  • I need help with creating a data structure in PHP

    - by alex
What I need to do is have a data structure that shows jobs organised into 14 day periods, but only when an id is the same. I've implemented all sorts of stuff, but they have failed miserably. Ideally, maybe a SQL expert could handle all of this in the query. Here is some of my code. You can assume all library stuff works as expected. $query = 'SELECT date, rig_id, comments FROM dor ORDER BY date DESC'; $dors = Db::query(Database::SELECT, $query)->execute()->as_array(); This will return all jobs, but I need to have them organised by 14 day period with the same rig_id value. $hitches = array(); foreach($dors as $dor) { $rigId = $dor['rig_id']; $date = strtotime($dor['date']); if (empty($hitches)) { $hitches[] = array( 'rigId' => $rigId, 'startDate' => $date, 'dors' => array($dor) ); } else { $found = false; foreach($hitches as $key => $hitch) { $hitchStartDate = $hitch['startDate']; $dateDifference = abs($hitchStartDate - $date); $isSameHitchTimeFrame = $dateDifference < (Date::DAY * 14); if ($rigId == $hitch['rigId'] AND $isSameHitchTimeFrame) { $found = true; $hitches[$key]['dors'][] = $dor; } } if ($found === false) { $hitches[] = array( 'rigId' => $rigId, 'startDate' => $date, 'dors' => array($dor) ); } } } This seems to work OK splitting up by rig_id, but not by date. I also think I'm doing it wrong because I need to check the earliest date. Is it possible at all to do any of this in the database query? To recap, here is my problem I have a list of jobs with all have a rig_id (many jobs can have the same) and a date. I need the data to be organised into hitches. That is, the rig_id must be the same per hitch, and they must span a 14 day period, in which the next 14 days with the same rig_id will be a new hitch. Can someone please point me on the right track? Cheers

  • Is there any way to disable Erubis from printing "** Erubis 2.6.5" when starting the Rails environme

    - by Nathan
I have several frequent Cron jobs that are run via Rake and the output of those jobs are e-mailed (via a MAILTO). Due to the fact that these tasks load the Rails environment (which includes Erubis) they always prints out "** Erubis 2.6.5" on startup. This means that an e-mail is always generated since Cron receives output. Is there any way to configure Erubis to cease printing this startup message to the console?

  • Rails - good tool to create a scheduled background process which will regularly retrieve messages fr

    - by adam
Background Job gets mentioned a lot but all the tutorials I've seen seem to indicate that its for queuing jobs which are created by some external event such as a user clicking "Send mail". But what about when you have code that needs to scheduled to run every 30 seconds to listen for new messages from twitter? Normally rake is recommended for set in stone schedules but it inst so efficient for frequent jobs as it has to to load the entire rails app each time. Can anyone recommend anything for this situation?

    - by rabbit
Hi, I have multiple quartz cron jobs in a load balanced environment. Currently these jobs are running on each node, which is not desirable. I want a node to run only a particular scheduler and if the node crashes, another node should run the scheduler intended for the node that crashed. How can this be done with spring 2.5.6/tomcat load balancer.

    - by Marius
When submitting changelists in Perforce I need to allocate a job. The jobs which I am supposed to associate with my changelist are not allocated to me and does not show up in the list of available jobs when I invoke "p4 submit". I know the job number which I am going to use, but can't find a way to specify it. Basically, I want to do something like: p4 submit -j But there is no -j option...

  • Primefaces TreeView node expansion

Being new to primefaces, I have been researching a way to have TreeView in dynamic mode update a separate tab pane given the id on Node expansion. This works great for node selection with the "update" attribute. Can it work the same way on Node Expansion was well? Here is my code that works when a node is selected: <p:tree id="tree" dynamic="true" var="node" cache="true" update="details" value="#{treeBean.root}" rendered="#{treeBean.root != null}" styleClass="inventoryTree" nodeExpandListener="#{treeBean.onNodeExpand}" nodeSelectListener="#{treeBean.onNodeSelect}">

