  • Using custom FaultContract object causes 'Add Service Reference' to fail

    - by SpoBo
    Hey, I just noticed something particular. I have an internal stock service which is published through basicHttpBinding, and a customBinding (http+binary) for which metadata is enabled. I also included a mex endpoint for http. We use Visual Studio 2008 & VB.NET Just recently we noticed that we were unable to succesfully add a service reference to this service in our other projects. All that it would generate was the first custom exception we included through a FaultContract (actually, there was only 1 type). if I'd add a simple web reference it would work correctly as well. Also, the WcfClient.exe had no problems either in loading the services. Just VS.NET add service reference wouldn't work. In the service this exception inherits from Exception and is marked as serializable. That's all you're supposed to do, no? Anyway, this had me baffled. If I remove the FaultContract for this custom exception everything works fine. I can add a service reference, no problem. But is there a way I can still have my custom exceptions? Is this a known problem? Thx!

  • insert a date in mysql database

    - by kawtousse
    I use a jquery datepicker then i read it in my servlet like that: String dateimput=request.getParameter("datepicker");//1 then parse it like that: System.out.println("datepicker:" +dateimput); DateFormat df = new SimpleDateFormat("MM/dd/yyyy"); java.util.Date dt = null; try { dt = df.parse(dateimput); System.out.println("date imput parssé1 est:" +dt); System.out.println("date imput parsée2 est:" +df.format(dt)); } catch (ParseException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } and insert query like that: String query = "Insert into dailytimesheet(trackingDate,activity,projectCode) values ("+df.format(dt)+", \""+activity+"\" ,\""+projet+"\")"; it pass successfully untill now but if i check the record inserted i found the date: 01/01/0001 00:00:00 l've tried to fix it but it still a mess for me.

  • Cast Object to JTable?

    - by Chris
    I am trying to implement a ListSelectionListener for some of my JTables. Simply (at the moment) the ListSelectionListener is supposed to simply return the text of the cell that was selected. My program design has several JTables and I would like to have one ListSelectionListener work for them all. In the valueChanged event of the ListSelectionListener I thought it was possible to do something like: private class SelectionHandler implements ListSelectionListener { public void valueChanged(ListSelectionEvent e) { JTable table = (JTable)e.getSource(); String data = (String) table.getValueAt(table.getSelectedRow(), 0); // Print data } } But when I do this I a ClassCastException error. Is there a way to do something like this? One solution I thought of was to compare the source of the event (e.getSource()) to all my JTables to see if they were equivalent (big if block) and then just calling .getValueAt inside that block but that would making the code in the future difficult if tables were to be added or removed.

  • Highlight all occurrences of a selected object with ReSharper

    - by Luís Custódio
    I was used to use RockScroll (or MetalScroll), but when I started to use ReSharper my RockScroll start to show some bugs. Well, this is scope to another discussion http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1089493/is-rockscroll-compatible-with-resharper. But my problem is related, because now without MetalScroll I can't highlight all occurrences, what I consider very useful in many situations. Someone have another plugin for VS2010 or for ReSharper that do the same or better?

  • How to put PrintWriter object content in to table cell

    - by user3599482

In javascript I am calling servlet method using post, it returns some content and I have to put it in two different <td> cells. here is my code, In javascript, $.post('<%=request.getContextPath()%>/controller/UserLockController',{'userName':userName,'status':status}, function(data) { document.getElementById("status_"+userName).innerHTML=data; document.getElementById("td_"+userName).innerHTML=data; }); in servlet it writes as, out.println("<td id=\"status_"+inputParam+"\">Locked</td>"); out.println("<td id=\"td_"+inputParam+"\"><a href=\"#\" class=\"btn btn-sm btn-primary unlockBtn\" id=\"togBtn_"+inputParam+"\" onClick=\"LockAccount('"+inputParam+"','"+status+"')\">UnLock</td>"); Here content is returning but problem is the both <td> return from servlet will fit in single cell of html table. how to solve this please help me.

  • How to duplicate INSERTS into a seperate table?

    - by Ash
    An iPhone application I have installed uses an SQLite database to log entries with basic INSERTS and DELETES being performed on it. However I wish to keep a permanent log of the INSERTS made to this table, so when an INSERT occurs, I want it to be written to another table also as to create a log. I don't have access to the application source code in order to modify the SQL statements made, I do have access to the SQLite database. Can I do this with triggers? If so can somebody provide a short example.

  • Have an object fade in and out of existance

    - by happyCoding25
    Hello, I have a view that sets its hidden when the user taps the main view. I need the view to fade in and out of existence so it looks smoother than just disappearing. Heres my code so far (It's inside a touches event): if (!isShowing) { isShowing = YES; myView.hidden = YES; //Needs to fade out here } else { isShowing = NO; myView.hidden = NO; //Needs to fade in here }

  • Initialize generic object from a System.Type

    - by CaptnCraig
    I need to create a generic type, but I do not know the type at compile time. I would like to do this: Type t = typeof(whatever); var list = new List<t> this won't compile, because t is not a valid type. But it does know all about a valid type. Is there a way to dynamically create the generic list from a System.Type like this? I may need reflection, and that's ok, I am just a bit lost here.

