[^\n]",&test->mat[i][j]); } For example, for a matrix of : 1.00 2.00 3.00 4.00 5.00 6.00 7.00 8.00 9.00 10.00 11.00 12.00 If I extract 3 rows and 3 cols, I get : 1.00 2.00 3.00 7.00 8.00 9.00 Then fails, it wants to skip over the second line but there is nothing after 10 11 12 Why did it stop working ? What do I have wrong ? Please help, Thanks in advance.
