    Are there any ad networks that give publishers/websites the ability to display adverts that are chosen by the publisher immediately on page load. Lets say the page loads, and a script inserts certain key words that the ad network uses to search their inventory of adverts and assigns the nearest one with matching tags to the publisher advert area? I know Google's adsense and many other similar services index/reads the pages content and then assign certain advert depending on the content with little or no control by the publisher... Any help is appreciated.

  • Ubuntu 12.04 tilts when trying to open large excel file with libreoffice or matlab

    I have an xlsx-file of size 27.3MB and when I try to open it either in Libreoffice or Matlab the whole system slows down My processor is AMD Sempron(tm) 140 Processor (should be about 2.7Ghz) Memory I have about 1.7GB Any ideas? I opened this file in Windows no problem...of course it took a few seconds to load but Ubuntu freezes with this file completely...smaller files of size 3MB, 5MB etc open just fine... thnx for support =)

  • Why can any user read the content in my homedir?

    Why is it that the default setting makes it possible for user A to look in the homedir of user B and vice versa? And furthermore..that user can not only look into the homedir of another user, he can also open any document he wants to. It feels very insecure to me. There should be more privacy for users. I know how to prevent this situation, but it puzzles me why this should be possible in the first place.

  • 'mount: error while loading shared libraries: libudev.so.0 : no such file or directory' error while booting

    I was trying to load a version of CGminer which was returning a libudev type error, and followed a supposed solution here but it destroyed my system (so it seems). I loaded the system in recovery mode from GRUB but all that done was actually tell me what I something is broken, do not know what to do next. I think I somehow associated a libudev.so.0 to 1 or 1 to 0, I am not sure what I did and how to fix it.

    I want to assign some shortcuts to menu actions in Nautilus 3.2.1 running under Ubuntu 11.10. I followed the steps shown here How do you create a "new document" keyboard shortcut? but it did not work for me. Switched to gnome classic so I can get the normal menu, hovered over the desired action pressed the desired keys but nothing happened (restarted nautilus, re-logged and nothing). Any suggestions or ideas on how to assign custom shortcuts to actions in Nautilus 3

I tried to add a player class to the existing code, but if the player moves, then the camera isn't pointing at the player. The player leaves the camera viewport after a few seconds. How should I add the character and the enemies to the game? Should I create a layer for the character and the enemies?     I have been trying to resolve my issue of spiking cpu caused by php-fpm processes. I've reduced the php-fpm config settings to: pm = ondemand pm.max_children = 12 pm.start_servers = 2 pm.min_spare_servers = 2 pm.max_spare_servers = 10 pm.max_requests = 500 php_admin_value[memory_limit] = 128M Problem still exists. I'm running a Joomla main site (which is having no problems) and a Magento store in a sub-directory. My server is a Linux CentOS, running NGINX, APC, Memcached, Full Page Cache and php-fpm. My server has 8 cores and 16gb dedicated ram. My host has shut down my server several times the past week because my php-fpm processes are consuming the entire network. A lot of the individual php-fpm processes are getting over 50% cpu. I've hired several "professionals" and none of them was able to help me, so now broke and stumped, I'm turning to you guys for help. So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. the server is not using much memory: Mem: 16777216k total, 1204040k used, 15573176k free My.conf settings: query_cache_size = 128M innodb_buffer_pool_size = 512M open-files-limit = 8192 table_cache=4096 I just noticed that someone changed my innodb_buffer_pool_size to 512M. Shouldn't this be set to 80% of available ram? So I have 16gb ram so it should be set at 12G; however, I set it at 10G. What do you think? I made that change and restart everything. Php-fpm is still spiking cpu. Here is just 1 php-fpm process: 23942 user 17 0 507m 99m 27m R 90.9%CPU 0.6 0:03.46 php-fpm I'm sure there may be more information you will need to help, so just let me know what you guys need to help me figure this out.   • Apache - child process exited with status 255

    I am running Windows 7 64-bit with an older version of (Apache 2.0.59) and PHP 5.2 - just switched from XP and wanted to keep the same versions. Everything will initially be working fine, but then I'll be trying to load a page and Apache crashes. I'll get an error in the browser that says "The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading." Then Apache stops running. Sometimes it can be restarted, but then crashes again on the next page load. Sometimes it can't even be restarted at all. Looking in the Apache error logs, I see a series of messages that goes something like: [notice] Apache/2.0.59 (Win32) PHP/5.2.13 configured -- resuming normal operations [notice] Server built: Jul 27 2006 15:55:03 [notice] Parent: Created child process 1220 [notice] Child 1220: Child process is running [notice] Child 1220: Acquired the start mutex. [notice] Child 1220: Starting 250 worker threads. [notice] Parent: child process exited with status 255 -- Restarting. I have just come from Win XP where I never had any problems - is this an issue with my Apache version on Win7? Or perhaps it's a configuration issue?   • Mounting an Azure blob container in a Linux VM Role

    I previously asked a question about this topic but now I prefer to rewrite it from scratch because I was very confused back then. I currently have a Linux XS VM Role in Azure. I basically want to create a self-managed and evoluted hosting service using VMs rather than Azure's more-expensive Web Roles. I also want to take advantage of load balancing (between VM Roles) and geo-replication (of Storage Roles), making sure that the "web files" of customers are located in a defined and manageable place. One way I found to "mount" a drive in Linux VM is described here and involves mounting a VHD onto the virtual machine. From what I could learn, the VHD is reliably-stored in a storage role, and is exclusively locked by the VM that uses it. Once the VM Role has its drive I can format the partition to any size I want. I don't want that!! I would like each hosted site to have its own blob directory, then each replicated/load-balanced VM Role to rw mount like in NFS that blob directory to read HTML and script files. The database is obviously courtesy of Microsoft :) My question is Is it possible to actually mount a blob storage into a directory in the Linux FS? Is it possible in Windows Server 2008?

    Does anyone know how to use Nortel Netdirect (Version 7.1.3.0) with Windows 7 64 bit (Home Premium)? There are several ways available to me for connecting, all of which work for me on a 32-bit XP machine: Nortel Contivity VPN client (v6_02.022). The installer appears to be 16-bit, so I can't even install it on a 64-bit machine. Web-based SSL via IE Web-based SSL via Firefox The Web-based SSL process is supposed to load Netdirect and start it up, establishing the VPN connection. Using Firefox, I'm able to authenticate with my smartcard, but when it tries to download the applet, the process stops with a message box saying that it couldn't download the zip file. If I run Firefox in Vista compatibility mode, it gets a little farther, and manages to start Netdirect, but then exits after notifying me that the netdirect adapter was not installed.
