    I have a WCF service application that uses a component called EnvironmentConfiguration that holds configuration information for my application. I am converting this service so that it can be used by different applications that have different configuration requirements. I want to identify the configuration to use by allowing an additional parameter to be passed to the service call i.e. public void DoSomething(string originalParameter, string callingApplication) What is the recommended way to alter the behaviour of the EnvironmentConfiguration class based on the transient data (callingApplication) without having to pass the callingApplication variable to all the component methods that need configuration information?

    Suppose I have a dependency that is registered as HttpRequestScoped so there is only one instance per request. How could I resolve a dependency of the same type outside of an HttpRequest? For example: // Global.asax.cs Registration builder.Register(c => new MyDataContext(connString)).As<IDatabase>().HttpRequestScoped(); _containerProvider = new ContainerProvider(builder.Build()); // This event handler gets fired outside of a request // when a cached item is removed from the cache. public void CacheItemRemoved(string k, object v, CacheItemRemovedReason r) { // I'm trying to resolve like so, but this doesn't work... var dataContext = _containerProvider.ApplicationContainer.Resolve<IDatabase>(); // Do stuff with data context. } The above code throws a DependencyResolutionException when it executes the CacheItemRemoved handler: No scope matching the expression 'value(Autofac.Builder.RegistrationBuilder`3+<c__DisplayClass0[MyApp.Core.Data.MyDataContext,Autofac.Builder.SimpleActivatorData,Autofac.Builder.SingleRegistrationStyle]).lifetimeScopeTag.Equals(scope.Tag)' is visible from the scope in which the instance was requested.

  • Unity to dispose of object

    Is there a way to make Unit dispose property-injected objects as part of the Teardown? The background is that I am working on an application that uses ASP.NET MVC 2, Unity and WCF. We have written our own MVC controller factory that uses unity to instantiate the controller and WCF proxies are injected using the [Dependency] attribute on public properties of the controller. At the end of the page life cycle the ReleaseController method of the controller factory is called and we call IUnityContainer.Teardown(theMvcController). At that point the controller is disposed as expected but I also need to dispose the injected wcf-proxies. (Actually I need to call Close and/or Abort on them and not Dispose but that is a later problem.) I could of course override the controllers' Dispose methods and clean up the proxies there, but I don't want the controllers to have to know about the lifecycles of the injected interfaces or even that they refer to WCF proxies. If I need to write code myself for this - what would be the best extension point? I'd appreciate any pointer.

To inject different implementation of a repository, I want to have a switch in app.config which changes all real implementation of a repository to a mock repositories. Lets say IRepository has two implementations RealRepository and MockRepository ForRequestedType() .TheDefaultIsConcreteType(); I want to have a switch in app.config / web.config say (Mock=1), which changes all real repositories implementation to ForRequestedType() .TheDefaultIsConcreteType(); I don't want to write whole plugin definition in app.config, just want one switch, how do I implement this?

    I'm trying to set the DataContext on ApplicationMainWindow which is a WPF window. Component.For<ApplicationMainWindow>() .DynamicParameters( (k,d) => { d["DataContext"] = k[typeof(ApplicationMainViewModel)]; }) ); I'm instantiating my window like so: Window window = _Kernel[typeof(ApplicationMainWindow)] as Window; When I configure windsor via the xml config it leaves my DataContext NULL, but when I configure it via code it works like a charm. Do I need to use code to pull this off, or should it work via XML config ? Thanks, Raul

  • Copy / Move One SAP Client From One System to another System

    We have one SAP system in the US (lets call it TKIJVPL1), this system has an SAP Client, client 241. We have another SAP system in Germany (lets call it Lockweiler). We need to move this client 241 from our TKIJVPL1 server to this new server. Can I simply use transaction SCC8? It says client export, but when I look at the options it says Source client : 241 (which is good), it says Profile Name SAP_ALL (which is also good as I need all data), but Target System all that is coming up is PL1 / QL1. What is the easiest way to export one client from one system to another system in SAP?

    I'm using Ninject to retrieve my DataContext from the kernel and I was wondering if Ninject automatically disposes the DataContext, or how he handles the dispose() behaviour. From own experiences I know disposing the datacontext is pretty important and that whenever you create a direct object of the DataContext (as in: new DataContext()) you should use a using() block. My question thus is: When im retrieving my DataContext from the kernel, should I still have to use a using() block? Or does Ninject fix this for me?

I thought of create a viewbase and inside it I create my dependencies instances and inject it in my presenter instance. Could also have a HttpModule that intercept the calls to page and then I could inject my dependencies. I have some ideas but none I can inject my view in constructor only I can inject my view in mey presente by property. Someone have any ideas how do you do to inject my dependencies and my view in constructor of the presenter?

