For convenience I use collect on a collection to gather them together. arr = collection.collect {|item| item.get_array_of_arrays} Now I would like to have a single array that contains all the arrays. Of course I can loop over the array and use the + operator to do that. newarr = [] arr.each {|item| newarr += item} But this is kind of ugly, is there a better way?

  I'm considering picking up some very rudimentary understanding of assembly. My current goal is simple: VERY BASIC understanding of GCC assembler output when compiling C/C++ with the -S switch. Just enough to do simple things such as looking at a single function and verifying whether GCC optimizes away things I expect to disappear. Does anyone have/know of a truly concise introduction to assembly, relevant to GCC and specifically for the purpose of reading, and a list of the most important instructions anyone casually reading assembly should know?

  I want to make 10 asynchronous http requests at once and only process the results when all have completed and in a single callback function. I also do not want to block any threads using WaitAll (it is my understanding that WaitAll blocks until all are complete).   When I'm designing multiple views under the MVVM pattern, does each view get its own ViewModel or do they all share the same one? I understand that this is ultimately a flexible decision, but what is the best practice? My gut tells me to have a ViewModel for each view (i.e. each separate UI window). All of the blog examples of MVVM show a single view but not much beyond that.

  i'm building an Android App that has many many TextView that i want to be clickable. I've tried to assign to the single TextView the properties android:clickable="true" and android:onClick="clickHandler" and when the app fires the clickHandler(View v) i correctly get, through the v.getId(), the clicked item. What i don't like is to define, for every TextView, the properties android:clickable and android:onClick ... is there something that i can do by code to say: "all the textviews are clickable and click is handled in 'clickHandler' ?"
