• A way to search form table in MySQL database.

  I looked for a way to scan database for a specific table. For example i have: Database: system_ultimate Table: system_settings And let us say, that one doesn't know precise name of the table. He only knows, that it is some how connected to word settings. How could he search for that table name then? I understand, that usually people who develop know, what they develop, but I'm trying to get hang of MVC and I'm trying to stay as far away as possible from direct communication with table using the name. I know, that to see all tables I could use SHOW TABLES;

  I'm wondering if it is possible at all in python to stringify variable id/symbol -- that is, a function that behaves as follows: >>> symbol = 'whatever' >>> symbol_name(symbol) 'symbol' Now, it is easy to do it on a function or a class (if it is a direct reference to the object): >>> def fn(): pass >>> fn.func_name 'fn' But I'm looking for a general method that works on all cases, even for indirect object references. • Timeout loading application on GAE using web2py

  I am uploading an app to GAE. Through some experimentation I've found that if I don't include wsgihandler.py, the app loads very slowly. It feels like it's looking for this file and them timing out. Besides the slow loading, everything works perfectly without wsgihandler.py, so I want to know if there is a simple way to remove the references to the file. I tried poking around the files, but it doesn't look like there are direct references. Also, I asked before what I need at a minimum to get an application to work, and I found that I need: web2py/app.yaml web2py/gaehandler.py web2py/VERSION web2py/gluon/* (and subfolders, this is web2py) web2py/applications/theoneappyouwanttodeploy/* (and subfolders)

• CSS float problems, works in IE, doesn't work in Chrome/FF.. I'm probably doing something wrong

  I'm not terribly well-versed in CSS.. and don't know all of the major quirks yet. Maybe someone can help me. I've set up an image showing my code, a diagram of my DIVs, and examples of how it looks in IE versus Chrome/FF Can someone direct me to the proper way to go about this? It works fine in IE, but in Chrome and FF, one of the images is escaping its container, and the "content block" as I call it is going underneath the image it's supposed to be next to. Each of the components has a css class despite my diagram saying there's no css.. currently there's just some basic styling for those (padding, text-indent, etc). Thank you

• delphi finalizalization code in a DLL

  I am moving some functions to a shared DLL (I want to have some called as a Windows hook). The actual functions are currently in a unit, and it happens to have some initialization and some finalization code. I was initially thinking on doing a direct transformation from a unit to a library. So I moved the initialization code in between the main begin and end.. But then I realized I had no place to move the finalization code. I should create and register an special DLL entry point, instead. My question is. Can I leave the unit with all the functions and the initialization and finalization codes and just create a library stub that uses the unit? will the finalizationit be called?

• Secure method for linking to image files uploaded via custom CMS

  How does one provide a direct URL for an image file (JPEG) that is secure? For example, if a PHP script writes uploaded images to directory http://www.somehost.com/images, is it okay to provide http://www.somehost.com/images/someimage.jpg as the URL, or is there a more secure way to do this? Should I look into something like the permalink feature that is a part of Wordpress? I am not sure if that is related. The main reason I ask is that I have a custom PHP/MySQL CMS for managing images. I would like for the client to be able to copy a link to the image they want and then include it in a TinyMCE text editor for inserting the image in their website. Thanks!

• Reading a bmp file and inverting it in C

  I have an assignment that deals with reading a bmp file into memory, inverts the pixels, and then saves the inverted image to a new file. From this description it seems fairly easy, however I don't think my professor did a great job in explaining the necessary steps to go about doing so. He taught us about fread and fwrite but there is so much more. Can anyone explain the process in going about this problem (I'm no looking for a direct answer just an explanation).   I am trying to create a new Notice Alert using PHP and Javascript. Suppose that a 100 users are currently logged into to the Online Notice Board Application and any One user posts a new notice. I want an immediate alert signal on all the users screen. I know, that the simplest way of doing it is to constantly Ping the server but I don't want to do it as it will slow down the server. Moreover, I am on a shared host. So I don't have access to any Socket Port. That means, I cannot establish any direct Socket Communication Channel from the Server to the User Machine. • Redirect to hash URL

  I'm building a site with a hashchange on wordpress, all working good. It just loads a single.php template file into a div. The problem is that i can still access my single url (http://www.mydomain.com/my-single-post). Since its not having any head and style tags with it, i don't want people to go over there. Also google has picked up the direct links, because I use the href attribute to load content into the div. So my question is: If someone clicks a link lets say in a forum, http://www.mydomain.com/my-single-post , is it possible to redirect him instantly to http://www.mydomain.com/#my-single-post ? I have researched that it has something to do with .htaccess, but I also have Pages, where i don't want the hash infront of the page-name.

