I have some algorithm to solve my problem, but I have no simple code which will be guide for me. Can anyone give me simple code (not working code) so that I will try working to understand.(for a 3 hours ,I have been searching and reading some text to understand algorithm which is told above.Actually,there is no example code investigating how it is working. Can anyone send me example which is written in c not other language.

  • What's the silliest programming mistake you've ever done? [closed]

    Despite not being a professional programmer, i use python or c to accomplish simple tasks. Once I needed a nasty equation to use with various data for physics lab. I thought that it would take a few hours if i used some mechanic calculator. Then i've written a python script to make things easier but something was wrong. After finding my mistakes one of which was forgetting to put ":", i realized that it had already took 2-3 hours, not to mention inventing satanic arithmetic techniques since i thought the errors was caused by my math :) Sometimes when you don't see it, you don't see it! Now i can find the syntax errors without thinking for a moment :) Any similar annoying mistakes that you've experienced?

  • Error when deploying site of a maven multi module project with FTP

    I have a multi module project. When I launch mvn site:deploy, the deployment of the base module works fine, but it fails to create the directory of the module sites on the FTP server: [INFO] Error uploading site Embedded error: Required directory: '/myremoteftprepository/myproject-mymodule' is missing When I create the missing directory by hand, it works fine, but I would like to avoid that. It is surprising that the deploy command do not create it. Do you how to force this directory creation? Is it a bug in the wagon-ftp plugin?   • Application Servers(java) : Should adding RAM to server depend on each domain's -Xmx value?

    We have Glassfish application server running in Linux servers. Each Glassfish installation hosts 3 domains. Each domain has a JVM configuration such as -Xms 1GB and -XmX 2GB. That means if all these three domains are running at max memory, server should be able to allocate total 6GB to the JVMs With that math,each of our server has 8GB RAM (2 GB Buffer) First of all - is this a good approach? I did not think so, because when we analyzed memory utilization on this server over past few months, it was only up to 1GB; Now there are requests to add an additional domain to these servers - does that mean to add additional 2 GB RAM just to be safe or based on trend, continue with whatever memory the server has?

    I am trying to solve a problem, a part of which requires me to calculate (2^n)%1000000007 , where n<=10^9. But my following code gives me output "0" even for input like n=99.   • haar transformation on an image

    hello, i need some help with haar transformation, i have to apply it on an image. My math is bad, my english not all that awesome and i find it hard to understand from articles on the internet. I found this page http://www.cs.ucf.edu/~mali/haar/haar.cpp where the haar transformation is applied on 2d matrix.     I want to create some diagrams for some papers. Diagrams will contain some text, e.g. some console output. I need images for using also in html files. There is TikZ so can create images like this: http://www.texample.net/tikz/examples/boxes-with-text-and-math/ http://www.texample.net/tikz/examples/rule-based-diagram/ http://www.texample.net/tikz/examples/scenario-tree/ but as a result I get some ps/pdf files, not images. What's more I want to generate the pictures from text files as I want to track changes in some VCS, any binary files are not suitable for that.

  • change shell directory from a script?

    i want to make a script (to) that makes it easier for me to enter folders. so eg. if i type "to apache" i want it to change the current directory to /etc/apache2. however, when i use the "cd" command inside the script, it seems like it changes the path WITHIN the script, so the path in the shell has not changed. how could i make this work?

  • Recursive Functions for Beginners?

    I'm looking for a few recursive function examples, preferably ones that show increase in complexity. I understand basic recursive functions, but I'm having trouble implementing them in my code. I've never used them in my code before, and I know it doesn't always call for it, but I'd like to try. Is there a good resource with examples, and maybe challenges of some sort? Or even some simple math problems (Project Euler-style?) that I could use recursion on? For examples, I prefer C#, but anything works.

So I googled it looking for some example code In just about all the results I see, they use double as the return for such a function, even when explicitly using floor to convert it to an integer. Unix timestamps are always integers.   • Is the use of union in this matrix class completely safe?

    Unions aren't something I've used that often and after looking at a few other questions on them here it seems like there is almost always some kind of caveat where they might not work. Eg. structs possibly having unexpected padding or endian differences. Came across this in a math library I'm using though and I wondered if it is a totally safe usage. I assume that multidimensional arrays don't have any extra padding and since the type is the same for both definitions they are guaranteed to take up exactly the same amount of memory? template<typename T> class Matrix44T { ... union { T M[16]; T m[4][4]; } m; }; Are there any downsides to this setup? Would the order of definition make any difference to how this works?

Does a for with a yield always return an IndexedSeq, or can it also return some other type of collection class (a LinearSeq, for example)? If it can also return something else, then what determines the return type, and how can I influence it? I'm using Scala 2.8.0.RC3.
