How to isolate a single element from a scraped web page in R

Hello, I'm trying to do soemone a favour, and it's a tad outside my comfort zone, so I'm stuck. I want to use R to scrape this page (http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/archive/germany2006/results/matches/match=97410001/report.html ) and others, to get the goal scorers and times. So far, this is what I've got require(RCurl) require(XML) theURL <-"http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/archive/germany2006/results/matches/match=97410001/report.html" webpage <- getURL(theURL, header=FALSE, verbose=TRUE) webpagecont <- readLines(tc <- textConnection(webpage)); close(tc) pagetree <- htmlTreeParse(webpagecont, error=function(...){}, useInternalNodes = TRUE) and the pagetree object now contains a pointer to my parsed html (I think). Connect xampp to MongoDB

Hello I have a xampp 1.7.3 instance running and a MongoDB 1.2.4 server on the same machine. I want to connect them, so I basically have been following this tutorial on php.net, it seems to connect but the cursors are always empty. I don't know what am I missing. Redirect to another action in an interceptor in struts 2

I am currently in the process of learning Struts 2 and I am currently building a simple application where unverified users are redirected to a login form. I have a login form and action functional which takes the users credentials, verifies them and stores a User object in the session however I am now trying to prevent access to pages before the login has taken place and I am trying to do this with an interceptor. WPF Collapsed Grid not Styling

So, I have a grid inside a listbox. The purpose is that when the listboxitem is selected, I want the grid to show, having the selected item expand to show more detail information. I set up a style trigger for this and it works great, except for one thing: the labels and textblocks styles are unapplied on the grid. I'm assuming this has something to do with the default state of the listboxitem being collapsed, so wpf skips the styles, I was hoping it would put them on when selected fired, but it doesn't. modifying ajax returned data before showing

I'm processing subscribtion form with jQuery/ajax and need to display results with success function (they are different depending on if email exists in database). But the trick is I do not need h2 and first "p" tag. How can I show only div#alertmsg and second "p" tag? I've tried revoming unnecessary elements with method described here, but it didn't work. jQueryUI Slider handle not moving

I'm trying to implement a jQuery slider with increments. I've gone from, the actual project page, to a test page of the project with just the slider, to just the slider. In all cases I've been unable to get the handle to move. It also seems to have a width of 1px or similar. How to MakeTable ReadOnly including contents like images

I have a table which has two text boxes and a image beside it to click and open a popup. In read-only mode based on condition I am able to make text boxes read-only but images are not becoming read-only.One solution I had is the anchor tag associated with image calls for JavaScript where I can check for a dummy click when it is in read-only mode. The problem here is the function is common and effects everywhere. So is there a way to make the entire table read-only so that no extra workaround needs to done. Iterating Over Params Hash

I'm having an extremely frustrating time getting some images to upload. They are obviously being uploaded as rack/multipart but the way that I'm iterating over my params hash must be causing the problem. I could REALLY use some help, so I can stop pulling out my hair. Hi I am currently reading the book "Javascript: The Good Parts" and was playing with Functions. I produced a test script to test some properties and I am somewhat confused by the results. jQuery UI datepicker will not display - full code included

I am having trouble displaying the jQuery datepicker as shown here: http://jqueryui.com/demos/datepicker/ I believe I downloaded all of the proper files, but to be certain, I started from scratch and ripped the demo site. Not all of it, but what I believed to be the important parts. The result is no datepicker to be shown and no javascript errors. Customize a WCF RIA Services EndpointRSS Feed

Is it possible to customize the parameters of a WCF RIA Services endpoint? Specifically, I would like to create a custom binding for the endpoint and increase the maxReceivedMessageSize to allow sending the contents of a file that is a few megabytes in size. tree view; show lines property is not working properly

Hii, I am a bigginer in using tree view control. I am using tree view control to make a simple tree like structure. But when i use show lines property it is not connecting to the root node. XSLT pass node into CDATA JS

I have the following xml <AAA> <BBB>Total</BBB> </AAA> Transforming it with the following xslt using the xsl:copy-of tag, because I want to use the xml to create a xml doc in js. <xsl:template match="/"> <![CDATA[ function myFunc() { xmlStr = ']]><xsl:copy-of select="/"/><![CDATA['; } ]]> </xsl:template> The output looks like this function myFunc() { xmlStr = '<AAA> <BBB>Total</BBB> </AAA>'; } JS doesn't like this because of the missing semicolons ending the lines. How can I fix my xsl to get the below result: function myFunc() { xmlStr = '<AAA><BBB>Total</BBB></AAA>'; } I've tried normalize-space() and translate() but they strip the tags from the xml. Thanks!

Control pdb file output from build defintion file

Hello, I am trying to generate a release build with no pdb files generated. I have seen numerous posts that suggest right-clicking on the project, selecting Properties, going to the Build tab and then to the Advanced... butoon and changing Debug Info to none. This works and all, but I need to do this for a build of ~50 solutions which contain ~25 projects each! Other posts mention editing the appropriate .csproj file, but again, with so many projects, this would take a long time. Is there any way to achieve this via the TFSBuild.proj file? I have tried adding the following to the TFSBuild.proj file, with no luck. <PropertyGroup> <Configuration>Release</Configuration> <Platform>AnyCPU</Platform> </PropertyGroup> <PropertyGroup> <DebugSymbols>false</DebugSymbols> <DebugType>none</DebugType> <Optimize>true</Optimize> </PropertyGroup> The following line prints out Release|AnyCPU, none, and false, but I still see .pdb file in the $(OutputDir) folder. <Message Text="$Configuration|Platform): $(Configuration)|$(Platform)" /> <Message Text="DebugType is: $(DebugType)"/> <Message Text="DebugSymbols is: $(DebugSymbols)"/> Thanks in advance, Urvi

Why does my GridSplitter not work at all?

I'm migrating a WinForms app to WPF. Everything has gone well so far except in relation to my attempts to use GridSplitter which I can never seam to make resize anything at run-time. To make sure it wasn't just my code I attempted to compile the GridSplitter sample from LearnWPF.com and it doesn't appear to work either. I am expecting to see the standard resize cursor when I mouse over the splitter which doesn't happen, and as far as I can see there is no other visual representation of the splitter in the window either. Multiple database with NHibernate

Hi, I have two databases. One from Oracle 10g. Another from Mysql. I have configured my web application with Nhibernate for Oracle and now I am in need of using the MySQL database. So how can i configure the hibernate.cfg.xml so that i can use both of the database at the same application?
