• Qt send signal to main application window

  I need a QDialog to send a signal to redraw the main window. But connect needs an object to connect to. So I must create each dialog with new and explicitly put a connect() every time. What I really need is a way of just sending MainWindow::Redraw() from inside any function and having a single connect() inside Mainwindow to receive them. But you can't make a signal static and dialogs obviously don't inherit from MainWindow.

  Under the /usr/include directory in Linux i entered the command: find -type f -name unistd.h which gave the following output: ./unistd.h ./linux/unistd.h ./asm-generic/unistd.h ./bits/unistd.h ./asm/unistd.h ./sys/unistd.h my question is, what is the purpose of each unistd.h, since there is only one definiton of that file in the single unix specification ? Hadoop stores distributes blocks of a file on different hosts. But as deserialization will require the all the blocks to be present on single host, its gonna hit the performance drastically. Could this possibly be because I did not specify the number of headers? This would naturally be a single header for every letter in the alphabet.

It behaves as though it's single threaded, and occasionally causes timeout errors when loading JavaScript AMD modules using RequireJS. It can take five to ten seconds to load a simple page with no images. What's a faster alternative that is just as convenient?

I am using a single directory for HTTP and HTTPS content. I would not want to force HTTPS either. How can I fix this?
