  I'm moving from http to https for my entire site. The site is currently added to google webmaster tools as www.example.com and all the pages are indexed as http. How do i go about moving to the new https URLs on Google webmaster tools. Do I just submit a updated sitemap which has the https URLs OR Do I add a new site as https://www.example.com and submit the sitemap with https urls? All the http urls are set to redirect to their https counterparts.

  Me and a few of my friends decided to create a game for the App showdown. However, we wanted to make a commercial game out of it (for <5$). So the question is: If I want to submit a commercial app, what exactly do I have to do? We would be willing to provide it as open source software but want to sell it in USC anyway. How should I submit the app if we can do that? (Note: we would only open source if it's required, but would prefer to only share the source with the judges. Is that also possible?). Also: If I have to upload the source code to the PPA and let it build by ubuntu's build service: How do I do that with Mono-apps? It worked perfectly for other projects where I had CMakeFiles and stuff like that. But for Mono, I only have a MonoDevelop project file - how to do that right? Thanks

• Will the Mac app store accept an app that reads and parses iPhone backups?

  I wanted to submit an app to the Mac app store that reads the iPhone backup dir and provides some useful functionality on user's voicemails and sms messages. The app parses and reads the backup mbdb files, and extracts the voicemail and sms sqlite db files as well as the voicemails to a temp directory. Is this kind of app likely to be rejected since it reads an unpublished format? It's not using any private APIs. I realize none of you are reviewers but wondering if I should even try to submit it to the store.

  I've a new site just over 6 months with 50 unique visitors daily. It has good amount of duplicate pages which are not copyrighted. For example I've copied related companies product FAQ's "as is" in the site. Moreover I'm not supposed to modify a company's product's faqs. I fear my login may be banned by Adsense if I submit it. So I want to know: 1) Whether I can submit it for Adsense account 2) Whether Google can penalize me and in what way 3) How would Google come to know that the duplicate content on my site is not copyrighted?

• ASP.NET - Call required field validator before AJAX modalpopup, client side

  I have an ASP.NET/C# application. The user fills out a form with required fields, then clicks a submit button. An AJAX popup message is then displayed, and if they confirm, their information is posted back to the server. The problem is that the AJAX popup is fired BEFORE the req validator. I need to interrupt this and run the req validator, and then if successful show the popup. I know the req validator is working, because if you cancel the popup message, the req text is shown next to the fields.   I have built a website using PHP and MySQL and now I am looking for a hosting service. I am expecting about a 1000 users registering and about 5-10k pageviews/day in a week's time. So which host should I opt for? It will let users submit contents of type blobs and submit around 10 pictures per users. I hope that traffic will increase so can justhost's or bluehost's shared hosting serve that purpose or should I go for more dedicated ones. Basically the site is write heavy and there are average 2-3 MySQL queries per page and it is quite dynamic. So depending on these requirements which web hosting will be optimal for me.

• Concurrency Utilities for Java EE Early Draft (JSR 236)

  Concurrency Utilities for Java EE is being worked as JSR 236 and has released an Early Draft. It provides concurrency capabilities to Java EE application components without compromising container integrity. Simple (common) and advanced concurrency patterns are easily supported without sacrificing usability. Using Java SE concurrency utilities such as java.util.concurrent API, java.lang.Thread and java.util.Timer in a Java EE application component such as EJB or Servlet are problematic since the container and server have no knowledge of these resources. JSR 236 enables concurrency largely by extending the Concurrency Utilities API developed under JSR-166. This also allows a consistency between Java SE and Java EE concurrency programming model. There are four main programming interfaces available: ManagedExecutorService ManagedScheduledExecutorService ContextService ManagedThreadFactory ManagedExecutorService is a managed version of java.util.concurrent.ExecutorService. The implementations of this interface are provided by the container and accessible using JNDI reference: <resource-env-ref>  <resource-env-ref-name>    concurrent/BatchExecutor  </resource-env-ref-name>  <resource-env-ref-type>    javax.enterprise.concurrent.ManagedExecutorService  </resource-env-ref-type><resource-env-ref> and available as: @Resource(name="concurrent/BatchExecutor")ManagedExecutorService executor; Its recommended to bind the JNDI references in the java:comp/env/concurrent subcontext. The asynchronous tasks that need to be executed need to implement java.lang.Runnable or java.util.concurrent.Callable interface as: public class MyTask implements Runnable { public void run() { // business logic goes here }} OR public class MyTask2 implements Callable<Date> {  public Date call() { // business logic goes here   }} The task is then submitted to the executor using one of the submit method that return a Future instance. The implementations of this interface are provided by the container and accessible using JNDI reference: <resource-env-ref>  <resource-env-ref-name>    concurrent/BatchExecutor  </resource-env-ref-name>  <resource-env-ref-type>    javax.enterprise.concurrent.ManagedExecutorService  </resource-env-ref-type><resource-env-ref> and available as: @Resource(name="concurrent/timedExecutor")ManagedExecutorService executor; And then the tasks are submitted using submit, invokeXXX or scheduleXXX methods. • Get to know what HTML-button is clicked with PHP, no Name of value available

  I have a wizard with 4 steps and in one of the steps, you can add items. By default, there are 3 time 5 empty input-fields listed. When you click a button, there have to be added some more. The 3 times 5 fields are added by a loop. How can I determine where I have to add some fields (in the first 5 field of the second or the third). I can't use another name for every button, because sometimes there can be more then 3 groups of 5 fields. In my code (PHP), I use the name of the button to know what happened in the form, so the name can't be different for the button in every group ... Further, the whole step is 1 form, so the post can't go to another script ... The value of the button has to be the same for every group. I've been thinking on possible solutions and these came up: On click a javascript adds a value to the post (in a hidden field?) But is this posted with the form? Could it be possible to get the ID of the clicked button? This might be different :-) I need a refresh after the click, so pure javascript isn't a solution either ... It is a very specific question, but I hope someone can give me some direction.   I am trying to submit a request for an SSL certificate on a Domain Controller in order to enable LDAP SSL, and having no end of problems. I am following the information provided at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;321051 & http://adldap.sourceforge.net/wiki/doku.php?id=ldap_over_ssl Steps taken so far: Create Servername.inf with the following information ;----------------- request.inf ----------------- [Version] Signature="$Windows NT$ [NewRequest] Subject = "CN=servername.domain.loc" ; replace with the FQDN of the DC KeySpec = 1 KeyLength = 1024 ; Can be 1024, 2048, 4096, 8192, or 16384. ; Larger key sizes are more secure, but have ; a greater impact on performance. Modify the Domain Controller Template to supply Subject Name in Request restart Certificate Service, include SAN in Request, same error. 2. Re-installed Certificate Services / IIS / Restarted machine countless times Any help resolving the issue would be greatly appreciated.

  Please check out the comment field at the bottom on http://tinyurl.com/3xow97t in Firefox - it works pretty well - the red warning gets added if empty and the submit gets disabled - once there is text inside, the submit gets re-enabled. the problem i have now, it does not work in IE. i really hope somebody can help. the iframe contents checks are inside: modules/editor/scripts/global.js

  Hello, I'm using a rich text editor in my asp.net mvc form (nicedit with a textarea) and when I submit the form on post, because it is not html encoded I get the following message: "A potentially dangerous Request.Form value was detected from the client" . How can I html encode the textarea on post ? I don't want to cancel the validation. Is there a way to use the html.encode helper on submit? Thank you.
