    My app allows the user to access their corporate voice mail. Normally, durring a phone call when the user holds the device up to their ear, the screen shuts off so they wont accidentally push buttons with their face. I would like to make my app do the same thing when the user is listening to their voice mail. anyone know how to do this?

But I can't find a way to restore all windows within my previously detached session. I can see that I can restore just one of them by ID. But how can I reattach exact the same session environment with all the windows in it?

    Is there a way to capture the screen but without the app itself getting shown. I know how to minimize or make a frame invisible but this has to be done real fast cos it's going to happen alot in each second (at least once every second).   • Windows 7 login screen show only last user and "Other User" icons after profile problem.

    I recently had a profile problem with my Windows 7 PC. My original profile in the registry had ".bak" appended to it and a new profile was created. I was unable to login with the new profile. I fixed this immediate problem by logging on in safe mode. This enabled me to restore my original profile. However, since that moment the login screen now operates differently. Instead of showing icons for all the users with accounts on the PC, it now only shows two icons. The first icon is the last user who logged on and the second icon always shows "Other User". I have tried several different solutions recommended by other people with similar problems, but none of them have fixed the problem. I think the person who started this thread has the same problem, but none of the proposed solutions helped him either. Any help much appreciated.

    Hello, Here is my setup Host OS: XP SP3 Guest OS: XP SP3 (using VMWare) I checked the /SAFEBOOT option in System Config utility in guest for troubleshooting. Now the guest OS boots up in Safe Mode but I cannot login with my user id/password. Here is what I tried: [domainName]\[userid] for user name = Login Fails Administrator with blank password = Login fails Safe Mode with Networking = Login fails Safe Mode with Command Prompt = Login fails Last Known Good Configuration = starts in safe mode, login fails Start Windows Normally = starts in safe mode, login fails Don't have cd to get to the recovery console Any ideas?

  • Is there a good way to wrap an existing Python based web application to require a login?

    I'm in the process of installing an open-source Python based web application to an internal server here at work. The existing code is open - it doesn't require a login to view it - but one of the requirements is that users have to be approved before they can see anything. Is there a good way (using Apache configuration files for example, but any method would be great) to wrap the application so that any access requires a login? I would like to avoid modifying the open-source code (a maintenance nightmare every time a new release comes out). Any thoughts or suggestions?

    I have been given the task at work of screen scraping one of our legacy web apps to extract certain data from the code. The data is formatted and "should" be displayed exactly the same every time. I am just not sure how to go about doing this. It's a full html file with header and footer navigations but in the middle of all this is the data I need. I will already be outside the range of the sensor trying to touch the object on the game screen.. Is there anyway I can scale the skeletal values so that the users can easily touch objects on the screen without having to stretch or bend too much?

    Hello, I'm trying to do a screen capture with gtk-recordmydesktop and other capture tools but for some reason, it will not capture an output screen while its running. It captures one screen but doesn't show the rest. I can capture my screen running if I use my flip camcorder but recordmydesktop will not work. Is there a way to capture live video playing on the desktop without using an outside camera? Brian
