    Hi, Just trying to still get my head around IOC principles. Q1: Static Methods - Should util classes with static helper methods be wired up with IOC? For example if I have a HttpUtils class with a number of static methods, should I be trying to pass it to other business logic classes via IOC? Follow on questions for this might be: Q2: Singletons - What about things like logging where you may typically get access to it via a Logger.getInstance() type call. Would you normally leave this as is, and NOT use IOC for injecting the logger into business classes that need it? Q3: Static Classes - I haven't really used this concept, but are there any guidelines for how you'd typically handle this if you were moving to an IOC based approach. Thanks in advance.

  • SetCursor reverts after a mouse move

    I am using SetCursor to set the system cursor to my own image. The code looks something like this: // member on some class HCURSOR _cursor; // at init time _cursor = LoadCursorFromFile("somefilename.cur"); // in some function SetCursor(_cursor); When I do this the cursor does change, but on the first mouse move message it changes back to the default system arrow cursor. This is the only code in the project that is setting the cursor. What do I need to do to make the cursor stay the way I set it?

I'm looking for a variant of the STL (it's okay if it doesn't have all the functionality) that's optimized for short compile times -- I get bothered by long compile times that delay my compile-debug-edit cycle.   • Can't Instantiate Windsor Custom Component Activator

    Hi, I'm getting an exception calling Resolve: KernelException: Could not instantiate custom activator Inner Exception: {"Constructor on type 'MyProj.MyAdapter`1[[MyProj.MyBusinessObject, MyAsm, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null]]' not found."} There's definitely a public parameterless constructor there (and I've verified this using reflection at runtime)...so I figure the problem might have to do with the fact that it's generic? I've tried getting the component model object and setting RequiresGenericArguments to true, but that hasn't gotten me anywhere. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks.

    Hy I am a uber nube to jquery my question is like this: if I have multiple toggle on same page and the div I`m toggleing must be desplayed in the same div. For example I have in div 'box' 6 divs named '1' '2' '3' '4' etc and all are hiden if I click on a 'a' tag named 1 it will display content div 1 in div 'box' if I click tag 'a' named 2 will display content div 2 in box and hide div 1 etc. My problem is that I havent been able to hide div 1 if div 2 is show This is my code $(document).ready(function(){ $('#content1').hide(); $('#content').hide(); $('a.aici').click(function(){ $('#content1').toggle('slow'); }); $('a.acolo').click(function(){ $('#content').toggle('slow'); }); }); I need an if function to hide all except the div that is shown Thx for your time

  • Is there an easy way to make `boost::ptr_vector` more debugger friendly in Visual Studio?

    I'm considering using boost::ptr_container as a result of the responses from this question. My biggest problem with the library is that I cannot view the contents of the collection in the debugger, because the MSVC debugger doesn't recognize it, and therefore I cannot see the contents of the containers. (All the data gets stored as void * internally) I've heard MSVC has a feature called "debugger visualizers" which would allow the user to make the debugger smarter about these kinds of things, but I've never written anything like this, and I'm not hugely firmiliar with such things. For example, compare the behavior of boost::shared_ptr with MSVC's own std::tr1::shared_ptr. In the debugger (i.e. in the Watch window), the boost version shows up as a big mess of internal variables used for implementing the shared pointer, but the MSVC version shows up as a plain pointer to the object (and the shared_ptr's innards are hidden). How can I get started either using or implementing such a thing?

    Is there a way to move a sequential set of commits from one (local) branch to another? I have searched quite a bit and still haven't found a clear answer for what I want to do. For example, say I have this: master A---B---C \ feature-1 M---N---O---P---R---Q And I have decided that the last 3 commits would be better off like this: master A---B---C \ feature-1 M---N---O \ f1-crazy-idea P---R---Q I know I can do this, and it does work: $ git log --graph --pretty=oneline (copying down sha-1 ID's of P, R, Q) $ git checkout feature-1 $ git reset --hard HEAD^^^ $ git checkout -b f1-crazy-idea $ git cherry-pick <P sha1> $ git cherry-pick <R sha1> $ git cherry-pick <Q sha1> I was hoping that instead there would be a more concise way to do this, possibly with git rebase, although I haven't had much luck.     Hi there guys, I am using Jquery Drag and drop to move divs across a page and this works perfectly. however what i would like is on each one of the div containers is to have a close button which when clicks removes the div from where it is and places it in a pre-defined div at the bottom like a widget gallery.   • Moving TFS project collection

    Hi guys, Im just trying to attach a collection from another tfs server(both 2010), but this collection was not detached before restoring on to the new server. Now the problem is that when i try to attach the collection it return an error saying the collection was not detached properly.Make things worse, the old tfs server has been removed completely.   • StrcutureMap Wiring - Sanity Check Please

    Hi - Im new to IOC and StructureMap and have an n-level application and am looking at how to setup the wirings (ForRequestedType ...) and just want to check with people with more experience that this is the best way of doing it! I dont want my UI application object to reference my persistence layer directly so am not able to wire everything up in this UI project. I now have it working by defining a Registry class in each project which wires up the types in the project as needed. The layer above registers its types and also calls the assembly below and looks for registries so that all types are registered throught the hierrachy. E.g. I have UI, Service, Domain, and Persistence libraries. In my service layer the registry looks like Scan(x => { x.Assembly("MyPersistenceProject"); x.LookForRegistries(); }); ForRequestedType<IService>().TheDefault.Is.OfConcreteType<MyService>(); Is this a recommended way of doing this in a setup such as this? Are there better ways and what are the advantages / disadvantages of these approaches in this case?

