Parsing error when using getSearchResultsForQuery of MGTwitterEngine

Firefox innerHTML Bug?

I have a simple piece of HTML <p id="skills">Skills</p> in Firefox 3.6.3 when I call (with JQuery): $("#skills")[0].innerHTML = "some new text" Firefox renders it as <p id="skills"><a xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">some new text</a></p> Where in the world is that link coming from?? (note the same thing happens by calling $("#skills").html("some new text") with JQuery)

UpdatePanel doesn't do partial-page update, and IsInAsyncPostBack is always false

I'm attempting to use an UpdatePanel, but can't get partial-page updates to work. When I look at the ScriptManager's IsInAsyncPostBack property, it's always false. Here's a page that reproduces the issue. PhantomJS not exactly rendering HTML to PNG

I'm having trouble adjusting PhantomJS to create a PNG file that matches the original browser presentation. Here is the entire sample html file. It's a sankey diagram creating using rCharts and d3-sankey. (You'll need to save the file to your hard drive and view it from there.) I'm running on Windows and using rasterize.js: >> phantomjs.exe rasterize.js test.html test.png ISSUE: Below is a snip of one of the text strings when viewed in a browser: And here is a snip of the same string from the PNG created by PhantomJS: How do I make the text-shadow go away? I've played around with various CSS attributes (text-shadow) and webkit-specific attributes (e.g., -webkit-text-rendering), but can't seem to make it go away. Is this a setting in PhantomJS? in the underlying webkit? or somewhere else? Many thanks!

jQuery to populate form fields based on first entered value where number of fields is unknown

Greetings, I have a form with a variable number of inputs, a simplified version of which looks like this: <form> <label for="same">all the same as first?</label> <input id="same" name="same" type="checkbox" /> <input type="text" id="foo[1]" name="foo[1]" value="" /> <input type="text" id="foo[2]" name="foo[2]" value="" /> <input type="text" id="foo[3]" name="foo[3]" value="" /> <input type="text" id="foo[4]" name="foo[4]" value="" /> <input type="text" id="foo[5]" name="foo[5]" value="" /> </form> The idea is to tick the #same checkbox and have jQuery copy the value from #foo[1] into #foo[2], #foo[3], etc. They also need to clear if #same is unchecked. There can be any number of #foo inputs, based upon input from a previous stage of the form, and this bit is giving me trouble. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious, but I can't get any variation on $('#dest').val($('#source').val()); to work. Help!

Render SVG font in Adobe Illistrator or Corel Draw

Hello! I'm developing a project that produces SVG files with custom embed fonts. SVG font definition I compose as SVG font tag with help of http://www.fontsquirrel.com/fontface/generator or Batik SVG Toolkit. The resulted SVG file I try to open in following applications: Adobe Illustrator CS4 - text has default font and message noticed about font not found in system CorelDRAW X5 - text has default font and any messages don't noticed Batik SVG Browser (Squiggle) - renders text correctly The problem is all modern typographies use CorelDRAW and Abode Illustrator for print vector graphic and them render not correctly SVG. Solution As for me, I see follow solutions: Save the text with custom font as SVG path. This will work but, I can't find any solution that can convert text + TTF to SVG path data; Use other vector format, f.e. AI, EPS or CDR. This solution is difficult for me, because I use SVG paths as part of input data; Recommend our users to use Batik SVG Browser (Squiggle) or any other application which are based on Batik SVG Toolkit library. Batik SVG Toolkit requires Java runtime :( If anyone know some knowledge to open SVG embed fonts in Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW please share them. I would be grateful for any help. However, when I pass an object to the value property for 'Element' I get this error: Class ClassName has no such attribute: text in template context [Article article/element elseif(it.is_type2)_subtemplate article/type2] So - my question is, how do i access the properties/fields of an object, within an object using StringTemplate?

Parsing XML with jQuery... problem retrieving elements

An XML snippet: <results> <review> <api_detail_url>http://api.giantbomb.com/review/1/</api_detail_url> <game> <api_detail_url>http://api.giantbomb.com/game/20462/</api_detail_url> <id>20462</id> <name>SingStar</name> </game> <score>4</score> </review> </results> And here's my testing code, just to show whether data is being collected or not ('data' holds the XML): var element; $(data).find('review').each(function() { element = $(this).find('name').text(); }); alert(element); Now here's the problem, only this query actually returns data: $(this).find('score').text(); The alert box in this case would pop up with '4'. These two other queries don't return anything (the alert box is blank): $(this).find('api_detail_url').text(); $(this).find('name').text(); I've tried using jQuery selectors, like... $(this).find('game > name').text(); ...but that doesn't work, either, still get a blank alert box. Am I missing something? Testing is being done in Chrome.

How to only round selected corners in a fancytitle box with Tikz

If you take a look at http://www.texample.net/tikz/examples/boxes-with-text-and-math/ the boxes there are with rounded corners. In the examples, both the box itself and the title is a box. I want the title box to not have the bottom corners rounded. On page 120 in the manual, there is a description of how to draw with and without rounded corners. However, I want to use this in a fancytitle. So if one then of course it goes to case 1. If there are 2 opened then it moves the oldest down and puts the newest on top. etc etc. I have set it so that a max of 6 boxes can only be opened at one time. If anyone knows how i could also "slide" them down (kinda like an effect of jQuery) then that would also be, well awesome to know! :o) Any help/suggestions would be great! :o) David

What's the proper way to setup different objects as delegates using Interface Builder?

