  Hi All, I ahve created database connection with SQLite using JDBC in java. My sql statements execute properly. But sometimes I get the following error while i use conn.commit() java.sql.SQLException: SQL logic error or missing database Can anyone please help me how to avoid this type of problem.   My app shows a list of items, where each line is an item title with its image asides, the line reserves 70% of space for text and 30% for image. Imagine what iphone app store looks like. Which view/layout combo is recommended for this purpose?   I have a page with 2 (or more) jQuery tabs. Each tab contains a jQuery Cycle slideshow with prev/next paging appended in the code. I've added keyboard navigation of the slideshows, based on a tutorial at jqueryfordesigners dot com. Keyboard nav works for each slideshow but the slides page in synchrony, i.e. if paging to the 3rd slide in tab 1, when tab 2 is viewed it is showing it's 3rd too.   I am working on scheduling the tasks using Quartz API. I tried scheduling notepad.exe and in the logs, I see the following line - org.quartz.jobs.NativeJob runNativeCommand About to runcmd.exe /C c:/WINDOWS/notepad.exe ... But the notepad is not coming up. Same is the issue with any exe or batch file. I also see the notepad.exe as a running process in Task Manager.   Hi, I'm trying to pick up Svn.NET (http://www.pumacode.org/projects/svndotnet/) library for use in my Mono project. I tried compiling its mockapp - svnmockapp project (http://www.pumacode.org/projects/svndotnet/browser/trunk/SvnMockApp) , I am able to get the references right and get it compiled right. I understand that it references 2 other modules libapr (libapr-1.so.0) and svn_client (libsvn_client-1.so.0) , by which I've created PumaCode.SvnDotNet.dll.config in /bin/Debug . That is all I've done to tried to try to get the mockapp at least outputting something to show that it is indeed interfacing SVN. Nevertheless, it is not working.   Hey, I've downloaded the android source code for CallLog, Contacts, Dialing in this link http://android.git.kernel.org/?p=platform/packages/apps/Contacts.git;a=tree But now, when I try to import this package on Eclipse, imports like: com.google, com.android.internal.Telephony, com.android.internal.R, com.google.android.collect, android.provider.ContactsContract.Intents.UI, android.provider.ContactsContract.SearchSnippetColumns, android.provider.ContactsContract.ProviderStatus, android.provider.ContactsContract.ContactCounts, android.content.IContentService, android.provider.ContactsContract.Intents.UI And many other imports, show errors saying it cannot be resolved. So my question is, why it shows this errors? Why I cant implement it without this errors? I use the Google APIs, I've created the project from an existing source code, but I dont know why this happens. Thanks.

• IE6 + IE7 CSS problem with overflow hidden

  So I have created a slider for a homepage, that slides some images with a title and teaser text using jQuery. Everything works fine, and I went to check IE and found that IE 6 and 7 kills my slider css completely. I can't figure out why, but for some reason I can't hide the non active slides with overflow: hidden; I've tried tweaking the css back and forth, but haven't been able to figure out what's causing the problem.   I'm working on a homework assignment to modify code given by my professor using LightWeight Java Game Library. The problem is that I can't fully load the test code to begin testing modifications. I've linked against the jar file as it says to in the modifications, but I still have one lingering error. • JavaEE in netbeans giving BUILD FAILED error upon deployment

• script running very slow in IE with Jquery quickflip plug-in

  I have a jQuery plugin running on my site that is executing very, very slowly in IE7/8 to the point that it throws a slow script warning to the user. It doesn't happen in any other browser, and I can't figure out what might be going on. If you go to this page: http://dev.xeetic.org/projects You'll see that there are 16 results on each page, and each one has a "flip" behavior attached, using the jQuery plugin "quickflip." Attaching this behavior is very slow in IE. If I reduce the result set to 8 or 4 per page, it's faster, but still very bogged down. I have contacted the author of the script with no success. I am willing to pay for a solution, if I'm allowed to offer such a thing on this site.

• Why isn't Google Web Toolkit more popular?

