  • Missing ant-javamail.jar file on Macintosh

    I've been running the built-in Ant from the command line on a Macintosh (10.5.5) and have run into some trouble with the Mail task. Running the Mail task produces the following message: [mail] Failed to initialise MIME mail: org.apache.tools.ant.taskdefs.email.MimeMailer This is most likely due to a missing ant-javamail.jar file in the /usr/share/ant/lib directory. I see a "ant-javamail-1.7.0.pom" file in this directory but not the appropriate jar file. Anyone know why this jar file might be missing and what the best way to resolve the problem is?

  • HTML encode UTF-8 string gets mangled into latin1

    I'm parsing my nginx logs, and I want to discover some details from the HTTP_REFERER string, for example, the query string used to find the web site. One user typed in "México" which gets encoded in the log as "query=M%E9xico". Passing this through Rack::Utils.parse_query('query=M%E9xico') you get a hash, {"query" = "M?xico"} When you to stuff "M?exico" into Postgres (but not the more forgiving SQLite), it pukes because the string isn't proper UTF-8. Looking at http://rack.rubyforge.org/doc/Rack/Utils.html#M000324, unescape is packing a hex string. How can I convert the string back to UTF-8, or can I get parse_query to return UTF-8 in the first place.

So my (prepared) statement looks like this: MERGE INTO table USING (VALUES(CAST(? AS VARCHAR(36)))) AS v(x) ON ID_MAP.UUID = v.x WHEN NOT MATCHED THEN INSERT VALUES v.x When I execute the statement (setting the placeholder correctly), I always get a Caused by: org.hsqldb.HsqlException: row column count mismatch Could you please give me a hint, what is going wrong here?   • CSS height problem. IE8 seems correct Firefox seems wrong. Any fix?

    Below is a complete html page that shows the problem. The "myDiv" should be 22px in height (including the border). Item 1 should have a 1px space between its border and the divs border. In IE8 it is. In FF 3.6.2 though it is 24px and I can't understand why. Ultimately my goal is to get the same CSS to create the same result in both browsers. It's driving me crazy!     Hi all, I'm searching free tools for monitor tomcat (traffic, memory usage, threads, requests, CPU, logs,...). I'm currently using lambdaprobe on Tomcat 5.5.x, but it seems that is no more developed (or not? the site lambdaprobe.org is always down for me...). Has someone good experiences to share? In lambdaprobe there are some info available only if tomcat is instrumented with JMX. Well, JMX is something of strange and mysterious for me. Is a good solution in a production server? It's worth to spend my (little) time to learn it?

  • CSS Files Don't Refresh with Wicket (Launched in Intellij via Start.java)

    I have create a skeleton Wicket project using mvn archetype:create -DarchetypeGroupId=org.apache.wicket -DarchetypeArtifactId=wicket-archetype-quickstart -DarchetypeVersion=1.4-rc4 -DgroupId=com.mycompany -DartifactId=myproject All the configuration/importing new project with Maven/Intellij worked fine. I proceeded to add a basic CSS file to my start page, per the following recommended way of doing it in Wicket 1.4 public class BasePage extends WebPage { public BasePage() { add(CSSPackageResource.getHeaderContribution(BasePage.class, "main.css")); } } The main.css file has been put along side BasePage.java and BasePage.html in /src/main/java. I launch the application with Start.java. The problem is when I make changes to the CSS file it is not being picked up when I relaunch Start.java. (Changes to the java and html files are being updated when I change them) I made sure the browser cache was being cleared, and even valided the request/response in Firfox/Firebug. It seems like somewhere between Wicket's magic and the jetty instance Start.java creates the CSS file is being cached and not updated. Any ideas?

    I've just been playing with Scala, and installed the Eclipse plugin as described at http://www.scala-lang.org/node/94, but after entering the "Hello World" test example and setting up the run configuration as described, I get the following error Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: main For reference the code is package hello object HelloWorld extends Application { println("Hello World!") } I've tinkered a bit with the obvious solutions (adding a main method, adding a singleton object with a main method) but I'm clearly doing something wrong. Can anyone get their test example to work, or point out what I am doing wrong?

    I have an OpenID relying party setup and using XRDS. It passes the "RP has discoverable return_to" interop test over at http://test-id.org/RP/DiscoverableReturnTo.aspx. Yahoo no longer complains with the message "Warning: This website has not confirmed its identity with Yahoo! and might be fraudulent." as outlined in Andrew Arnott's excellent blog post: http://blog.nerdbank.net/2008/06/why-yahoo-says-your-openid-site.html However, when I try to authenticate using AOL I see the "Warning! site verification could not be completed." message.

  • Setting session timezone with spring jdbc oracle

    Hello I have a spring/jdbc/oracle 10g application. The Oracle server database timezone is set to GMT + 2 JVM timezone is GMT + 2 (even though it doesn't matter in my case). I have a stored procedure that performs some date operations. The problem is that session timezone is different(GMT) than database timezone even though I do not set session timezone explicit in my code/configuration. As far as I know the session timezone is by default equal to database timezone. Any idea why is the session timezone different than database timezone or how can I configure it in spring configuration (org.apache.commons.dbcp.BasicDataSource) ? Thank you.

    does anyone have a good definition for what a binary protocol is? and what is a text protocol actually? how do these compare to each other in terms of bits sent on the wire? here's what wikipedia says about binary protocols: A binary protocol is a protocol which is intended or expected to be read by a machine rather than a human being (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binary_protocol) oh come on! to be more clear, if I have jpg file how would that be sent through a binary protocol and how through a text one? in terms of bits/bytes sent on the wire of course. at the end of the day if you look at a string it is itself an array of bytes so the distinction between the 2 protocols should rest on what actual data is being sent on the wire. in other words, on how the initial data (jpg file) is encoded before being sent. any coments are apprecited, I am trying to get to the essence of things here. salutations!