  Currently I sell a program, that accesses my webpage. The program is HWID (Hard Ware ID) locked, and the only reason I use the program to access the webpage instead of direct access via a webbrowser, is so that I can use HWID authentication. However, I've just been told I can code a script to get computer information, such as hardware ID etc. Is this actually possible completely server-side? If so, can I do it with PHP? If not, what language would this be, and what functions would I have to look into for this?

• Have all internal links in drupal leave out subdirectory where docroot resides

  I've successfully followed some instructions online to get our plain url to direct to the content found in a subfolder (drupaldev) so that when you enter any url for that site even without the subdirectory name, it serves the correct page. However, I cannot figure out how to remove the internal links on the site that reference the '/drupaldev/' subdirectory. • Heartbeat won't successfully start up resources from a cold boot when a failed node is present

  I currently have two ubuntu servers running Heartbeat and DRBD. The servers are directory connected with a 1000Mbps crossover cable on eth1 and have access to an IP camera LAN on eth0. Now, let's say that one node is down and the remaining functional node is booting after having been shut down. The node that is still functioning won't start up heartbeat and provide access to the drbd resource from a cold boot. • Why load increase ,ssd iops increase but cpu iowait decrease?

  There is a strange thing on my server which has a mysql running on it. The QPS is more than 4000 but TPS is less than 20. The server load is more than 80 and cpu usr is more than 86% but iowait is less than 8%. The disk iops is more than 16000 and util of disk is more than 99%. When the QPS decreases, the load decreases, the cpu iowait increases. • 2-Bay External HDD Enclosure in JBOD mode fails to detect both drives (Linux & Windows)

  I recently purchased a couple of USB 3.0 External HDD Enclosures to use for storage and backup; the idea was to have one act as backup to the other, with 4 x 3TB drives in total. However, the second drive in each is not accessible in either Linux nor Windows, and I could not determine the reason. 1. Situation The two enclosures are slightly different (couldn't find them in stock at the same time) yet from many little details appear to be the same Chinese base design with a tweaked outer shell. The models are: Sharkoon 2-Bay RAID Box Fantec MR-35DU3 The drives are Seagate 3TB Barracuda ST33000651AS, firmware CC44, all identical. From reading manuals and online sources, I determined that JBOD would be the optimal setup for my needs -- addressing the two drives separately in each enclosure would be important, making it easy to swap drives and mix&match them if needed; all the other modes implied the controller doing a combination of the drives. The software used was Debian GNU/Linux - testing/wheezy - kernel 2.6.39-2 and Windows 7 Ultimate. 2. Description of the problem Now, here comes the problem: every time I connect either of the enclosures to a PC using the supplied cable (tried a different one as well), only the HDD in the top bay is readable, the one below is detected yet errors out in various ways. According to the manuals, it should not happen: in JBOD, the system should be able to "see" two separate drives upon connection. This happens with both enclosures and any combination of HDDs (i.e. if I swap them, the same thing happens), so the HDDs are good and I think so are the enclosures (two different companies making similar products that failed in an identical fashion would be very unlikely). The top HDD can be used fine every time, I actually tried a speed test from Linux and got about 150MiB/s reads, so all is working as it should; the one below refuses to work every time. So the failure is consistent. To make sure this was not some obscure Linux bug, I tried the same under Windows 7, and the system also only created one drive letter for a drive of 3TB size (so it was only seeing one instead of both). Placing an older, known good, 2TB drive in the top bay made that the one recognised, so we have the same issue under Windows as well. Log entries under Linux (tested here with a 3TB and a 2TB drive so I could differentiate them; either one works in the top enclosure, in the test setup the 3TB one is on top). • OS X won't see Windows 7 in network (and vice versa)

