  • Sharepoint managed Properties

    Originally posted on StackOverflow, and edited for clarity I have a custom Content Type inside a list that has over 30 items (Which were uploaded via DockIt), and I have added several "managed properties" to the "crawled properties", in the SSP. All of them work except 1. The column "Synopsis" is a multiline field with no limit on it's length. It appears as a crawled property "Synopsis", and is mapped to a managed property 'asynop'. On the 'Advanced Search Page', it is added as a property and searchable, however it only returns a some matching records (if any). I manually created an entry, ran the crawl and was able to search for it. I edited an existing entry, ran the crawl (full and incremental), and it still only returned the manually entered entry. If I entered the search term in the Search box directly "asynop:fatigue", then all the correct results appear. Why is this happening? And could it please stop?

It does print the correct value that's in cell B3 to the console. When closing it asks if I want to replace the existing file. I click yes. When I open the spreadsheet in Excel, the value is still in cell B3 despite the cell.ClearContents(). Any thoughts?

    I have an Open ID based authentication system on my site. Occasionally users will have an account registered under [email protected] and they will attempt to login using the google open id provider https://www.google.com/accounts/o8/id, in this case I would like to automatically associate the account and log them in. When the process is done I get a payload from somewhere claiming that openid.op_endpoint=https://www.google.com/accounts/o8/id. My question: Can I trust openid.op_endpoint to be correct? Can this be spoofed somehow by a malicious openid provider? For illustration, lets say someone types in http://evil.org as their openid provider, can I somehow end up getting a request back that claims openid.op_endpoint is google? Do I need to store extra information against the nonce to validate? The spec is kind of tricky to understand

  • Trouble editing Word document with PHP

    I want to open a word document and edit it I am opening the word document from the server and at that time it's opening with garbage values (perhaps it's not being properly converted to UTF-8). When I delete those garbage values and insert something from a textarea to that file it is going to insert and from then on it opens properly.   • getting a combo box that has a row source equal to a query - and the query takes data from a form -

    I have a combo box with a row source based on an SQL query about like SELECT DISTINCT Database_New.ASEC FROM Database_New WHERE Database_New.Date= DateSerial([cboYear], 1, 1) And Database_New.Date<= DateSerial([cboYear], 12, 31); the trouble is that if I change the value of cboYear, the values in the drop down cboASEC do not update. I have to open the query, save it and close it to get the thing to update while I have the form open. Is there a way to get the cboASEC to update somehow? maybe a little tidbit of code in the cboYear - afterupdate?

  • Excel can't remember how to copy/paste

    So, maybe someone else has an idea why this happens. I have a full-fledged version of Office 2007, works fine and all that jazz. However, if I try to copy and paste query results from SSMS, or anywhere else for that matter, I have to have an instance of Excel open and then paste. I can't copy, open Excel, and then paste. The little 'wait' circle pops up for a split second but nothing is pasted. I have never ran across this with any other program. Any good explanation for this? FFIW, it's Excel 2007 running in compatibility mode.

  • c++ recursion with arrays

    I have this project that I'm working on for a class, and I'm not looking for the answer, but maybe just a few tips since I don't feel like I'm using true recursion. The problem involves solving the game of Hi Q or "peg solitaire" where you want the end result to be one peg remaining (it's played with a triangular board and one space is open at the start.) I've represented the board with a simple array, each index being a spot and having a value of 1 if it has a peg, and 0 if it doesn't and also the set of valid moves with a 2 dimensional array that is 36, 3 (each move set contains 3 numbers; the peg you're moving, the peg it hops over, and the destination index.) So my problem is that in my recursive function, I'm using a lot of iteration to determine things like which space is open (or has a value of 0) and which move to use based on which space is open by looping through the arrays. Secondly, I don't understand how you would then backtrack with recursion, in the event that an incorrect move was made and you wanted to take that move back in order to choose a different one. This is what I have so far; the "a" array represents the board, the "b" array represents the moves, and the "c" array was my idea of a reminder as to which moves I used already.   • android spectrum analysis of streaming input

    for a school project I am trying to make an android application that, once started, will perform a spectrum analysis of live audio received from the microphone or a bluetooth headset. I know I should be using FFT, and have been looking at moonblink's open source audio analyzer ( http://code.google.com/p/moonblink/wiki/Audalyzer ) but am not familiar with android development, and his code is turning out to be too difficult for me to work with. So I suppose my questions are, are there any easier java based, or open source android apps that do spectrum analysis I can reference? Or is there any helpful information that can be given, such as; steps that need be taken to get the microphone input, put it into an fft algorithm, then display a graph of frequency and pitch over time from its output? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

  • Is there a way to undo deletion of registry keys while the machine is still running?

    [ also posted from a programmer's POV at http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3299230 ] I messed up big time and deleted a large portion of my registry during a programming experiment: As a result most of the contents of HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ are gone. I haven't logged off or shutdown since this happened. The applications that were already running seem to be coping fine so far but I suspect that after the next reboot there won't be much happiness left... Also, System Restore tells me there are no restore points even though I'm pretty sure there should have been. Could this be another symptom of the purged registry? I wouldn't have expected this information to be stored under HKCU, though... Does anybody know of a technique or utility that can possibly restore some or all of the deleted entries? I'm on Windows 7 Enterprise 32bit. I'm not really holding my breath but you can always hope, can't you?

    I've been searching through this website and have seen multiple references to time deltas, but haven't quite found what I'm looking for. Basically, I have a list of messages that are received by a comms server and I want to calcuate the latency time between each message out and in. It looks like this: 161336.934072 - TMsg out: [O] enter order. RefID [123] OrdID [4568] 161336.934159 - TMsg in: [A] accepted. ordID [456] RefNumber [123] Mixed in with these messages are other messages as well, however, I only want to capture the difference between the Out messages and in messages with the same RefID. So far, to sort out from the main log which messages are Tmessages I've been doing this, but it's really inefficient.   • How do you get the File:// protocol to work in IE8?

    I am running a website on my local machine ("http://localhost/asdf") and trying to get some file:// protocol links to work. In reality I'm trying to open a folder, not a specific file, but I can't get either to work. I've put localhost in my "trusted zone", I've tried every combo of "file" ,":", some number of "/" and then a whole bunch of different paths, but encoded and not encoded. Nothing I do causes anything to open when I click on the link. If I copy the link destination, and paste that in the browser address window, then it works as expected. Anyone know the secret?

    I have several Twitter accounts to which I post messages. One is a personal, one is a professional, and a couple for each software system I developed. Does any one know of a plug-in for one of the major web browses on Windows or program that allows me to easily login to multiple Twitter accounts and easily switch between them ? I now have the 4 major browsers installed on my computer , each with it's own Twitter account (with the password and login info saved), but I think there must be a better way. On a side note: it is getting harder and harder to know to which StackOverflow alike site a question must be posted. So I hope this question here is considered on-topic.

    Hi, First of all it is a UI design question! Which is the best design practice for edit data in RIA, for example in Flex or Silverlight? I would like to show customer's details, but there will be an edit window, than the datas of customer will be editable. I would like to show a new form where the data can be edited. What is the simplest way to show this form. I can make my ui tabbed, so I can open the form in a new tab, or I can open the form in a popup/modal dialog (Save-cancel). Maybe I can use in line editing. What is the most user friendly solution in a Silverlight or Flex GUI? What is your opinion? Thanks!