  I've recently become intrigued with Google Web Toolkit and have started playing with it on some personal projects. I've noticed though that it doesn't seem to be very popular. For example, two major freelancing job boards (www.elance.com and www.odesk.com) list no jobs for GWT and the list of projects using it on Google's official site is pretty slim http://code.google.com/webtoolkit/app_gallery.html (compare to Django projects for example http://www.djangosites.org/). This seems odd to me as GWT has been around since 2006 and is supported by the Google brand name. It also neatly solves the problem of creating cross-browser completely dynamic websites that I haven't seen possible with any other tool. So, why the lack of acceptance?

  Background: I am working on a project written in a mix of C and Fortran 77 and now need to link the LAPACK/BLAS libraries to the project (all in a Linux environment). The LAPACK in question is version 3.2.1 (including BLAS) from netlib.org. The libraries were compiled using the top level Makefile (make lapacklib and make blaslib). Problem: During linking, error messages claimed that certain (not all) BLAS-routines called from LAPACK-routines were undefined. This gave me some headache but the problem was eventually solved when (in the Makefile) the order of appearance of the libraries to be linked was changed. Code: In the following, (a) gives errors while (b) does not. The linking is performed by (c). (a) LIBS = $(LAPACK)/blas_LINUX.a $(LAPACK)/lapack_LINUX.a (b) LIBS = $(LAPACK)/lapack_LINUX.a $(LAPACK)/blas_LINUX.a (c) gcc -Wall -O -o $@ project.o project.a $(LIBS) Question: What could be the reason for the undefined references of only some routines and what makes the order of appearance relevant?

• How do you install Castle Windsor IOC?

  I'm currently reading Pro ASP.NET MVC Framework by Sanderson. In the book he recommends setting up IoC using Castle Windsor, and he points out that the download automatically installs it and registers the Castle DLLs in the GAC. Well, at this point in time (5/4/2010), the Castle Project no longer has a downloadable installer that sets this up. Its all broken out into their individual subprojects with the raw files contained in zipped folders. Sadly there's no installation documentation that I can find about how to set it up. Being the noob that I am, I'm stuck and now forced to ask #1 where should castle windsor live on my hard drive? #2 how do I manually register the dlls properly? • How to get Webkit Browser DBus Bridge working?

  I've been struggling to get the Browser Dbus Binding working for Webkit/GTK (http://gitorious.org/webkitgtk/stable) port. I have been able to successfully compile the Webkit/GTK port as well as the DBus binding library on my Ubuntu Lucid Beta. I also installed the DBus binding library at the standard location /usr/local/lib. But now when I launch the Webkit/GTK browser and try to run one of the sample html files that are provided with DBus binding source, I get "Browser D-Bus Bridge not available, cannot run tests." Basically, JavaScript cannot find window.dbus object. Can anyone tell me what needs to be done here?

That being said, I am attempting to write an add-on that makes some configuration changes and needs to restart Firefox in order to have the changes take effect. I am currently restarting Firefox using the following code: var boot = Components.classes["@mozilla.org/toolkit/app-startup;1"].getService(Components.interfaces.nsIAppStartup); boot.quit(Components.interfaces.nsIAppStartup.eForceQuit|Components.interfaces.nsIAppStartup.eRestart); The problem is, it restarts and opens the browser window(s) to whatever the users homepage is currently set to. I want it to re-open all windows / tabs that were previously open before the restart (similar to what happens when you install a new add-on). Anyone ever messed with this type of functionality before?

  I'm looking to use NVelocity in my ASP.NET MVC application, not as a view engine, just for rendering some email templates. However, I cannot for the life of me get it to work. I have downloaded it from the castle project and followed the example at http://www.castleproject.org/others/nvelocity/usingit.html#step1 No matter what I try I don't seem to be able to load a template located in my site. The example suggests using the absolute path, which I have tried to no avail: Template t = engine.GetTemplate("/Templates/TestEmail.vm"); So please can someone give me two examples. One of loading a template located in the web site directory and secondly one parsing a string variable (as it is likely that my templates will be stored in a database). Many thanks Ben
