• Using CookieJar in Python to log in to a website from "Google App Engine". What's wrong here?

  Hello everybody, I've been trying to find a python code that would log in to my mail box on yahoo.com from "Google App Engine" . • JQuery overlay - issues with opening twitter "Allow Access" box

  Hey guys I'm using Jquery flowplayer tools overlay to open external links. External links are working fine with this piece of code shown in the link: http://www.demiseonline.com/misc/Iframeoverlay.html Now using this overlay - I wanted to open the twitter dialog which asks users to Allow access to their account. So in the code below, I replaced http://www.google.com with https://twitter.com/oauth/authenticate?oauth_token=VPVRIsnRz9IX4CAab7brert3jHiEs <div class="apple_overlay black" id="Overlay1" <iframe src ="http://www.google.com" width="100%" height="595px" frameborder="0" </iframe </div When I replace the code, as soon as I load the page, even before I click on the link to open the overlay - the page gets redirected to the twitter URL. • Is it posible to use "confirmit" to open new url in the same window?

  I'm using a the confirmit java script function to redirect to a new url with a positive response. It doesn't do exactly what I want - and maybe I can't have exactly what I want. Here's what it does - onunload, with a positive response it opens the new url in a new window, which can be blocked by a pop-up blocker without the user even knowing, giving the impression that nothing happened. When it does open the new URL it opens in a new window making the desktop crowded. Its just not a great solution. What I want it to do - onunload I'd like it to open the new url in the same window and have it not be classified as a "pop-up" to be blocked. I tried switching to onbeforeunload.... nuthin. • Can one connection get details of another? Or, how can I get the most detailed pending transaction

  Is there a Mysql statement which provides full details of any other open connection or user? For this particular case, on myisam tables specifically. Looking at Mysql's SHOW TABLE STATUS documentation, it's missing some very important information for my purpose. For example: remote odbc connection one is inserting several thousand records, which due to a slow connection speed can take up to an hour. Tcp connection two, using PHP on the server's localhost, is running select queries with aggregate functions on that data. Before allowing connection two to run those queries, I'd like connection two to first check to make sure there's no pending inserts on any other connection on those specific tables so it can instead wait until all data is available. If the table is currently being written to, I'd like to spit back to the user of connection two an approximation of how much longer to wait based on the number of pending inserts. Ideally by table, I'd like to get back using a query the timestamp when connection one began the write, total inserts left to be done, and total inserts already completed. Instead of insert counts, even knowing number of bytes written and left to write would work just fine here. Obviously since connection two is a tcp connection via a PHP script, all I can really use in that script is some sort of query. I suppose if I have to, since it is on localhost, I can exec() it if the only way is by a mysql command line option that outputs this info, but I'd rather not. I suppose I could simply update a custom-made transaction log before and after this massive insert task which the PHP script can check, but hopefully there's already a built-in Mysql feature I can take advantage of.

• How can I send GET data to multiple URLs at the same time using cURL?

  My apologies, I've actually asked this question multiple times, but never quite understood the answers. Here is my current code: while($resultSet = mysql_fetch_array($SQL)){ $ch = curl_init($resultSet['url'] . $fullcurl); //load the urls and send GET data curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_TIMEOUT, 2); //Only load it for two seconds (Long enough to send the data) curl_exec($ch); //Execute the cURL curl_close($ch); //Close it off } //end while loop What I'm doing here, is taking URLs from a MySQL Database ($resultSet['url']), appending some extra variables to it, just some GET data ($fullcurl), and simply requesting the pages. This starts the script running on those pages, and that's all that this script needs to do, is start those scripts. It doesn't need to return any output. Just the load the page long enough for the script to start. However, currently it's loading each URL (currently 11) one at a time. I need to load all of them simultaneously. I understand I need to use curl_multi_*, but I haven't the slightest idea on how cURL functions work, so I don't know how to change my code to use curl_multi_* in a while loop. So my questions are: How can I change this code to load all of the URLs simultaneously? Please explain it and not just give me code. I want to know what each individual function does exactly. Will curl_multi_exec even work in a while loop, since the while loop is just sending each row one at a time? And of course, any references, guides, tutorials about cURL functions would be nice, as well. Preferably not so much from php.net, as while it does a good job of giving me the syntax, its just a little dry and not so good with the explanations.

