  • How to remove fastaddressbar?

    somehow I downloaded and installed spyware or malware. I do not know. I know that if I write somethin in field where you put as a website link I get web engine results but not by google but fastaddressbar.. It is part of websearch toolbar. Most of them was blocked and added to quarantine by my antivirus comodo however I still do not know how restore fast search in firefox to get results from google. Please help :(

    I've seen this previous question on ServerFault, and I want something similar, but I'm not sure how to accomplish it. What I want is to remove all slashes from the permalink except for the one that goes after the domain name. For example: http://www.muycomputerpro.com/Actualidad/Especiales/La-Ciudad-Eficiente-Netapp would be redirected to http://www.muycomputerpro.com/ActualidadEspecialesLa-Ciudad-Eficiente-Netapp I need it to correct some 404 errors remaining on my WordPress blog under Apache web server. So, what would be the right rewrite rule?

    Hi, I have followed http://blog.bitfluent.com/page/3 to add git-completion.bash to my /opt/local/etc/bash_completion.d/git-completion and I put PS1='\h:\W$(__git_ps1 "(%s)") \u\$ ' in my .bashrc_profile But now I am getting this -bash: __git_ps1: command not found everything I do a cd. Can you please tell me what am I missing?

    I've dedicated box that hosts wordpress blog with huge traffic. I need mail functionality for me and 2 other employees. I also need mail send capability for fail2ban and logwatch applications. I don't want to stress this box too much, so I wonder: How scure can postfix be? Will I stress server beyond needed with antivirus and mail filters? and postfix? Server is with 2gb ram, e5600 nothing fancy a simple pc.

  • Web server send outgoing request to specific isp gateway

    I have a server with 5 ISP connections, i am using Apache web server and php engine to run my application. Outgoing request to different API now needs to be send through a specific ISP (or a different IPs). All my API request are sent using PHP and Web server. I am not sure that php will directly communicate with Gateway or it send request via web server. Please help me to setup this. Thanks in advance.

  • Two VHosts Use Same DocumentRoot, PHP Not Working on Second VHost

    I'm helping maintain an e-commerce site that is run on Magento. This site is an outlet for our wholesale customers. We have recently decided to open a second store to reach out to our Retail customers. We decided to set up another website inside of our magento store so that we can share the products across both stores. I'm in the process of setting up this new site on the server, but have run into an issue. I've set up the second vhost for the new retail site, and I've made the DocumentRoot for this vhost the same as for the wholesale site, so we can use one magento application for both sites. This is where the error occurs. When I browse to the new store it triggers a download of the index.php file. So I know the DocumentRoot directive is working, but it seems like PHP is being broken in the process. I'm using plesk to manage the server. I've made sure that PHP is turned on in both vhosts and still get the same issue. Does this sound like a problem of PHP breaking, or is it possible my vhost.conf file is set up incorrectly? (Although the vhost is managed by plesk and appears correct) Any help will be much appreciated.   • AD group authentication to view wordpress posts?

    I'm trying to set up a wordpress site using active directory authentication. One question that has come up is the ability to limit category/post/blog reading to specific AD groups. I've never seen this done and I haven't been able to find any plugins that seem to promise this functionality. It would seem that the best option is to just give a bunch of users a role with the read_private_posts capability, but I'm not sure this will do the trick.

  • Autoscaling EC2 with NFS mounts

    I'm trying to set up a shared filesystem on EC2 and I've read tutorials such as this: http://blog.ronaldmccollam.com/2012/07/configuring-nfs-on-ubuntu-in-amazon-ec2.html In step 2 it talks about configuring the exports, for this I need an IP range but when I'm auto-scaling I can't predict what the IP will be before it scales.     Our customer has a problem with database information in plaintext within a server.xml or context.xml file on the Tomcat server. I've looked at several sites like OWASP and it seems like there's no obvious solution. I've also seen things like this wordpress blog which describe implementing a custom Tomcat extension to do this. There must exist some standard implementation(s) already without having to roll your own. Does anyone have experience with such a solution?

    I have purchased a domain name for my blog, and I'd like to use [email protected] as my email address. I have a Linux (Ubuntu 13.10) VPS that's running the LAMP stack. I would like to install some software that would include spam filtering, email delivery, etc, but would be simpler to maintain than something like this (possibly hundreds of steps, and a lot of maintenance headaches too I suppose). I would also require a web interface at mail.mydomain.com - but I suppose that Roundcube is an option

  • Slash after domain in URL missing for Rails site

    After redirecting users in a Rails app, for some reason the slash after the domain is missing. Generated URLs are invalid and I'm forced to manually correct them. The problem only occurs on a subdomain. On a different primary domain (same server), everything works ok. For example, after logging out, the site is directing to https://www.sub.domain.comlogin/ rather than https://www.sub.domain.com/login I suspect the issue has something to do with the vhost setup, but I'm not sure.