    I'm building an application which uses AutoFac 2 for DI. I've been reading that using a static IoCHelper (Service Locator) should be avoided. Continuing down this path, I'm curious if I can completely eliminate my IoCHelper. Here is the scenario: I have a static Settings class that serves as a wrapper around my configuration implementation. Since the Settings class is a dependency to a majority of my other classes, the wrapper keeps me from having to inject the settings class all over my application. Settings.cs public static class Settings { public static IAppSettings AppSettings { get { return IoCHelper.Resolve<IAppSettings>(); } } } public interface IAppSettings { string Setting1 { get; } string Setting2 { get; } } public class AppSettings : IAppSettings { public string Setting1 { get { return GetSettings().AppSettings["setting1"]; } } public string Setting2 { get { return GetSettings().AppSettings["setting2"]; } } protected static IConfigurationSettings GetSettings() { return IoCHelper.Resolve<IConfigurationSettings>(); } } Is there a way to handle this without using a service locator and without having to resort to injecting AppSettings into each and every class?     In Microsoft Windows, this works: mnu := GetSystemMenu(h, false); EnableMenuItem(mnu, SC_CLOSE, MF_BYCOMMAND or MF_GRAYED); But this does not work: mnu := GetSystemMenu(h, false); EnableMenuItem(mnu, SC_MOVE, MF_BYCOMMAND or MF_GRAYED); Hence I know how to disable the "Close" system menu item of a window, but not the "Move" item. How do I do that? Update Of course one alternative to using the very nice function EnableMenuItem, is to use SetMenuItemInfo: FillChar(info, sizeOf(info), 0); with info do begin cbSize := sizeOf(info); fMask := MIIM_STATE; fState := MFS_GRAYED; end; SetMenuItemInfo(mnu, SC_MOVE, false, info); But this again works perfectly for SC_CLOSE, but not at all for SC_MOVE!

    Hi everybody, I have a tree control and I want to give the user the ability that he can move up and down the element he just selected with a up and a downbutton. The tree gets generated from XML. I managed to insert the selected item a second time at a other place, with the following code: var parentXML:XML = XML(containerTree.selectedItem).parent(); var upperItem:XML = topContainer.source[containerTree.selectedIndex-1]; parentXML.insertChildBefore(upperItem,XML(containerTree.selectedItem)); but then I have the item there twice in the List.     While I found similar question I didn't find an answer to my problem When I try to rename the directory from FOO to foo via git mv FOO foo I get fatal: renaming 'FOO' failed: Invalid argument OK. So I try git mv FOO foo2 && git mv foo2 foo But when I try to commit via git commit . I get # On branch master # Untracked files: # (use "git add <file>..." to include in what will be committed) # # foo nothing added to commit but untracked files present (use "git add" to track) When I add the directory via git add foo nothing changes and git commit . gives me the same message again. What am I doing wrong? I thought I'm using a case-sensitive system (OSX) why can't I simply rename the directory?

    I know this is somewhat of a dead horse, but I'm not finding a satisfactory answer. First let me say, I am NOT dealing with a web app, otherwise managing NH Session is quite simple. I have a bunch of enterprise components. Those components have their own service layer that will act on multiple repositories. For example: Claim Component Claim Processing Service Claim Repository Billing Component Billing Service Billing REpository Policy Component PolicyLockService Policy Repository Now I may have a console, or windows application that needs to coordinate an operation that involves each of the services. I want to write the services to be injected with (DI) their required repositories. The Repositories should have an ISession, or similar, injected into them so that I can have this operation performed under one ISession/ITransaction. I'm aware of the Unit Of Work pattern and the many samples out there, but none of them showed DI. I'm also leery of [ThreadStatic] because this stuff can also be used from WCF and I have found enough posts describing how to do that. I've read about Business Conversations, but need something simple that each windows/console app can easily bootstrap since we have alot of these apps and some pretty inexperienced developers. So how can I configure StructureMap to inject the same ISession into each of the dependent repositories from an application?     Hi a little background: I am Using Spring 2.5, and specifically spring IOC and annotations. I am using @Autowired in my code (the Autowiring is done by type) and use @Component for exposing Classes to the Automatic wiring. The situation described bellow arose while i tried to test my code. now to the problem: Note: i use a different Spring Context for the Test environment. I have a class FOO which is @Autowired but in the test context i want to use a different class of the same type MockFoo (extends FOO) The Spring Setup of course fails do so automatically due to multiple options for the Dependency Injection of the FOO class (both FOO and MockFOO comply to the Type check) I am looking for a way to inject the test bean instead of the original bean. I expected Spring to allow using the Context configurion file to override a bean injection or to order Spring not to autowire a specific bean BUT All these option seem to exists only for the beans which were originally defined in the Spring Context Configuration file

  • Move entire line up and down in Vim

    In Notepad++, I can use ctrl + shift + up/down to move the current line up and down. Is there a similar command to this in Vim? I have looked through endless guides, but have found nothing. If there isn't, how could I bind the action to that key combination? Edit: Mykola's answer works for all lines, apart from those at the beginning and end of the buffer. Moving the first line up or the bottom line down deletes the line, and when moving the bottom line up it jumps two spaces initially, like a pawn! Can anyone offer any refinements?