Let's say I create a new project. I now add two text fields to the view controller in Interface Builder. I want to respond to delegate events that the text fields create, however, I don't want to have the main view controller to act as the delegate for both text fields. Ideally I want a separate file for each text field that acts as the delegate. Each of these objects also needs to be able to interact with the main view controller. My question is how I would set this up and link everything correctly? I tried creating a new class that inherits from NSObject and implements UITextFieldDelegate. I then added an instance variable called "viewController" of the same type of my view controller and marked it with IBOutlet (this required me to add #import "myViewcontroller.h"). I then went to Interface Builder and opened up my view controller which contains the two edit boxes. I added an NSObject to the form and changed it's type to be of the new class I created. I set its viewController property to the File's Owner, and set one of the textbox's delegate properties to point to this new object I created. Now when I run the program, it crashes when I touch the text box. It gives the error EXC_BAD_ACCESS. I'm guessing I didn't link stuff correctly in IB. Some things I'm not sure about which might be the problem: Does IB automatically know to create an instance of the class just by placing the NSObject in the ViewController? Can it properly assign the viewController property to an instance of itself even though it is creating itself at the same time?

emacs elisp buffer not running font lock mode until opened by user

My problem is I am opening a buffer using (set-buffer (find-tag-noselect (current-word))) and then I try to copy some text out of that buffer. The text that I get back has only the properties (fontified nil). find-tag-noselect automatically opens the buffer found in the TAGS file but it seems it does not run the font lock mode over it. When I manually switch to this buffer after it has been opened and then run the function again when it copies the text it has all the correct text properties attached. So what do I need to do to have this buffer completely initialized so that the correct syntax highlighting will be copied in?

I'm submitting to a rails webservice the following message: xmlPostData = "<message> <message-text>" + MESSAGE_WITH_XML + "</message-text> <name>" + subject + "</name> <f1>" + toPhone + "</f1> <f2>" + fromPhone + "</f2> </message>"; The problem is the the field with contain a text with XML data, is a workaround but I need to be able to submit that xml to the db and get it from there. Why is django giving me an attribute error when I call _set.all() for its children models?

(C#, WinForms) How to assign an accessibility attribute to an image in ImageList

Hi all, I'm trying to find a way to make a screen-reader (like JAWS) to read out loud some text that is assigned to images in ImageList. In other controls (like PushButton) there is "AccessibleName" property, that when contains text, it's being read by JAWS. the ImageList consists of four icons that represent priorities, and no text is displayed near them. Is it possible to do it? Can you think of any other creative solution? Thanks, Yaniv.

problem with nginx reverse proxy to apache2

I am trying to setup a reverse proxy system where nginx sits at the front handling all the requests from the internet and apache2 sits at the back handling all the dynamic content. I can setup virtualhost in nginx based on my domains, but because apache2 is listening only on 127.0.0.1:8080 (not outside facing), i'd like to still have virtualhost based on domain (or whatever can be passed from nginx to apache) and change the dynamic content based on it. Basically, I have a nginx config in sites_available and sites_enabled that basically says for location /{proxy_pass http://127.0.0.1:8080/;}. So currently i don't think there is any way of detecting which domain we have on the outside for apache. I am almost exactly following this guide to set it up: http://tumblr.intranation.com/post/766288369/using-nginx-reverse-proxy So code and others are almost the same. Any one have any ideas? Jason

C# Delegate Invoke Required Issue

Scenario I have a C# windows forms application that has a number of processes. These processes run on separate threads and all communicate back to the Main Form class with updates to a log window and a progress bar. I'm using the following code below, which up until now has worked fine, however, I have a few questions. Occasionally I get OutofMemory Exceptions and the program always seems to crash around this bit of code......

Is there a way to make a Google Web Toolkit (GWT) Button look like a HTML Hyperlink?

I plan on appending some comments onto a text, to do that, first, I need the concerned text to act like a button for me to launch a popup, which in turn shows the comment. For that to happen, I need to make that concerned text to act like a button in GWT, but due to some aesthetic reasons I don't want it to look like a normal GWT Button, instead, I prefer it to look like any normal HTML hyper-link, which upon clicking it, acts exactly like a GWT Button which in turn showing the comment in the pop up. So is there a way to make a GWT Button appear more like a html hyper-link? Or, at the minimum, would it be possible to convert the concerned text to .JPG for it to be inserted into a Image Button in GWT?

LaTeX beamer free-flowing two column?

So in standard LaTeX, there is \twocolumn, where I can just type text, and it'll go down the left side of the page, then continue at the top of the right side of the page. Now, I know that inside of a Beamer frame, I can manually create two columns, of various width, with text in them -- however, is there a way to have the text freely flow from one column to the next? [I.e. I want to say "this text goes in these two columns; and have beamer figure out which goes into which column]. Thanks!