  • How do you move html from one div to another with Jquery without breaking javascript

    I have two divs for different sections of my webpage, a working and a reference section. One is fixed size, the other is variable sized and they are vertically stacked. I am trying to design it so that if you want to work on something in the reference pane, you click a link and it swaps all the data between the two panes. My idea was to do the following: var working = $("#working_pane").html(); var ref = $("#reference_pane").html(); $("#working_pane").html(ref); $("#reference_pane").html(working); The problem with this, is it seems that any javascript referenced inside of these panes (for example, in place editors) get broken upon switching. No javascript errors occur, it's just that nothing happens, like the javascript ties are broken. Is there any to move the html without breaking the javascript contained?

Many of us need to scale their applications too, so they complicate their lifes with Terracotta, Glassfish/JBoss/insertyourfavouritehere clusters. But is it really the way to go? Are you using any of the above? Here's some ideas we currently have implemented in a yet-to-be-opensourced framework, and I'd like to see what you think of it, or maybe "it's a complete ripoff of XY!". cluster-wide object replication - give it a name, and whenever you do something (in any node) on such an object, it will get replicated - with different guarantees do transparent soft-loadbalancing - simplest scenario: restful webservice method call proxied to an other node view-only node injection: inject a proxy to a "named" object, and get your calls automatically proxied to a node Would you use something like that? Is there a current, stable, enterprise-ready implementation out there?

Core.dll Has common interfaces Shell.exe Loads all modules in assembly folder. References Core.dll ModuleA.dll Exports Name, Version of module. References Core.dll Shell.exe has a [Export] that contains an single instance of a third party application that I need to inject into all loaded modules. So far the code that I have in Shell.exe is: static void Main(string[] args) { ThirdPartyApp map = new ThirdPartyApp(); var ad = new AssemblyCatalog(Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly()); var dircatalog = new DirectoryCatalog("."); var a = new AggregateCatalog(dircatalog, ad); // Not to sure what to do here. } class Test { [Export(typeof(ThirdPartyApp))] public ThirdPartyApp Instance { get; set; } [Import(typeof(IModule))] public IModule Module { get; set; } } I need to create a instance of Test, and load Instance with map from the Main method then load the Module from ModuleA.dll that is in the executing directory then [Import] Instance into the loaded module. In ModuleA I have a class like this: [Export(IModule)] class Module : IModule { [Import(ThirdPartyApp)] public ThirdPartyApp Instance {get;set;} } I know I'm half way there I just don't know how to put it all together, mainly with loading up test with a instance of map from Main. Could anyone help me with this.

    I am looking for something very close to an application server with these features: it should handle a series of threads/daemons, allowing the user to start-stop-reload each one without affecting the others it should keep libraries separated between different threads/daemons it should allow to share some libraries Currently we have some legacy code reinventing the wheel... and not a perflectly round-shaped one at that! I thought to use Tomcat, but I don't need a web server, except maybe for the simple backoffice user interface (/manager/html). Any suggestion? Is there a non-web application server, or is there a better alternative to Tomcat (more lightweight, for example, or easier to configure)? Thanks in advance.

  • Custom cell and Delete/Move indicators

    Hello, I have a custom UITableViewCell. However, when I got in edit mode, I don't have any Delete and Move indicators appearing. The custom cell draws itself in the contentView. In layoutSubviews, I make sure there is space on the left and one the right of the contentView so that the controls can appear (if this was the problem). - (void)layoutSubviews { self.contentView.frame = CGRectMake(50, 0, self.frame.size.width - 100, sub.thumbnail.size.height + 20); } In the UITableViewController, I return YES in: - (BOOL)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView canMoveRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { How could I solve this lack of interactivity.     Hi, I have a "Product" base class, some other classes "ProductBookDetail","ProductDVDDetail" inherit from this class. I use a ProductService class to make operation on these classes. But, I have to do some check depending of the type (ISBN for Book, languages for DVD). I'd like to know the best way to cast "productDetail" value, I receive in SaveOrupdate. I tried GetType() and cast with (ProductBookDetail)productDetail but that's not work.     Hello, I am using Castle.Windsor as an IOC. So I am trying to resolve a service type in the constructor of an HTTPHandler. I keep receiving this error, "Constructor on type: "Namespace.type" not found." I've got a Border on a canvas, and i want to be able to move it around. i could do this easily with the MouseDragElementBehavior. but i don't want smooth movment, i want to to jump on the Y axis in an offset of 30. and on the X in 193. And it's done in MVVM, so i guess i should implement it as a behavior, right? anyway, how do i do this?
