Absolute Top Programming Tips [closed]

I'm very intersted in the stuff that REALLY makes a critical difference to career in programming, other than intrinsic stuff like how smart your are, where you were born, etc...
Some ideas:
1) Best approach to managing small, medium, and large teams.
2) Most important books to read.
3) Most important skills to know.
4) Correct balance of learning theory vs. just writing code.
5) A good approach to estimating time and cost of a project.
6) Etc...