  • Serialization of an object and its Contained Objects

    - by Amit
    There is a main class having 2 subClasses(each represent separate entity) and all classes needs to be serialized.. how should I proceed ? My requirement is when I serelize MainClass, I should get the xml for each sub class and main class as well. Thanks in advance... and if my approach is incorrect... correct that as well.. Ex given below... class MainClass { SubClass1 objSubclass1 = null; SubClass2 objSubclass2 = null; public MainClass() { objSubclass1 = new SubClass1(); objSubclass2 = new SubClass2(); } [XmlElement("SubClass1")] public SubClass1 SubClass1 {get {return objSubclass1;} } [XmlElement("SubClass2")] public SubClass2 SubClass2 {get {return objSubclass2;} } } Class SubClass1 { Some properties here... } Class SubClass2 { Some properties here... }

  • .NET/C# Drizzle database client

    - by FlappySocks
    I am planning to use Drizzle in my next C# Mono app. Since there is no C# client available for Drizzle, I thought I would have a stab at writing my own by converting the Java client, and then making it work with DBLinq. Having seen the Java client, I realise that it's a longer job that I had anticipated, and I don't have the time. Besides the Java client is not all that mature yet. Since there is an official Drizzle C client library (libdrizzle), writing a C# wrapper might be the best solution. Are there any tools available that can assist in generating the code for this?

  • Generate encoding String according to creation order.

    - by Tony
    I need to generate encoding String for each item I inserted into the database. for example: x00001 for the first item x00002 for the sencond item x00003 for the third item The way I chose to do this is counting the rows. Before I insert the third item, I count against the database, I know there're already 2 rows, so the next encoding is ended with 3. But there is a problem. If I delete the second item, the forth item will not be the x00004,but x00003. I can add additional columns to table, to store the next encoding, I don't know if there's other better solutions ?

  • SQL query for an access database needed

    - by masfenix
    Hey guys, first off all sorry, i can't login using my yahoo provider. anyways I have this problem. Let me explain it to you, and then I'll show you a picture. I have a access db table. It has 'report id', 'recpient id', and 'recipient name' and 'report req'. What the table "means" is that do the user using that report still require it or can we decommission it. Here is how the data looks like (blocked out company userids and usernames): *check the link below, I cant post pictures cuz yahoo open id provider isnt working. So basically I need to have 3 select queries: 1) Select all the reports where for each report, ALL the users have said no to 'reportreq'. In plain English, i want a listing of all the reports that we have to decommission because no user wants it. 2) Select all the reports where the report is required, and the batchprintcopy is more then 0. This way we can see which report needs to be printed and save paper instead of printing all the reports. 3)A listing of all the reports where the reportreq field is empty. I think i can figure this one out myself. This is using Access/VBA and the data will be exported to an excel spreadsheet. I just a simple query if it exists, OR an alogorithm to do it quickly. I just tried making a "matrix" and it took about 2 hours to populate. https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0B2EMqbpeBpQkMTIyMzA5ZjMtMGQ3Zi00NzRmLWEyMDAtODcxYWM0ZTFmMDFk&hl=en_US

  • WPF Binding not updating when binded object is updated

    - by Chris Klepeis
    I'm trying to bind to a custom control like so: <my:GanttChartTaskListView Name="ganttChartTaskListView1" ItemsSource="{Binding Source={x:Static local:TaskCollection.taskList}}" /> In my WPF Window constructor I add add an item to my taskList, when it loads I can see that item in my custom control, however, when I subsequently add items it does not update. I tried setting Mode=TwoWay, however, then it says the "Path" is required and I'm not familiar with binding like that (this is new to me). Here is my TaskCollection class: namespace ProjectManager { public static class TaskCollection { private static List<TaskItem> _taskList = new List<TaskItem>(); public static List<TaskItem> taskList { get {return _taskList; } set { _taskList = value; } } } } Any ideas? Is there a better / easier way to do this?

  • ldd output showing shared object file whose function is not called

    - by iamrohitbanga
    I ran ldd command on an executable created by Open MPI. It shows a reference to libpthread.so Using LD_PRELOAD variable I created my own implementation of pthread_create, but from the it output it seems that MPI implementation is not calling pthread_create as I had expected. Why does ldd show pthread so file in output if it is not being used? does Open MPI not use a separate MPI thread for every node to implement the functionality?

    I have a list of fixtures.Each fixture has a home club and a away club attribute.I want to slice the list in association of its home club and away club.The sliced list should be of homeclub items and awayclub items. Easier way to implement this is to first slice a list of fixtures.Then make a new list of the corresponding Home Clubs and Away Clubs.I wanted to know if we can do this one step.

  • Using an IN clause in Vb.net to save something to the database using SQL

    - by Rob
    I have a textbox and a button on a form. I wish to run a query (in Vb.Net) that will produce a query with the IN Values. Below is an example of my code myConnection = New SqlConnection("Data Source=sqldb\;Initial Catalog=Rec;Integrated Security=True") myConnection.Open() myCommand = New SqlCommand("UPDATE dbo.Recordings SET Status = 0 where RecID in ('" & txtRecID.Text & "') ", myConnection) ra = myCommand.ExecuteNonQuery() myConnection.Close() MsgBox("Done!", _ MsgBoxStyle.Information, "Done") When I enter a single value it works but when I enter values with commas it throws an error: "Conversion failed when converting the varchar value '1234,4567' to data type int." Could someone please help me to solve this or if there is an alternative way? Many Thanks

  • Creating an object in the loop

    - by Jacob
    std::vector<double> C(4); for(int i = 0; i < 1000;++i) for(int j = 0; j < 2000; ++j) { C[0] = 1.0; C[1] = 1.0; C[2] = 1.0; C[3] = 1.0; } is much faster than for(int i = 0; i < 1000;++i) for(int j = 0; j < 2000; ++j) { std::vector<double> C(4); C[0] = 1.0; C[1] = 1.0; C[2] = 1.0; C[3] = 1.0; } I realize this happens because std::vector is repeatedly being created and instantiated in the loop, but I was under the impression this would be optimized away. Is it completely wrong to keep variables local in a loop whenever possible? I was under the (perhaps false) impression that this would provide optimization opportunities for the compiler. EDIT: I use VC++2005 (release mode) with full optimization (/Ox)
