  • Can the Microsoft Paint Edit Colors Dialog be supplemented?

    I have written a WinForms application that presents a color picker, limited to the known colors. My environment is Visual Studio C# Express 2008, C#, and Framework 2.0. Currently the MS Paint Colors menu item only presents an Edit Colors dialog. I would like to supplement that by causing the Colors menu item to display both "Edit Colors" and "Edit Known Colors". Can I accomplish this? If so, please provide a citation (or code if preferrred).

    Is there any way to determine whether a chart in Crystal Reports 2008 (using either the RAS SDK or the older RDC API) is set to display values "for each record" or "for all records"? I can get access to a CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.ReportDefModel.ChartObject but can't find any API there to access which type of chart it is - "for each" or "for all".

Whenever I clean up my code using "Full Cleanup" it replaces all var declaration with explicit type declarations. But I have set the appropriate settings under "Inspection Severity" "Use var keyword when initializer explictly declares type" and "use var keyword when possible" to "Show as Error" Is there any other setting I need to set or is this a known bug?

    Is there a way to detect whether two EXE's (compiled from VS.Net 2008 for C++/MFC) do not have any code-level changes between them i.e. for purposes of knowing that there have been no statement changes. Is it worth investing in using this technology or not? Also, I looked at the Apache XSL-FO project and their last release was in august 2008. p.s. commercial packages are not an option :(