  • RouteTable.Routes.GetVirtualPath with route data asp.net MVC 2

    - by Bill
Dear all, I'm trying to get a URL from my routes table. Here is the method. private static void RedirectToRoute(ActionExecutingContext context, string param) { var actionName = context.ActionDescriptor.ActionName; var controllerName = context.ActionDescriptor.ControllerDescriptor.ControllerName; var rc = new RequestContext(context.HttpContext, context.RouteData); string url = RouteTable.Routes.GetVirtualPath(rc, new RouteValueDictionary(new { actionName = actionName, controller = controllerName, parameter = param })).VirtualPath; context.HttpContext.Response.Redirect(url, true); } I'm trying to map it to. However RouteTable.Routes.GetVirtualPath(rc, new RouteValueDictionary(new { actionName = actionName, controller = controllerName, parameter = param })) keeps giving me null. Any thoughts? routes.MapRoute( "default3", // Route name "{parameter}/{controller}/{action}", // URL with parameters new { parameter= "parameterValue", controller = "Home", action = "Index" } ); I know I can use redirectToAction and other methods, but I would like to change the URL in the browser with new routedata.

  • Limiting Number of Characters in a ContentEditable div

    - by Bill Dami
Hi guys, I am using contenteditable div elements in my web application and I am trying to come up with a solution to limit the amount of characters allowed in the area, and once the limit is hit, attempting to enter characters simply does nothing. This is what I have so far: var content_id = 'editable_div'; //binding keyup/down events on the contenteditable div $('#'+content_id).keyup(function(){ check_charcount(content_id, max); }); $('#'+content_id).keydown(function(){ check_charcount(content_id, max); }); function check_charcount(content_id, max) { if($('#'+content_id).text().length > max) { $('#'+content_id).text($('#'+content_id).text().substring(0, max)); } } This DOES limit the number of characters to the number specified by 'max', however once the area's text is set by the jquery .text() function the cursor resets itself to the beginning of the area. So if the user keeps on typing, the newly entered characters will be inserted at the beginning of the text and the last character of the text will be removed. So really, I just need some way to keep the cursor at the end of the contenteditable area's text.

  • java 7 upgrade and hibernate annotation processor error

    - by Bill Turner
I am getting the following warning, which seems to be triggering a subsequent warning and an error. I have been googling like mad, though have not found anything that makes it clear what it is I should do to resolve this. This issue occurs when I execute an Ant build. I am trying to migrate our project to Java 7. I have changed all the source='1.6' and target="1.6" to 1.7. I did find this related article: Forward compatible Java 6 annotation processor and SupportedSourceVersion It seems to indicate that I should build the Hibernate annotation processor jar myself, compiling it with with 1.7. It does not seem I should be required to do so. The latest version of the class in question (in hibernate-validator-annotation-processor-5.0.1.Final.jar) has been compiled with 1.6. Since the code in said class refers to SourceVersion.latestSupported(), and the 1.6 of that returns only RELEASE_6, there does not seem to be a generally available solution. Here is the warning: [javac] warning: Supported source version 'RELEASE_6' from annotation processor 'org.hibernate.validator.ap.ConstraintValidationProcessor' less than -source '1.7' And, here are the subsequent warnings/error. • VS2010 MSTest CruiseControl.NET .NET 3.5

    - by Bill Campbell
Hi, We're in the process of upgrading from VS2008 to VS2010 since it's now released. We are using CC.NET along with MSTest and want to use MS coverage tool instead of NCover. Interestingly, as I've seen others talking about as well, when you upgrade your project from VS2008 to VS2010 your Test Projects get converted to .NET 4. Nice move!! So WTF does one do with their CI environment in order to build this stuff (some projects in .net 3.5, some in .net 4 - these are different FRAMEWORKS!) LOL!!! It seems that I might need to have my CC.NET build two separate projects? - not sure about how to run the units tests from cruise with .net 4. Has anyone done this and have a snippet of their config they might share? And I thought this was going to be a simple thing. :( thanks! Bill44077

  • What is the single best free Eclipse plugin for a Java developer

    - by Bill Michell
Some Eclipse plugins are mandated by your environment. The appropriate source code management plugin, for example - and I'm not interested in those. Some provide useful enhancements, but in a specific niche. I'm not interested in those. Some are great, but cost money. I'm not interested in those. Some were really useful on older versions of Eclipse, but are now part of the core build of the latest Eclipse version (3.4 as I write this). I'm not interested in those. I want advice on which plugins every Java SE developer should be installing, one per answer please.
