    I've added my gmail account to Mail.app It worked find in previous days, and downloaded thousands of previous mails. But now, it can't connect to gmail server for days. What's the matter here?     I have a handful of (content unrelated) sites with decent PRs and I'm considering hosting them all on the same server. I've heard that if you do this, internal linking between two seperate domains on that server may be seen as less "valid" by Google in PageRank terms (since you obviously own both of the sites as they share an IP address). Anyone have any experience in this? I'd love to save some hosting cash by consolidating, but not at the expense of losing the ability to link my sites together powerfully.

    Some of you might have noticed that Google has changed their search to use SSL by default. I noticed that even if you set your search engine on Chrome to unsecured Google, the results are delivered via HTTPS. I was wondering if the suggestions typed on the address bar are also sent via SSL. If not, how can I make them so? I can change the default search provider to Google SSL, but then I lose the suggestions.

  • Can I set up a different method of authentication on Nagios?

    Nagios is a wonderful too for monitoring servers. Their web interface is not bad, either. However I am not crazy about using the HTTP Authentication that comes standard. Is there a way to use another method of authentication? (and I don't mean restricting access by IP address in the .htaccess file) Something with a form-based login would be wonderful, but perhaps there is no such thing. I'm hoping you guys have found something I haven't.

In the outbound SMTP server traffic, I see the internal machine name (exchange.domain.local), and the internal ip address (10.10.10.55). The question is, how do you remove this header from exchange, or change it to have the external machine name/ip addresses. I am not talking about the HELO / EHLO handshake as part of the protocol. In my case I am talking about printers.   • Change ISP and MX static ip but no mail

    We have recently changed our ISP, I have changed the MX record for our domain name to point to the new external static IP address for the router on the new ISP's connexion but I am not getting any mail (though sending works). Do I just have to wait will the change propagates? I am slightly concerned because I can connect to the web email service made visible through the new router, but not actually receive email.     I have two hosts A and B and a host(called client here) C C will establish a tcp connection with A, and send http requests to A then A will relay the HTTP requests to B (the relaying may be seconds of delay) and B will spoof its IP address as the IP of A and send http response to C I know there is sequnce number inconsistency problem, but is it possible to trick the TCP protocol to make the connection viable? thanks!

    I am trying to ping one of my local host and checking CPU process to see how "Ping of death" attack behaves. I tried to ping my other PC which is in local network with 192.168.44.2 IP Address. I tried this, ping -l 5000 192.168.44.2 and I got error like this, ping: -l flag: Operation not permitted I am on MacOSX Lion. How can I remove this flag so machine can let me ping with preload?
