  • Using LEFT JOIN to only selection one joined row

    I'm trying to LEFT JOIN two tables, to get a list of all rows from TABLE_1 and ONE related row from TABLE_2. I have tried LEFT JOIN and GROUP BY c_id, however I wan't the related row from TABLE_2 to be sorted by isHeadOffice DESC. Here are some sample tables TABLE 1 c_id Name ---------------- 1 USA 2 Canada 3 England 4 France 5 Spain TABLE2 o_id c_id Office isHeadOffice ------------------------------------------------ 1 1 New York 1 2 1 Washington 0 3 1 Boston 0 4 2 Toronto 0 5 3 London 0 6 3 Manchester 1 7 4 Paris 1 8 4 Lyon 0 So what I am trying to get from this would be something like: RESULTS c_id Name Office ---------------------------- 1 USA New York 2 Canada Toronto 3 England Manchester 4 France Paris 5 Spain NULL I'm using PHP & MySQL. The left- and rightmost cells (A1 and C1) must be 7px wide, and the middle cell (B1) must scale according to the width of the table. The same goes for the bottom row (A3, B3, C3). The middle row, however, needs to scale in height - in other words, it needs to be (tableheight - 14px). The left- and rightmost cells (A2, C2) need to be 7 pixels wide.   • Android - Retrieve all data from a SQLite table row

    I have searched and cannot find an answer to my issue so i hope i am not completely barking up the wrong tree (so to speak). I am new to android and have started to create an app. My app on one screen creates and adds entries to a SQLite database using public class DatabaseHandler extends SQLiteOpenHelper and this all appears to work. I retrieve all the data and populate it into a grid, again this now works. My issue is I am unable to retrieve one complete line from the grid. I populate/display the grid with the following code. I have cut a lot out as the grid is made in stages, header, blank lines etc but the grid does display as I want. The id’s work as when I touch a line it displays its unique id. The onClick is right at the end and when I use getText() instead of getID() all it returns is the data in the labelDate. How do I retrieve all the labels as listed below?     A view with a table gets pushed onto the screen and I want it to scroll to a certain row in the table before the screen actually displays. I use this code within the final viewcontroller. NSIndexPath *scrollToPath = [NSIndexPath indexPathForRow:5 inSection:0]; [theTable scrollToRowAtIndexPath:scrollToPath atScrollPosition:UITableViewScrollPositionTop animated:NO]; When I put it in viewDiDAppear method, then it briefly flashes from the intial position of the table (at the top) to the row I want. I don't want it to show the initial position. If I put it in viewDidLoad or viewWillAppear then it crashes with a NSRangeException, presumably because the table isn't set up yet. How would I get it to scroll without showing the initial position?

    I'm studying software engineering, and came across this exercise: it asks to write a recursive function in C language that receives a positive integer and an empty string, and "translates" the number into a string. Meaning that after calling the function, the string we sent would contain the number but as a string of its digits. I wrote this function, but when I tried printing the string, it did print the number I sent, but in reverse. This is the function: void strnum(int n, char *str) { if(n) { strnum(n/10, str+1); *str = n%10 + '0'; } } For example, I sent the number 123 on function call, and the output was 321 instead of 123. I also tried exchanging the two lines within the if statement, and it still does the same. I can't figure out what I did wrong. Can someone help please? NOTE: Use of while and for loop statements is not allowed for the exercise.

We are concerned about the number of 1s(even or not) not the number of zeros doesn't matter. Then which is the correct option and why?

But sometimes i am getting excel file in such a way, that the first 2 rows and columns are empty rows. That is not even fixed everytime. so the format of the table after upload is not as expected. It is assigning F1, F2 as column names for the table in mssql. It varies from file to file. I want to program it in such away so that the user can enter the row number and the column number from where the actual data is starting. So that while upload it should from line 3 and column 2. I dont know how to specify that row and column while uploading. Please help me to solve the same.

    Hello, I have a mysql table. It has auto increment on the id. but I regularly delete rows so the numbers are all over the place. I need to get the last n rows out, but because of deletions, the common way of using the max of the autoincremented id column doesn't work well... 1 - Is their another way to get the bottom 50? 2 - Is their a way to get rows by actual row number? so if I have 4 rows labelled 1,2,3,4 delete row 2 then it will become 1,2,3 rather than 1,3,4?
