  • How do I resolve the error "Binding already being used by a product other than IIS"

    I have an SSL cert with its own unique IP address on a 2008 R2 server. I have created a basic website using IIS Manager, with a file called “Hello.html” in the root. When trying to add an https binding I receive the following error after choosing my certificate: This binding is already being used by a product other than IIS. If you continue you might overwrite the existing certificate for this IP Address:Port combnation. Do you want to use this binding anyway?" I click Yes to this prompt and the binding is created. When I try to retrieve my file using the server’s own browser, the request times out. I have another server which has a shared configuration with this one, and it works fine. Does anyone have any suggestions how to find out which application may be using this binding other than IIS, and how to resolve?

The TFS works fine, but there are error events logged frequently: Log Name: Application Source: Microsoft-Windows-CertificateServicesClient-CredentialRoaming Event ID: 1005 Level: Error Description: Certificate Services Client: Credential Roaming failed to write to the Active Directory. Error code 5 (Access is denied.) The problem is clear (the error message is quite precise) but I don't have a clue how to fix it! Where has the access to be granted? What permissions have to be set?

  • Office 2007 Setup prompts for PptLR.cab

    While running Office 2007 Ultimate Setup on Windows 7 box, I get this error message - "Setup cannot find PowerPoint.en-us\PptLR.cab". This file is very much present in the setup folder. It gives me an option to choose the correct path of this file, but when I browse and navigate to the folder containing this file, it doesn't show me the CAB file for selection. I tried installing both from DVD and also running setup from hard disk location. The same setup media was used earlier for installation on Vista without any issues!

    The following error is preventing me from cloning a Windows 7 64bit computer. Unable to create a VSS snapshot of the source volume(s). Error code: 2147754754 (0x80042302) I'm using VMWare vCenter Converter Standalone Client 4.0.1. Any ideas on what might be causing this? When I checked the services running, I noticed that the Volume Shadow Copy Service was set to manual. So I started the service and switched it to automatic. It still didn't work after that. I checked the event logs and I got the following errors: Event ID: 22 Description: Volume Shadow Copy Service error: A critical component required by the Volume Shadow Copy service is not registered. This might happened if an error occurred during Windows setup or during installation of a Shadow Copy provider.   • Office 2013 OCT unhandled exception when saving .RSP

    I'm trying to prepare a deployment of office 2013 pro plus. If I deploy an existing .rsp file that was left behind by the old analyst (typing from the client): PS C: \\deploybox\software\Office2013\setup.exe /adminfile \\deploybox\software\Office2013\SWKS.MSP Things seem to deploy just fine. if I make any changes to the .rsp file by doing (all from the client): PS C: \\deploybox\software\Office2013\setup.exe /admin * Open SWKS.MSP * Make changes * Save under a different name SWKS1.MSP I get the following errorbox: Unhandled Exception: MsiGetSummaryInformation call failed. And if I try to deploy the new SWKS1.MSP, PS C: \\deploybox\software\Office2013\setup.exe /adminfile \\deploybox\software\Office2013\SWKS1.MSP it fails with the message: Path or file specified with /adminfile did not contain any customization patches that apply to this product or platform. If I even open the old known good .rsp file SWKS.MSP, and immediately save it as a new name SWKS1.MSP, making no changes, then the same thing happens. So what stupid newbie mistake am I making here?     Search Crawling is error out on my MOSS 2007 installation. I get the following error for all the web apps I have following error in Crawl logs. http://mysites.devserver URL could not be resolved. The host may be unavailable, or the proxy settings are not configured correctly on the index server. The Application Event log also has the following corresponding error The start address http://mysites.devserver cannot be crawled. Context: Application 'SSPMain', Catalog 'Portal_Content' Details: The URL of the item could not be resolved. The repository might be unavailable, or the crawler proxy settings are not configured. To configure the crawler proxy settings, use the Proxy and Timeout page in search administration. (0x80041221) I'm using Windows 2008 server. I tried accessing the site using the above mentioned url and its available. I did the registry setting for loop back issue found here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/896861 still not luck. Any Ideas?