  I've enabled SMB sharing in OS X Lion and have added folders to share, it says 'Windows Sharing: On' with a green circle next to it (from the sharing window) and that to access the volume I will need to to go to \\192.168.0.17. It also says that the OS X should be visible as 'macbook' in the network. Both my WIndows 7 and OS X are connected to the same network, yet when I try to go to \\192.168.0.17 or from the Mac try to go to my Windows system (smb://192.168.0.6) the two OSs don't see each other. Any ideas why? Attempting to ping the Mac from Windows results in this output in the command prompt: Pinging 192.168.0.17 with 32 bytes of data: Reply from 192.168.0.6: Destination host unreachable. • ESX3.5 Cluster & MD3000i -- Both servers see iSCSI Targets, Only one server can use partition.

  Alright. First and foremost, Warning. This is a bigger-then-normal question. I like to be thorough and try to eliminate all possible "easymode" answers, as well as give everyone a feel of what i've tried. I've included several images of our setup and the problem it is having.. TLDR Version: So I've followed the guides located here: ESX Deployment Guide V1 this is the guide Dell has sent me to setup two ESX3.5 servers mounting a Dell MD3000i. It doesn't work. Both servers can't use the same storage partition on the MD3000. Both servers see it, but only one server can actually use it. (that server being whatever server created the partition on the target.) Both ESX servers are members of the Host Group. Full Version I have 2 ESX3.5 Servers (10.0.7.102, also called EPI2, and 10.0.7.103, also called EPI3.) connected to a iSCSI SAN Device (Dell MD3000i). Both ESX servers can "scan" the SAN and see the LUNS. Part One: MD3000i Storage On the MD3000i, Both servers are in my host group. I have two partitions, VM1 and VM2, both 1.6TB (vmware doesn't like anything past 2tb.) And you can even see that the ESX servers are targetting the MD3000 just fine. Part Two: The ESX Servers Figure 1. So as you can see above, Both ESX Servers (10.0.7.102 and 10.0.7.103) are able to see and scan the MD3000i SAN. Figure 2. Above is the storage both servers see. I created the storage partition on EPI2 (102). I then Extended the partition to include the second LUN for a grand total of 3.27 TB of storage. When i "rescan" on 103 (the server not mounting the partition), I get the below log in log/messages. Mar 11 10:41:18 epi3 kernel: scsi singledevice 1 0 0 0 Things I've Tried: Removing iSCSI targets from only 103, disabling iSCSI, rebooting, enabled iSCSI, re-adding targets, rescan. Same result. Removing partition on 102, Formatted partition on 103 instead. Same result, except flipped. 103 can use storage, 102 can not. Starting Over. Removing all iSCSI Targets on both ESX Boxes, disabling iSCSI, turning off the firewall for iSCSI, rebooting ESX. Then on the MD3000, Removed the Host Group, Removed the Host-to-Virtual Mappings, Restarted the SAN. Followed the Documentation again, same result. Both servers see the storage, but only one server can use it. Disabling and Re-enabling VMware DRS and HA. Same result. Flat-out turning off VMware DRS and HA, and doing the "start over" step to see if maybe that borked it. Same Result. I'm kinda loosing my mind here, Everything i read online says "just partition it and if the ESX boxes can see the targets, it just works".... well crap. Any ideas, any other things to try? Can anyone atleast point me in the right direction? I'm really tired of working from 1am til 4am (our maintenance hours)

• Curl Error 52 Empty reply from server

  Hello I have a cron job setup on one server to run a backup script in PHP that is hosted on another server. The command I've been using is formatted like this: curl -sS http://www.example.com/backup.php Lately I've been getting this error when the Cron runs curl: (52) Empty reply from server I have no idea what this means. If I go to the link directly in my browser the script runs fine and I get my little backup zip file. Can anyone help? Thanks, Paul

• jqgrid date picker problem

  For a couple of days now I have been playing around with the jqgrid.I have been trying to accomplish what is found on this example http://www.the-di-lab.com/demo/apples that is placing a date picker on the modal form. So far I have tried to follow what I found on this link but I get a target.getAttribute is not a function error in my ui.datepicker.js script. Anyone who has done it succesfully?