I really appreciate the help. Edit: I don't particularly care what's inside the paragraphs, as I can use strip_tags to eliminate what I don't want. • Using the StackTrace Class in a production environment to get calling method info

  hey guys We have a "log" class which uses Relection.MethodBase to send current class info to the log. The reflection.MethodBase stuff happens in the class itself. However, I'd like to move that stuff to a single external "log" singleton type class. In this scenario the external log class needs to get the CALLING info, not the current method info. I'm using stacktrace to do this, which isn't in the Reflection namespace.   Hello, My solution has a library project which needs a special environment to be built (lots of external libraries and tools)... but it is not vital to our application. We'd like to avoid installing these tools when not necessary (most of our developers work on other parts of code). We have created another project which has the same API, but has an empty implementation and is compilable without those external tools. I'd like to be able to easily switch between those projects and still get all the references in other projects correct. I don't know VS/MSBuild very well, but willing to learn whatever is necessary. Is it possible? I am looking for ideas... We're using Subversion, and solutions involving some hacks inside VCS are also welcome.

And why does it show up after another button click and not original button click that calls this event?

  I have a Java application running on Sun 1.6 32-bit VM/Solaris 10 (x86)/Nahelem 8-core(2 threads per core). A specific usecase in the application is to respond to some external message. In my performance test environment, when I prepare and send the response in the same thread that receives the external input, I get about 50 us advantage than when I hand off the message to a separate thread to send the response. I use a ThreadPoolExecutor with a SynchronousQueue to do the handoff. In your experience what is the acceptable delay between scheduling a task to a thread pool and it getting picked up for execution? What ideas had worked for you in the past to try improve this?

  I understand the process of using a 3rd party library to access functions outside of my code base, but how do i actually set up Visual Studio 2005 to include them in the project. I have a 3rd party library with some headers, some cpp's, and some .lib files. In the projects properties I add the top level external library directory as an include directory, I add the additional library directory at the same level put this is project properties too. In the .cpp file where I use the functions, do I put the #include in its header file? In the top level projects header file? in the cpp? I've tried all that, but I get "unresolved external symbol"... grrrrrrrrrrrrr

• Initializing Disqus comments in hidden element causes issue in FF 14.0.1

  This issue appears only in Firefox 14.0.1 (well I couldn't reproduce it in any other browser). If you put the code for Disqus comments inside an element that is hidden and wait until everything is fully loaded and then display the element using JavaScript, the comment box nor comments will show up. However if you resize the window, it'll show up immediately. It's working fine in latest version of Google Chrome and Safari though. What's causing this and how to fix it? • Listen to Response on HTML Form embedded in GWT View?

That could be handled for example with plugins like FancyBox. I also want to use this form embedded into a GWT view. Lets assume that the for cannot be created on client side because it has some server based markup language inside to set up some model data. If I want to use this form in GWT I have to do the following. Tell GWT the form request url and use a RequestBuilder to query the html content of this form. Then I can insert it into a div generated by GWT. So far so good. Problem: When the user hits the send button the response is handled my the JQuery callback that is inside the script under the form. Is there a way to access this callback from within GWT? Is there a way to overwrite the JQuery send action? Since, the code is HTML and comes from the server I cannot place ui-binder UiFields inside to get access to these DOM elements. I need to get the response if the submitted form accessible to GWT. Is there a way how I can achieve this with JSNI?

• What's a good way to parameterize "static" content (e.g. CSS) in a Tomcat webapp?

  Some of our CSS files contain parameters that can vary based on the deployment location (dev, QA, prod). For example: background: url(#DOJO_PATH#/dijit/themes...) to avoid hardcoding a path to a particular CDN or locally-hosted Dojo installation. These values are textually substituted with the real values by a deployment script, when it copies the contents of the webapp into the Tomcat webapps directory. That way the same deployment archive file (WAR + TAR file containing other configuration) can be deployed to dev, QA, and prod, with the varying parameters provided by environment-specific configuration files. However, I'd like to make the contents of the WAR (including the templatized CSS files) independent of this in-house deployment script. Since we don't really have control over the deployment script, all I can think to do is configure Tomcat with #DOJO_PATH# etc. as environment variables in the application's context.xml, and use Tomcat to insert those parameters into the CSS at runtime. I could make the CSS files into generated JSPs, but it seems a little ugly to me. Moreover, the substitution only needs to be done once per application deployment, so repeatedly dynamically generating the stylesheets using JSP will be rather wasteful. Does anyone have any alternative ideas or tools to use for this? We're committed to Tomcat and to substituting these parameters at deployment or at runtime (that is, not at build time).