  • PERC H710 mini raid controller advanced settings (BIOS)

    I upgraded from a PERC h310 to an H710 controller on my Dell R620 but didnt get any increase in performance. This is a ESXi host with a 5 disk RAID 5. I noticed when going to the RAID BIOS that the advanced settings section was not activated/checked off. In that section is the strip element size: 64kb (default) read policy: no read ahead and the write policy: write-through. Will checking that section do any harm to the existing raid array or will it simply enable those policies and hopefully boost performance? Or, lastly, is it already using those policies and the checkmark is simply to activate them for changes

    We're having some issues with our Hyper-V Core 2012 R2 installation on a HP DL360G8. We have an identical server with Hyper-V Core 2012 (not R2) that does not have these issues. When logging off from the physical server/via remote desktop, we sometimes get this error: Configure-SMRemoting.exe - Application Error : The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application. We've also once or twice seen a "memory could not be read" error mentioning LoginUI.exe (another Windows app in System32) but have been unable to get an exact description. It's rather worrying to get such errors on a fresh install of Hyper-V 2012 R2. Is this even anything to worry about? Things we've done: Memtest86+, no memory errors Checksummed the file that is crashing with the one in the verified correct ISO, files match Server firmware upgrade to latest firmware of all present hardware, no visible changes Remade the RAID5 array , no change Reinstalled a few times, no change Reinstall without applying Windows updates after, no change

  • SFTP - Unable to Overwrite File - "EOF received from remote side"

    I am working with a customer to troubleshoot an error they have when trying to overwrite/"PUT" a file to our SFTP site. When the root directory is empty and they try to upload the file there is no problem but when they try to overwrite an existing file this is when the error occurs. The error they receive when trying a put command in Java Caps is: The error is: Batch SFTP eWay error when doing data transfer operation in [PUT()], message=[EOF received from remote side [Unknown cause]].|#] When they use WinSCP or FileZilla to put the file it overwrites fine with no errors. We have tried: Multiple different files Checking their SFTP user permissions Gave full access permissions to "everyone" to the user's root directory in Windows Recreating their user account Ensured no other processes are using/locking the files that are being overwriten We are using Cerberus Professional FTP server software. Any ideas of what else we could try?

  • Configure Zabbix to send email notifications through Exim

    I've been working through the installation and configuration of Zabbix over the past couple of days and I think I've finally got everything working... except the sending of notifications / alerts. I'm running on a Ubuntu server which is using Exim to send emails. I'd previously used this Exim setup to send notifications for Nagios so I know that Exim itself works. However, I can't seem to get Zabbix to send out notifications. Here's what I've done so far: Set up a "test trigger" like so: Trigger severity >= "Information" Send message to User "Admin" The Admin user has a email contact (and I've sent command line emails from Exim on the server using "sendmail" to this email address successfully) The media type for email is set. (I've tried 127.0.0.1) I've checked the user permissions and it is read/write for all host groups The triggers are definitely getting set but no actions are being called... I think my problem is within Zabbix as it's not actually executing the actions And idea how to configure this correctly?

    Hi all, I've just installed a fresh copy of NPS on a new 2008 R2 Std server. When I go to add a Radius client, I get "NPS Error: The service being accessed is licensed for a particular number of connections. No more connections can be made to the service at this time because there are already as many connections as the service can accept. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070573)". What do I do? This is the first Radius client I am installing (and the first change to the vanilla NPS since running the role installation wizard) so obviously I have not hit the 50 client max. Cheers

    Hello All, Using upgrade manager I upgraded my 8.x LTS installation to 10.4. After rebooting the system failed encountered an error and dropped into the recovery console. It appeared to be a problem caused by ureadahead as described here: http://ubuntuguide.net/howto-fix-ureadahead-problem-after-upgrading-to-ubuntu-10-04. So I renamed ureadahead.conf to ureadahead.moved (after remounting the partition rw). this did not help so I renamed the file back again. Now, we replace the drives and begin the configuration with the hp DVD and begin; when we reach the point that we want to save the configurations, an error message appears: "The operation has failed with an unknown error, please restart the application and attempt the operation again" When using Rescan System, this error message appears: "Status Alerts - Smart Array P410i in Embedded Slot Warning Status Message Code Description 347 The cache for Smart Array P410i Embedded Slot is not configured" We return back to the 164 GB SATA drives and the message just keeps appearing again.     I have an existing Exchange 2003 server running on Windows Server 2003. I am in the process of replacing our current server infrastructure and virtualizing it all in Hyper-V. I have Essential Business Server 2008 installed in 3 separate VMs and running. Everything seems to be working fine so far. I am now trying to migrate my exchange mailboxes over to the new exchange server in the messaging server and every time I try I get this error: MapiExceptionNetworkError: Unable to make admin interface connection to server. (hr=0x80040115, ec=-2147221227) I have done some searching and found solutions like adding the computer to the exchange domain servers groups and install group, also making sure the user logged into the new server is in the proper groups. I also saw a solution in making sure that any unused NICs are disabled. I've tried all that to no avail.

