  I've made a lot of progress on this project (with earlier help with forum member Eric Badger, thanks!!) but I now need help with fine-tuning the infoWindow. Presently, you checkbox one of the historic maps choices -- the map appears as a ground overlay, and if you click it, you get info about the map which appears in a div (yellow area at the bottom). I want the info to appear in a more traditional window on the map, just to the center-right of the overlay map. It should have a close-option (X at the top corner?) Also, if you uncheck one of the boxes -- the overlay map disappears but the info window should close as well.  As you see my javascript skills are very limited. I would very much appreciate your help with this.   I am having I hope only two issues currently. I have had help on this on a previous question that I have asked but now I am running into different issues. My current issues now is that I need to print out into a JTextField a sorted array. I do not have questions about how to sort the array I just would like help on how to get the array to print to the JTextField when the Bubble Sort button is pressed. Currently when I press the button it freezes.   I'm have an issue where i'm updating a many-to-many relationship in a background thread, which works fine in that threa, but when I send the object back to the main thread the changes do not show. If I close the app and reopen the data is saved fine and the changes show on the main thread. Also using [context lock] instead of a different managed object context works fine. I have tried NSManagedObjectContext: - (BOOL)save:(NSError **)error; - (void)refreshObject:(NSManagedObject *)object mergeChanges:(BOOL)flag; at different stages throughout the process but it doesn't seem to help.   When i try to debug a simple application in Eclipse i receive a following error: Cannot connect to VM com.sun.jdi.connect.TransportTimeoutException And console provides me with a lonely string: FATAL ERROR in native method: JDWP No transports initialized, jvmtiError=AGENT_ERROR_TRANSPORT_INIT(197) I have JRE 1.6, JRE 1.7 and JDK 1.7 installed. Tried all of them. I've seen tons of same topics, but not a single answer helped me to solve my issue. Here they are: 1) Disable Firewall. Doesn't help. I have latest Avast ver. 9.0 at the moment. I'm a bit suspicious about that software, because before updating my Avast i was able to debug in Eclipse. I think it may cause this error, but i do not have direct clues :). I may ping my machine, firewall doesn't block Eclipse traffic, etc. 2) Add strings to hosts file. No reaction. ::1 localhost.localdomain localhost 127.0.0.1 localhost 3) Changing Network Settings in Java Control Panel to "Direct" connection. Doubtful advice.   I'm trying to deploy a web application which uses F# 4.0 on Windows Server 2008. It works on my computer where VS2010 is installed but it doesn't work on the server. Everytime you open the page you'll get this error message: Could not load file or assembly 'FSharp.Core, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. I've installed .NET 4 using the web platform installer. F# PowerPack is installed too. I found this page: http://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStudio/feedback/details/507202/error-in-working-with-f It suggests you to reinstall F#, but the link to download F# seems to be broken. And it might not be the same problem I have. I've also tried to install Microsoft F# 2.0.0.0 since it's the only F# redistribution I could find. But it doesn't help at all.   Hello, I was expecting the below scenario common, but couldn't find much help online. I have a form loaded through Ajax (say, create entity form). That is the ajax post operation succeeds if it calls from a static html file. But if I chain the requests (after completing the first), so that it calls from the output form generated by the first request, nothing happens. I could see the post method is called through firebug. Is there a better way to handle above flow? One more interesting thing I noticed. As you could see, I use grails as my platform. If I keep the javascripts in the main.gsp (master layout), the submit event would not register as the breakpoint is not hit in firebug. But, if I define the javascript in the template file (which renders the form above), the breakpoint is hit, but as I explained, the action is not called at the controller. Here's my setup: I have a zend application with a single point of entry (index.php) directly under my apache document root (call this the "public" folder). I also have all other public files (images, js, css, etc.) under the public folder. Here, I also have a wordpress blog under the "blog" folder. There's an empty test folder too The Problem When I go to mydomain.com/blog, I get redirected to http://www.theredpin.com/blog (correctly), then to http://www.theredpin.com/blog/ (just with an extra / at end), finally to http://theredpin.com/blog/ -- and we're back where we started. The loop continues. What I don't understand is why would wordpress try to remove the www? I'm guessing it's wordpress because my empty test folder acts just fine! PLEASE HELP.   I think I am stuck in the paralysis of analysis. Please help! I currently have a project that Uses NHibernate on SQLite Implements Repository and Unit of Work pattern: http://blogs.hibernatingrhinos.com/nhibernate/archive/2008/04/10/nhibernate-and-the-unit-of-work-pattern.aspx MVVM strategy in a WPF app Unit of Work implementation in my case supports one NHibernate session at a time. I thought at the time that this makes sense; it hides inner workings of NHibernate session from ViewModel. Now, according to Oren Eini (Ayende): http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/ee819139.aspx He convinces the audience that NHibernate sessions should be created / disposed when the view associated with the presenter / viewmodel is disposed. He presents issues why you don't want one session per windows app, nor do you want a session to be created / disposed per transaction. This unfortunately poses a problem because my UI can easily have 10+ view/viewmodels present in an app. He is presenting using a MVP strategy, but does his advice translate to MVVM? Does this mean that I should scrap the unit of work and have viewmodel create NHibernate sessions directly? Should a WPF app only have one working session at a time? If that is true, when should I create / dispose a NHibernate session? And I still haven't considered how NHibernate Stateless sessions fit into all this! My brain is going to explode. Please help!