    I'm trying to integrate a rails 3 app with jasper following this wiki: http://wiki.rubyonrails.org/rails/pages/HowtoIntegrateJasperReports But it seems that a lot of information isn't updated so it's been very hard to make it work by myself. I've also read a topic at ruby-forum: http://www.ruby-forum.com/topic/139453 with some details explained but still couldn't make it work. My first problem is related with the render_to_string method: When the controller method runs I receive a "Template is missing" error: this is the method: def report @customers = Customer.all send_doc(render_to_string(:template => report_customers_path, :layout => false), '/pdfs', 'report.jasper', "customers", 'pdf') end Although this seems simple I'm not understanding why is this happening. Doesn't render_to_string with layout = false suposed to get me the string result of that action? I also tried :action instead of :template, but it does the same.   • mysql.sock doesn't get installed after mysql installation on snow leopard

    This is a recent problem... MySQL was working and a couple of days ago I must have done something. I deleted MySQL and tried reinstalling using the .dmg file. The mysql.sock file never gets created and I get the following error messages: Hristo$ mysql Enter password: ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) I also tried stopping Apache and installing but Apache gave me an error... I don't know if this is good or bad: Hristo$ sudo apachectl stop launchctl: Error unloading: org.apache.httpd I tried the MacPorts installation as well but the socket file still didn't get created. I don't really know what to do and I don't want to reinstall Snow Leopard and start from scratch :/ Any ideas? Thanks, Hristo

    I'm trying to create the pom for an existing grails project via: mvn grails:create-pom -Dourcompany.com Now, we have our maven repository available in a local nexus repo: http://ourcompany.com/nexus But when i run the above, i get the below error Downloading: http://ourcompany.com/nexus/content/groups/public/ourcompany/com/hibernate-core/3.3.1.GA/hibernate-core-3.3.1.GA.jar [INFO] Unable to find resource 'ourcompany.com:hibernate-core:jar:3.3.1.GA' in repository central (http://repo1.maven.org/maven2) [INFO] ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [ERROR] BUILD ERROR But it is in there at simply: http://ourcompany.com/nexus/content/groups/public/hibernate-core/3.3.1.GA/hibernate-core-3.3.1.GA.jar Ie, w/o the "ourcompany.com" path. From my perspective, it should just try to pull down hibernate w/o inserting the groupId, but maybe i'm not understanding how i'm supposed to run this command?

    My web service is receiving xml from a third party that looks like this: <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"> <SOAP-ENV:Body> &lt;Foo&gt;bar&lt;/Foo&gt; </SOAP-ENV:Body> </SOAP-ENV:Envelope> My jaxws web service rejects this with a parsing error. Also if I try to validate this xml using soapui it says Body with element-only content type cannot have text element. My question is, is that xml valid? Or is the client supposed to send me something without escaping the < and . Any references to xml standards or rules are appreciated.

  • Ubuntu: What gcc to use when crosscompiling for the STM32 (Cortex-M3)?

    Hi I'm trying to get started with the STM32 (Cortex-M3) and my plan is get this working from Ubuntu (9.04 / AMD64). To start with I got the Olimex stm32-h103 header board and the Olimex ARM-USB-OCD jtag, and on to of that I will probably use OpenOCD, gcc and Eclipse. But right now I'm looking into what version of gcc to use and how to setup that to be able to crosscompile the code. There seem to be some arm projects out there but I don't know what to start with, can somebody push me in the right direction? Thanks Johan Update: There seems almost to be what I want from codesourcery, but they seem to focus on IA32 and not AMD64. However in the supported devices I find the Cortex-M3 ARM EABI, ARM M-profile Simulator -mcpu=cortex-m3 -mthumb Update: There is a possibility to install IA32 on AMD64, so maybe the marked answer is obsolete already.     I have a few general questions about the bullet physics library. Here is my current understanding in a nutshell: btDiscreteDynamicsWorld - Simplest physics world, only handles rigid bodies, maybe it has better performance. btSoftRigidDynamicsWorld - The only physics world that can work with large jello moulds btContinuousDynamicsWorld - If you have really fast objects this will prevent them from prenetrating each other or flying through each other, but is otherwise like a btDiscreteDynamicsWorld. Is my understanding of the btDiscreetDynamicsWorld, btContinuousDynamicsWorld and btSoftRigidDynamicsWorld classes in terms of functionality, purpose, and performance correct? Why does the user manual recommend the btDiscreteDynamicsWorld class? btSoftRigidDynamicsWorld appears to be the only world that can handle soft bodies, so what if we wanted Continuous Physics integration and Soft bodies? How fast is fast enough to consider using a btContinuousDynamicsWorld, and what are the drawbacks of using one?   • Connect to SVN repository with Netbeans using SVN+SSH

    Hello all, I am trying to connect to a SVN server in order to import my project into it with svn+ssh authentication method. I am using the NetBeans IDE (6.8) with subversion plugin installed on Windows XP SP2. I have plink installed with its path set in the Windows PATH env variable. When I use the similar looking repository URL (XXXX and YYYY replaced with sensible things) svn+ssh://XXXX@YYYY/home/dce/svn/trunk along with this external tunnel command plink -l <myUserName> -i C:\\privateKey.ppk I keep getting this error: org.tigris.subversion.javahl.ClientException: Network connection closed unexpectedly I searched about it on the Internet and tried many things but didn't work out. Please help if anybody has some idea what may be going wrong. Thanks a lot in advance.
