• How do you push changes to GitHub on OS X 10.6?

  I'm really new to the whole GitHub thing so this might seem like a basic question but I can't figure it out. I have a GitHub repository set up on my machine, I've managed at some point to push the master but now I have made some changes and I want to push the entire thing again (pretty much everything changed). What I'm wondering is: How do you push an entire repository to create a new version (from version 1.0.0 to 1.0.1)? How do you push a single file for more incremental changes?

  I'm trying to use the "new" 2.0 c++ version of OpenCV, but everything is else like in simple C version. I have some problem with changing the values in image.   I'm redirecting a domain to Heroku using a cname. Currently Its working but is giving me an ssl error. Is there a way to turn off ssl on heroku? Heres the SSL Error This is probably not the site you are looking for! You attempted to reach app.grewpr.com, but instead you actually reached a server i identifying itself as *.herokuapp.com. This may be caused by a misconfiguration on the server or by something more serious. An attacker on your network could be trying to get you to visit a fake (and potentially harmful) version of app.grewpr.com. You should not proceed, especially if you have never seen this warning before for this site. When I try to go to http://pure-chamber-1979.herokuapp.com/ it automatically redirects me to the ssl version. Is there a way to turn this off?

  I am trying to convert a date to a DateTime Object. My code works fine on my localhost (php version 5.3) but returns a blank DateTime object on my remote server (php version 5.2.14). • Why is Django sending the wrong email template?

  I'm so baffled... I keep staring at this code, looking for the typo, but I can't find it! template = 'emails/transporter_joined' tt = loader.get_template(template+'.txt') c = Context({'user':user, 'fee': settings.FEE * Decimal('100.00'),'settings':settings}) e = EmailMultiAlternatives('Activate Your Account', tt.render(c), '[email protected]', [user.email]) try: ht = loader.get_template(template+'.html') e.attach_alternative(ht.render(c), 'text/html') except: pass e.send() First it should load the 'emails/transporter_joined.txt' template, and adds that to the email. And then it tries to load a '.html' version and attaches that too. In Gmail you can see the the "original email" with both emails, and all the headers in plain text. It very clearly shows the .txt version twice. the .html and .txt files are definitely different. What am I doing wrong here? If I replace this tt = loader.get_template(template+'.txt') With .html instead, then it sends the .html twice... it must be Django that's screwing up, no?

  I need to replace a lot of values for a Table in SQL if the inactivity is greater then 30 days. I have UPDATE VERSION SET isActive = 0 WHERE customerNo = ( SELECT c.VersionNo FROM Activity b INNER JOIN VERSION c ON b.VersionNo = c.VersionNo WHERE (Months_between(sysdate, b.Activitye) > 30) ); It only works for one value though, if there is more then one returned it fails. What am I missing here? If someone could educate me on what is going on, I'd also appreciate it.

• WebSphere hung threads, how can I track then down?

  We have an application running on WebSphere (unfortunately it is 6.1 which is no longer supported, it has not yet been migrated in production to a later version) which becomes entirely unresponsive because of hung threads. As far as I can tell we entirely exhaust one of the thread pools. I have activated hung thread detection and I get a core/thread dump when hung threads are detected. The server can run for several days without problems but has crashed twice this week. When load the core/thread dump in "IBM Thread and Monitor Dump Analyzer for Java", it tells me that there are a certain number of hung threads (this time it was 2, last time 11) and multiple (usually around 40) threads "waiting on condition" and some running threads. I believe one of the thread pool has around that size (50). Now what I see in there are threads waiting for locks, having locks or in wait. Most of them show a stack track which always ends like this: at java/lang/Object.wait(Native Method) at java/lang/Object.wait(Object.java:231) Now, how can I track this down to either a server configuration problem, application issue, WebSphere problem or something else? How is this supposed to help me track down the problem when almost everything in there refers to IBM code? I cannot ask IBM's help as 6.1 is now an unsupported version of WebSphere and while work has been done to make it work under WebSphere 7 we are not yet ready to switch to it in Production yet.

• VS2010 (older) installer project - two or more objects have the same target location.