  Hi, we are migrating from WebLogic web-services to Spring-WS (1.5.X). There is currently one issue we are facing: We need to pass a context object (on WLS it is passed as SOAP-Header element) to other services that are still running on WLS from the Spring-WS powered service. The header element is still formulated on client side and the newly created WS (Spring-WS) should just pass it to other services. I can imagine how the custom element would be passed: override the doWithMessage(WebServiceMessage message) method... Is there a way to generate the wsdl with the help of DefaultWsdl11Definition to contain that custom header element? • JavaMail not sending Subject or From under jetty:run-war

  Has anyone seen JavaMail not sending proper MimeMessages to an SMTP server, depending on how the JVM in started? At the end of the day, I can't send JavaMail SMTP messages with Subject: or From: fields, and it appears other headers are missing, only when running the app as a war. The web project is built with Maven and I'm testing sending JavaMail using a browser and a simple mail.jsp to debug and see different behavior when launching the app with: 1) mvn jetty:run (mail sends fine, with proper Subject and From fields) 2) mvn jetty:run-war (mail sends fine, but missing Subject, From, and other fields) I've meticulously run diff on the (verbose) Maven debug output (-X), and there are zero differences in the runtime dependencies between the two. I've also compared System properties, and they are identical. Something else is happening the jetty:run-war case that changes the way JavaMail behaves. What other stones need turning? Curiously, I've tried a debugger in both situations and found that the javax.mail.internet.MimeMessage instance is getting created differently. The webapp is using Spring to send email picked off of an Apache ActiveMQ queue. When running the app as mvn jetty:run the MimeMessage.contentStream variable is used for message content. When running as mvn jetty:run-war, the MimeMessage.content variable is used for the message contents, and the content = ASCIIUtility.getBytes(is); call removes all of the header data from the parsed content. Since this seemed very odd, and debugging Spring/ActiveMQ is a deep dive, I created a simplified test without any of that infrastructure: just a JSP using mail-1.4.2.jar, yet the same headers are missing. Also of note, these headers are missing when running the WAR file under Tomcat 5.5.27. Tomcat behaves just like Jetty when running the WAR, with the same missing headers. With JavaMail debugging turned on, I clearly see different output.   Hi! I am making a flash app that demonstrates potensial traffic injuries when driving at different speeds. I want the user to be able to share this information on facebook. However this demands that i can customize the text that will appear on facebook in some manner. I am making an url that is opened in a blank window (from the flash app itself). I specify the u and t parameters, putting the generated message as the t parameter. But this seems to always be overridden by the pages title. If i omit the title tag from the html code, the file name is used (also overriding the specified title). http://www.facebook.com/sharer.php?u=http://espentokerud.com/face/addiste.html&t=test; I also tried url-encoding the url, but to no avail. http://www.facebook.com/sharer.php?u=http%3a%2f%2fespentokerud.com%2fface%2faddiste.html&t=test; I also tried using the addthis API, but experience the same shortcomings. The funny thing is that if i post a swf, the title and description can be customized, and it is also possible to specify a screenshot. But if i dont post a swf, this seems to be ignored. I am aware that I can use meta tags on the html page to specify the thumbnail image, title and description, but some of this content has to be based on calculations inside the flash app. Can anyone help me out or point me in the right direction? I am thankful for any help!

