    I created a wireless network inside a D-Link DIR-301 connected to a Mac, What I want is that every device to connect to this network if the browser automatically opens instead of the default homepage, it redirects to my website already set in the localhost of the machine which also has the router attached. I'd also like to see that instead of the IP to connect to the site, there will be a "fake" link. What do you advise me? how can I proceed?   • How to pause and resume a game in XNA using the same key?

    I'm attempting to implement a really simple game state system, this is my first game - trying to make a Tetris clone. I'd consider myself a novice programmer at best. I've been testing it out by drawing different textures to the screen depending on the current state. The 'Not Playing' state seems to work fine, I press Space and it changes to 'Playing', but when I press 'P' to pause or resume the game nothing happens. I tried checking current and previous keyboard states thinking it was happening to fast for me to see, but again nothing seemed to happen. If I change either the pause or resume, so they're both different, it works as intended. I'm clearly missing something obvious, or completely lacking some know-how in regards to how update and/or the keyboard states work.   • Open a remote folder in windows mobile

    I have a device with windows mobile 6.1 and I want to open a shared folder on my laptop with the file browser... Both are connected to the same wireless network, both have access to internet but I can't have access between them... I have used open path in the file explorer and nothing... I shut down the firewall on mi laptop but still I can't access.. I don't know anything about permissions if that is the problema because I'm a novice... if anyone can helpme I'll appreciate it a lot...Thanks...

  • Incrementing ticket numbers each time I print

    I have an excel sheet where I have a set 4 identical tickets to print per page which we use for stock takes. Rather then creating a huge document with 1000 pages for 4000 tickets each with their own unique ticket number (starting from 1) I would like to find a Macro or function which will print a page with 4 tickets on (1,2,3,4) then continue to print another with (5,6,7,8) and so on. I have found some code that people have already written but it has only applied to one number changing per page rather than 4 simultaneously and being a complete visual basic novice, I was unable to change the code to suit my preferences. If someone could explain simply how I could achieve this I would be very very grateful :)

    I'm a novice linux user and I am trying to send a long list of files from one computer to another. The argument list is too long, so I am using find. I am having trouble setting up the expression, though. Can someone help? Here is what I would normally type for a short argument list. scp ./* phogan@computer/directory... Here's I think this might translate into with find. scp find . -name "*" phogan@computer/directory... Maybe I could use piping? Any suggestions would help. Thanks in advance.

  • Network connectivity issue

    I am a novice cisco user and I am trying to investigate as to why one of our connections went down. We have a fiber network ring that is operating just fine. Connected to this ring via ethernet, is a lone 3560. This connection has worked flawlessly for the past year and a half. This morning, I noticed that I could not connect to that remote switch. I checked the configurations on both switches, and nothing has changed (as I expected). In the field, the port lights were flashing, indicating that some sort of communication is occurring. There is only 1 ethernet cable that has been run between these two locations, so testing an alternate path is not possible. What else can I do to fix this connection?

  • Access Windows VPN DNS from Ubuntu

    I am using Ubuntu 10.04 to access a Windows VPN. I connect to the VPN from Ubuntu, and when I open a Windows 7 virtual machine (VirtualBox), everything works great ... I can access local network drives, ping local servers, remote into local machines, etc. However, I can do none of this from Ubuntu. With the VPN connected, I cannot even ping anything within the VPN local network. I'm guessing it's a DNS issue that Windows is handling automatically but Ubuntu needs a setting somewhere to tell it to use the DNS servers of the VPN network? Any ideas? I'm a relative novice to Ubuntu, esp. VPN in Ubuntu. [EDIT] Actually, I'm almost positive it is DNS, because if I get the IP address from the Windows VM I can use Terminal Server Client to remote into a machine.

I want to learn how to operate and use Ubuntu much more than I do now, so I figured installing it and trying to do day to day functions here would be a "Thrown into the pool with sharks" way to do it, and I like that way. I did however have a few questions: We are on a Domain in Windows, is there any way to join that domain using the Ubuntu partition? We Also have 16 mapped network drives. I don't actually need ALL of them mapped for Ubuntu, but is there a way to Map at least one of them to see/use here in Ubuntu. Outlook Corporate email, how can I sign in/use it while...well, you get the idea. As I said earlier, I am VERY new to Ubuntu, i've only played around with it a bit at home and never at the office. If you could simplify it down for me a bit, that would be great.

    Unfortunately i read an article on how to avoid destroying your websites SEO from a redesign article AFTER its was too late! Here is the article (http://www.searchenginejournal.com/how-to-avoid-seo-disaster-during-a-website-redesign/42824/) On 20 November 12 completely redesigned our www.retromodern.com.au . We get ALL our customers from our website as we do not have a shop. Since that dreaded day a month ago the phone pretty much stopped, basically no emails, Google rankings down and Google analytics have halved by 50%. Yesterday i did some research into as as i had no idea that a re-design of a website could have such a damaging effect - yes i am a novice and use a WYSIWYG type web builder. There are lots of info on how to AVOID this from happening BUT what do i do as i have already made the mistake?
