• Problems after the installation of ubuntu

  hello members can anyone help me solve this issue. i have just installed ubuntu for the 1st time using vmware on windows 7 everything has been installed smoothly but after the installation in the login screen username is coming and when i try to enter password it is not taking any input, keyboard is not working at all and after moving away from ubuntu keyboard and everthing else is working fine. plz help thanks in advance.

• iphone - debugging on device crashes immediately

  When I try to debug my app on the iphone device, the splash screen shows and then the app crashes immediately. If I run the app in the simulator or on the device (not from XCode) it runs fine. I tried putting a breakpoint in the main method and it doesn't seem to hit it. There are no logs generated. ideas? suggestions?

When the user views the full size image, taps the screen(hiding the controls), when they tap again the controls reappear but the status bar is there too. I have an link which animates some div-s height when its hovered... but div has big height and it goes beyond the visible bottom end of the screen so i have to scroll to see the data and when i scroll I leave the hover area and so the div toggles it's height to 0px... how to make automatic scroll to the end of the div when it toggles...   I am trying to have a UI which is a full screen UIWebView. When the view is touched the tool bar appears. I can do everything but get the touchend event in the UIWebView. I have tried putting a UIColor.Clear'd UIView ontop and catching TouchEnd there and passing it on, but would like a better solution. I understand that we are not supposed to subclass the UIWebView from the docs. Ideas?

  Are there any libraries or frameworks that provide the functionality of a browser, but do not need to actually render physically onto the screen? I want to automate navigation on web pages (Mechanize does this, for example), but I want the full browser experience, including Javascript. Thus, I'd like to have a virtual browser of some sort, that I can use to "click on links" programmatically, have DOM elements and JS scripts render within it, and manipulate these elements. • How can I make one child window draw over another within the same form?

  Let's say I have ten child windows within a form. How do I make sure one of those windows is drawn over all the others? For example, how do I make sure that window 6 always overdraws windows 1-5 and 7-10? I don't want the window to be drawn over everything else on the screen, just everything else within that form. I've already tried using HWND_TOPMOST and HWND_TOP (see http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2823700/how-can-i-make-a-child-window-topmost ) but it didn't work. :(

• Is it possible to include JButton in a JTable?

  I have a JTable that stores the results of a database query, so far so good. What I want is for the last column in each table to have a clickible JButton that will open the edit screen for the object represented in that row, and that means the button will need to know the details of the first column in the table from its own row (the ID from the database). Any advice? I already tried just adding JButtons but they turned into Text when I tried to run it.
