  • Gridview with row being edited causing error when form submitted

    Using ASP.NET VB, I have a form with some text boxes and a Gridview. If a user clicks the Edit button on a row in the gridview, and then tries to submit the form with a row still in edit mode on the Gridview, this error is generated - "Invalid postback or callback argument. Event validation is enabled using in configuration or <%@ Page EnableEventValidation="true" % in a page. For security purposes, this feature verifies that arguments to postback or callback events originate from the server control that originally rendered them. If the data is valid and expected, use the ClientScriptManager.RegisterForEventValidation method in order to register the postback or callback data for validation. " Any idea how to prevent this error??

  • How can I (both) create a row and accessing that row in the same 'Stored Procedure'?

    Hello, I'd like to get the value of the id column for an object just after I've created it. But I don't want to run another query for that. My book for beginner (SQL Server 2008 for Dummies) says that there are 2 tables (inserted and deleted) that hold the last row(s) that have been inserted, updated, or deleted. Unfortunately, only Triggers (says the book) can access those tables. But, if I use triggers, they will go off each time I "insert" a row even when I don't need them that functionality. Can I obtain the same effect with a Store Procedure (without having to run a separate query?) This is what I'm trying to do CREATE PROCEDURE myProcedure DECLARE @OrganizationName @ColumnID OUTPUT AS INSERT INTO Organization (OrganizationName) VALUES (@OrganizationName) SET @ColumnID = (// Please, I need Help here ...)     I am trying to setup jQuery rows, with add/remove row functionality. I got started with online tutorial, http://jsbin.com/aciba that works fine. It only has input forms though. We need select to choose from. Now, I made some changes to accept selects as as well as inputs: http://jsbin.com/emata This does not work. Try selecting option 3 in cell 1, and press add "Add". The row added gets default "Cell 1" selected option to 1. What could be the reason?

    I am trying to get the number of delete statements issued during the session, so I enabled statistics generation and I got a reference to it through SessionFactory.Statistics. But I don't see a way to get the global number of deletes. I can get the statistics for the entity, but I have one many-to-many mapped relationship that does not materialize in an entity, everything is done through a table that is not mapped to an entity. Is there a way to get this number?

    Challenge Here is the task, inspired by the well-known British TV game show Countdown. The challenge should be pretty clear even without any knowledge of the game, but feel free to ask for clarifications. And if you fancy seeing a clip of this game in action, check out this YouTube clip. It features the wonderful late Richard Whitely in 1997. You are given 6 numbers, chosen at random from the set {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 25, 50, 75, 100}, and a random target number between 100 and 999. The aim is to make use the six given numbers and the four common arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division; all over the rational numbers) to generate the target - or as close as possible either side. Each number may only be used once at most, while each arithmetic operator may be used any number of times (including zero.) Note that it does not matter how many numbers are used. Write a function that takes the target number and set of 6 numbers (can be represented as list/collection/array/sequence) and returns the solution in any standard numerical notation (e.g. infix, prefix, postfix). The function must always return the closest-possible result to the target, and must run in at most 1 minute on a standard PC. Note that in the case where more than one solution exists, any single solution is sufficient. Is it possible for the client to read the TCP sequence number of the packet which will carry m, before sending m? In fact, I'd like to append this sequence number to m, and send the resulting packet. (Well, things are more complicated, but let's keep it that simple. In fact, I'd like to apply authentication info to this sequence number, and then append it to m.)     I am trying to create a 2D array with vectors. I have a file that has for each line a set of numbers. Shouldn't that be still a string having the same value as item? It works on a separate example if I do straight from string to c_string, but when I use this getline I end up in this error situation, hints?

    Here is my problem: Create a constructor for a telephone number given a string in the form xxx-xxx-xxxx or xxx-xxxx for a local number. Throw an exception if the format is not valid. So I was thinking to validate it using a regular expression, but I don't know if I'm doing it correctly. Also what kind of exception would I have to throw? I am using Excel 2007 and while non vba ideas are preferred, vba is not a problem either!

    Hello everyone, I want to find the largest square in the number, but I am stuck at some point. I would really appreciate some suggestions. This is what I've done so far: I take the number on the input, factorize into prime numbers, and put the sequence of prime numbers to ArrayList. Numbers are sorted, in a sense, thus the numbers in the sequence are increasing. For example, 996 is 2 2 3 83 1000 is 2 2 2 5 5 5 100000 is 2 2 2 2 2 5 5 5 5 5 My idea now is to count number of occurrences of each elements in the sequence, so if the number of occurrences is divisible by two, then this is the square. In this way, I can get another sequence, where the right most element divisible by two is the largest square. What is the most efficient way to count occurrences in the ArrayList? Or is there any better way to find the largest square? Many thanks in advance!

    I am using a data grid and has bound a data source with it. I am trying to get the total number of records in the grid in overriden InitializePager method from pagedDataSource DataSourceCount. I thought DataSourceCount returns number of records from SelectCountMethod of ObjectDataSource. But DataSourceCount is giving me the page size and not the total number of records, whereas when I debug and see in SelectCountMethod it is returning correct number of total Records. I am not sure how to get the data from SelectCountMethod in DataGrid.

    Study question is to find the digit root of a already provided number. The teacher provides us with the number 2638. In order to find the digit root you have to add each digit separately 2 + 6 + 3 + 8 = 19. Then you take the result 19 and add those two digits together 1 + 9 = 10. Do the same thing again 1 + 0 = 1. The digit root is 1. My first step was to use the variable total to add up the number 2638 to find the total of 19. Then I tried to use the second while loop to separate the two digits by using the % I have to try and solve the problem by using basic integer arithmetic (+, -, *, /). 1.Is it necessary and or possible to solve the problem using nested while loops? 2.Is my math correct? 3. As I wrote it here it does not run in Eclipse.     I am trying to do a simple query to get a unique result back in hibernate here is my code. public String getName(Integer id) { Session session = getSessionFactory().openSession(); String name = (String)session.createSQLQuery("SELECT name FROM users WHERE user_id = :userId").setParameter("userId", id).uniqueResult(); return name; } The name that is being returned is stored as HTML text that includes html syntacx language. I think this is what is causing the problem but it doesnt make sense I just want to return it as a string. It is only happening on this one field name, I can get every other field in the row but this one it gives me the error. I am getting an exception. The exception I am getting is No Dialect mapping for JDBC type: -1; nested exception is org.hibernate.HibernateException How do you query for a specific column on a row in hibernate?