    I have a Windows Server 2003 box already setup and working with IIS 6. IIS is set to serve a site out over both HTTP and HTTPS connections using default ports. For various reasons I need to set Apache up on the same server and it needs to serve its pages to end-users as SSL encrypted HTTPS pages. Neither IIS or Apache are (or are ever likely to be) particularly high traffic or high usage. The way I see it there are two possible ways this could be done. Either export the SSL cert from IIS,set it up in Apache and get Apache to server the HTTPS connections itself over a non-default port. Or use IIS to proxy Apache in some way over it's existing SSL security. What is going to end up easiest to setup, configure, maintain and run? Which is going to work best? Has anyone done this sort of thing before? Any tips or things to look out for?

    We have a Project 2010 Beta installed on SharePoint 2010 Beta as test set-up whilst we wait for the release versions. Whilst the installation seemed to complete without any issues we're unable to open any projects within the Project 2010 client app. Project pops up an error 'Could not retrieve server initialization data'. My local event logs list some errors from MSSOAP that simply state an unanticipated error occurred during the processing of the request. The server doesn't log any errors. The Sharepoint set up is a farm containing 3 SharePoint servers. I log in to server 'PORTAL' but the Project Server stuff is configured to run on one of the other SharePoint boxes. I presume others have managed to get this working - has anyone got any ideas as to what could be wrong. Everything is patched correctly as far as I can tell.

    I have just ported an existing ASP.NET application to a new web server (Windows Server 2008 R2 and SQL Server 2008). It is successfully running on 4 other servers of varying O/S (which I also setup). My ASP.NET app calls into the Reporting Services Web Service (ReportExecution2005.asmx) to generate a report and save it as a pdf to the file system. I consistently receive "System.Net.WebException - The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized." In UTTER desperation I have performed the following... Granted all Users complete access to SSRS via the Reports web page. Granted all Users 'Full control' to <%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS10.MSSQLSERVER I am not a network / server specialist but I'm the only one that can deal with this and it's driving me batty. Help!

  • Nginx + PHP-FPM on Ubuntu giving "upstream sent invalid status" on uploading Joomla extension zip file

    I have a Ubuntu server running in an ESV VM emvironment and I've installed a webserver with this configuration: Nginx 1.0.5 PHP 5.3.6 with PHP-FMP Mysql 5.1.62 I have an installation of latest version of joomla on this server and when I try to upload an install package (zip file containing joomla's extension files) I get "502 Bad Gateway" with the following error in nginx log file: 2012/05/13 11:22:21 [error] 19911#0: *20 upstream sent invalid status "-1 Copy failed" while reading response header from upstream, client: 10.10.56.70, server: localhost, request: "POST /administrator/index.php?option=com_installer&view=install HTTP/1.1", upstream: "fastcgi://127.0.0.1:9000", host: "radio.xx.xx", referrer: "http://radio.xx.xx/administrator/index.php?option=com_installer" I've searched all over the internet and I've changed too many parameters of php configuration, fpm config and nginx config including increasing execution times and etc but my problem still remains. I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with my Joomla and problem is in webserver but there's no usable log messages, except above message. Can anyone help me with this problem?

  • How to change RDS licensing mode from 'per user/device' to 'Remote control for administrators' on Wi

    We have installed windows 2008 R2 enterprise on a Dell server. This server is placed remotely in data center and only administrator is going to access it for maintenance purpose. No multiple users or client remote access is needed Now during 'remote desktop services' role installation network admin accidentally selected 'per user/device' licensing mode. Because of which now 120 days free try period is ticking. Since only administrator is going to access this server remotely we need to have 'Remote control for administrators' licensing mode (like windows 2003) on it. How we can change licensing mode from 'per user/device' to 'Remote control for administrators' on 2008 server? Also will it be possible to do this change remotely using RDC session itself? or do i need to change it using physical console (if remote access is gonna be disabled during switch)?