  Hi, I'm attempting to build a ASP.NET website using MSBuild - specifically the AspNetCompiler tag. I know that, for my project, I need to add some references. Within Visual Studio I have several references, one is a project reference and the others are some DLLS (AjaxControlToolkit etc). I'm happy not referencing the project and referencing the DLL instead - however I just can't work out how to add a reference. • Biztalk Server 2009 - Failover Clustering and Network Load Balancing (NLB)

  Hi, We are planning a Biztalk 2009 set up in which we have 2 Biztalk Application Servers and 2 DB Servers (DB servers being in an Active/Passive Cluster). All servers are running Windows Server 2008 R2. As part of our application, we will have incoming traffic via the MSMQ, FILE and SOAP adapters. We also have a requirement for High-availability and Load-balancing. Let's say I create two different Biztalk Hosts and assign the FILE receive handler to the first one and the MSMQ receive handler to the second one. I now create two host instances for each of the two hosts (i.e. one for each of my two physical servers). After reviewing the Biztalk Documentation, this is what I know so far: For FILE (Receive), high-availablity and load-balancing will be achieved by Biztalk automatically because I set up a host instance on each of the two servers in the group. MSMQ (Receive) requires Biztalk Host Clustering to ensure high-availability (Host Clustering however requires Windows Failover Clustering to be set up as well). No loading-balancing option is clear here. SOAP (Receive) requires NLB to achieve Load-balancing and High-availability (if one server goes down, NLB will direct traffic to the other). This is where I'm completely puzzled and I desperately need your help: Is it possible to have a Windows Failover Cluster and NLB set up at the same time on the two application servers? If yes, then please tell me how. If no, then please explain to me how anyone is acheiving high-availability and load-balancing for MSMQ and SOAP when their underlying prerequisites are mutually exclusive! • Advice on database design / SQL for retrieving data with chronological order

  I am creating a database that will help keep track of which employees have been on a certain training course. I would like to get some guidance on the best way to design the database. Specifically, each employee must attend the training course each year and my database needs to keep a history of all the dates on which they have attend the course in the past. The end user will use the software as a planning tool to help them book future course dates for employees. When they select a given employee they will see: (a) Last attendance date (b) Projected future attendance date(i.e. last attendance date + 1 calendar year) In terms of my database, any given employee may have multiple past course attendance dates: EmpName AttandanceDate Joe Bloggs 1st Jan 2007 Joe Bloggs 4th Jan 2008 Joe Bloggs 3rd Jan 2009 Joe Bloggs 8th Jan 2010 My question is what is the best way to set up the database to make it easy to retrieve the most recent course attendance date? In the example above, the most recent would be 8th Jan 2010. Is there a good way to use SQL to sort by date and pick the MAX date? My other idea was to add a column called ‘MostRecent’ and just set this to TRUE. EmpName AttandanceDate MostRecent Joe Bloggs 1st Jan 2007 False Joe Bloggs 4th Jan 2008 False Joe Bloggs 3rd Jan 2009 False Joe Bloggs 8th Jan 2010 True I wondered if this would simplify the SQL i.e. SELECT Joe Bloggs WHERE MostRecent = ‘TRUE’ Also, when the user updates a given employee’s attendance record (i.e. with latest attendance date) I could use SQL to: Search for the employee and set the MostRecent value to FALSE Add a new record with MostRecent set to TRUE? Would anybody recommended either method over the other? Or do you have a completely different way of solving this problem?