  This installer project was created back in 2004 and upgraded ever since. There are two offending dll files, which produce a total of 4 errors. I have searched online for this warning message and did not find a permanent fix (I did manage to make it go away once until I have done something like a clean, or built in Release, and then in Debug). I also tried cleaning, and then refreshing the dependencies. The duplicated entries are still in there. I also did not find a good explanation for what this error means. Additional warnings are of this nature: Warning 36 The version of the .NET Framework launch condition '.NET Framework 4' does not match the selected .NET Framework bootstrapper package. Update the .NET Framework launch condition to match the version of the .NET Framework selected in the Prerequisites Dialog Box. So, where is this prerequisites box? I want to make both things agree on .Net 4.0, just having a hard time locating both of them.

  My application is compiled on a development PC with a manifest 762: However at runtime, on another release PC, the application uses the 4053 version of the file. c:\windows\winsxs\x86_microsoft.vc80.crt_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.4053_x-ww_e6967989\MSVCR80.DLL Somewhere along the execution of my application I get a runtime error pointing to the msvcr80.dll. I suspect that the problem might be caused because the application use a DLL at runtime that was not used during the build. If I check in the WinSxS folder of the release PC I have both 762 and 4053 version of the CRT. Why does the application uses 4053 instead of the one used in the manifest? Thanks.

  I want to create a Google Closure Compiler plugin for eclipse. I already have a popup menu entry to compile a Javascript file to its minified version. But it would be more than helpful if every time you save a *.js that minified version would be generated automatically. I read/heard about natures and builders, extension points and IResourceChangeListener. But I did not manage to figure out what I should use and especially how to get it to work. Is there a working example of a plugin that does "the same kind of thing" so I can work from that or a tutorial to write such? • Software buttons in the android 4.2 emulator not showing up (tablet)

  I'm getting crazy right now. I just installed the latest android adt bundle from http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html. It's version v21.0.0. Now I wanted to test my tablet app (designed for 10.1" xlarge mdpi) in the emulator, but I cannot get any software buttons for home/back/... Here's my device configuration. This config is afterwards assigned to the avd. http://i.stack.imgur.com/Q7xvP.png Hardware-buttons don't work as well (you cannot set hardware buttons in a tablet-like emulator). The target api is level 15 (android 4.0.3). I searched stackoverflow, but didn't find any help concerning the latest version of android.   Righto, firstly magic quotes & runtime are disabled correctly in php.ini, and confirmed by phpinfo(). PHP version: 5.3.4 MySQL version: 5.1.52 I'm only use mysql_real_escape_string on the data, after htmlspecialchars and a trim, that's all the data cleaning on the variable. Yet, when I submit a single quote, the slash remains in the database. When running mysql_query I'm using "' . $var . '", although in the past this hasn't changed anything (could be due to the double quotes?). Any ideas? and please don't tell me about PDO/prepared statements, I'm aware of them and I have my reasons for doing it this way. Thanks!

  I have a dll that comes in both 32bit and 64bit version. My .NET WinForm is configured for "Any CPU" and my boss will not let us have separate installs for the different OS versions. So I am wondering: if I package both dlls in the install, then is there a way to have the WinForm determine if its 64bit/32bit and load the proper dll. I found this article for determining version. But i am not sure how to inject the proper way to define the DLLImport attribute on the methods i wish to use. Any ideas?

  I'm trying to write a SQL Query for DB2 Version 8 which retrieves the most recent order of a specific part for a list of users. The query receives a parameter which contains a list of customerId numbers and the partId number. For example, Order Table OrderID PartID CustomerID OrderTime I initially wanted to try: Select * from Order where OrderId = ( Select orderId from Order where partId = #requestedPartId# and customerId = #customerId# Order by orderTime desc fetch first 1 rows only ); The problem with the above query is that it only works for a single user and my query needs to include multiple users. Does anyone have a suggestion about how I could expand the above query to work for multiple users? If I remove my "fetch first 1 rows only," then it will return all rows instead of the most recent. I also tried using Max(OrderTime), but I couldn't find a way to return the OrderId from the sub-select. Thanks! Note: DB2 Version 8 does not support the SQL "TOP" function.

• After upgrading to 2.6.35-24 kernel, why does adb no longer list devices?

  When I first installed Ubuntu 10.10 64-bit, I was able to see a physical Android device (connected via USB) in the Android Device Chooser (launched from Eclipse). But, after upgrading my kernel from 2.6.35-22-generic to 2.6.35-24-generic, no devices are listed any more, and I am unable to see any results when running adb devices like so: $ ./adb devices List of devices attached $ I have tried booting in the previous kernel version, but I get some udev error, so I was hoping I could get it working with the newer kernel version. I figured SO was the best place for this question, as it seems more developer related.
