  • Drawing text to <canvas> with @font-face does not work at the first time

    - by lemonedo
    Hi all, First try the test case please: http://lemon-factory.net/test/font-face-and-canvas.html I'm not good at English, so I made the test case to be self-explanatory. On the first click to the DRAW button, it will not draw text, or will draw with an incorrect typeface instead of the specified "PressStart", according to your browser. After then it works as expected. At the first time the text does not appear correctly in all browsers I've tested (Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, Opera). Is it the standard behavior or something? Thank you. PS: Following is the code of the test case <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <meta http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html;charset=utf-8"> <title>@font-face and canvas</title> <style> @font-face { font-family: 'PressStart'; src: url('http://lemon-factory.net/css/fonts/prstart.ttf'); } canvas, pre { border: 1px solid #666; } pre { float: left; margin: .5em; padding: .5em; } </style> </head> <body> <div> <canvas id=canvas width=250 height=250> Your browser does not support the CANVAS element. Try the latest Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari or Opera. </canvas> <button>DRAW</button> </div> <pre id=style></pre> <pre id=script></pre> <script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.2/jquery.min.js"></script> <script> var canvas = document.getElementById('canvas') var ctx = canvas.getContext('2d') var x = 30 var y = 10 function draw() { ctx.font = '12px PressStart' ctx.fillStyle = '#000' ctx.fillText('Hello, world!', x, y += 20) ctx.fillRect(x - 20, y - 10, 10, 10) } $('button').click(draw) $('pre#style').text($('style').text()) $('pre#script').text($('script').text()) </script> </body> </html>

  • Django Encoding Issues with MySQL

    - by Jordan Reiter
    Okay, so I have a MySQL database set up. Most of the tables are latin1 and Django handles them fine. But, some of them are UTF-8 and Django does not handle them. Here's a sample table (these tables are all from django-geonames): DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `geoname`; SET @saved_cs_client = @@character_set_client; SET character_set_client = utf8; CREATE TABLE `geoname` ( `id` int(11) NOT NULL, `name` varchar(200) NOT NULL, `ascii_name` varchar(200) NOT NULL, `latitude` decimal(20,17) NOT NULL, `longitude` decimal(20,17) NOT NULL, `point` point default NULL, `fclass` varchar(1) NOT NULL, `fcode` varchar(7) NOT NULL, `country_id` varchar(2) NOT NULL, `cc2` varchar(60) NOT NULL, `admin1_id` int(11) default NULL, `admin2_id` int(11) default NULL, `admin3_id` int(11) default NULL, `admin4_id` int(11) default NULL, `population` int(11) NOT NULL, `elevation` int(11) NOT NULL, `gtopo30` int(11) NOT NULL, `timezone_id` int(11) default NULL, `moddate` date NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY (`id`), KEY `country_id_refs_iso_alpha2_e2614807` (`country_id`), KEY `admin1_id_refs_id_a28cd057` (`admin1_id`), KEY `admin2_id_refs_id_4f9a0f7e` (`admin2_id`), KEY `admin3_id_refs_id_f8a5e181` (`admin3_id`), KEY `admin4_id_refs_id_9cc00ec8` (`admin4_id`), KEY `fcode_refs_code_977fe2ec` (`fcode`), KEY `timezone_id_refs_id_5b46c585` (`timezone_id`), KEY `geoname_52094d6e` (`name`) ) ENGINE=MyISAM DEFAULT CHARSET=utf8; SET character_set_client = @saved_cs_client; Now, if I try to get data from the table directly using MySQLdb and a cursor, I get the text with the proper encoding: >>> import MySQLdb >>> from django.conf import settings >>> >>> conn = MySQLdb.connect (host = "localhost", ... user = settings.DATABASES['default']['USER'], ... passwd = settings.DATABASES['default']['PASSWORD'], ... db = settings.DATABASES['default']['NAME']) >>> cursor = conn.cursor () >>> cursor.execute("select name from geoname where name like 'Uni%Hidalgo'"); 1L >>> g = cursor.fetchone() >>> g[0] 'Uni\xc3\xb3n Hidalgo' >>> print g[0] Unión Hidalgo However, if I try to use the Geoname model (which is actually a django.contrib.gis.db.models.Model), it fails: >>> from geonames.models import Geoname >>> g = Geoname.objects.get(name__istartswith='Uni',name__icontains='Hidalgo') >>> g.name u'Uni\xc3\xb3n Hidalgo' >>> print g.name Unión Hidalgo There's pretty clearly an encoding error here. In both cases the database is returning 'Uni\xc3\xb3n Hidalgo' but Django is (incorrectly?) translating the '\xc3\xb3n' to ó. What can I do to fix this?

  • Raphael Scope Drag n drop multiple paper instances

    - by donald
    I have two Raphael paper instances. In both I want to drag and drop an element (circle). It is important for me to assign both these circles the same id. I expected no problem, as both are in different paper instances and therefore in different scope. What happens is, that somehow both elements react, when I have clicked both elements at least once. If I however give these elements different IDs everything works fine (each element only calls its "start", "drag" and "up" function if draged around). Is this intended behaviour of Raphael and do I have to assign different IDs to the elements in the different paper instances? Hopefully not and you can point me to the right direction :-) Thanks a lot for your Help in advance, Here comes the code: <!doctype html> <html> <head> <meta charset="utf-8" /> <title>DragNDrop</title> <script src="raphael-min.js"></script> </head> <body> <h1>Paper1</h1> <div id="divPaper1" style ="height: 150px; width: 300px; border:thin solid red"></div> <h1>Paper2</h1> <div id="divPaper2" style ="height: 150px; width: 300px; border:thin solid red"></div> <script> start1 = function () { console.log("start1"); } drag1 = function () { console.log("move1"); } up1 = function () { console.log("up1"); } start2 = function () { console.log("start2"); } drag2 = function () { console.log("move2"); } up2 = function () { console.log("up2"); } var paper1 = Raphael("divPaper1", "100%", "100%"); var circle1 = paper1.circle(40, 40, 30); circle1.attr("fill", "yellow"); circle1.id = "circle"; //both circles get the same id circle1.drag(drag1, start1, up1); paper2 = Raphael("divPaper2", "100%", "100%"); var circle2 = paper2.circle(40, 40, 30); circle2.attr("fill", "red"); circle2.id = "circle"; //both circles get the same id circle2.drag(drag2, start2, up2); </script> </body>

  • Why is zIndex not working from IE/Javascript?

    - by Vilx-
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" /> <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=7" /> <title>Problem demo</title> </head> <body> <div style="background:red; position:relative;" id='div1'>1. <div style="background:lime; position: absolute; width: 300px;height: 300px; top: 3px; left: 30px" id="div2">3.</div> </div> <div style="background:blue;position:relative;color: white" id="div3">2.</div> <script type="text/javascript">/*<![CDATA[*/ window.onload= function() { // The container of the absolute DIV document.getElementById('div1').style.zIndex = 800; // The lowest DIV of all which obscures the absolute DIV document.getElementById('div2').style.zIndex = 1; // The absolute DIV document.getElementById('div3').style.zIndex = 1000; } /*]]>*/</script> </body> </html> In a nutshell, this script has two DIV elements with position:relative and the first of them has a third DIV with position:absolute in it. It's all set to run on IE-7 standards mode (I'm targeting IE7 and above). I know about the separate z-stacks of IE, so by default the third DIV should be beneath the second DIV. To fix this problem there is some Javascript which sets the z-orders of first and third DIV to 1000, and the z-order of the second DIV to 999. Unfortunately this does not help. If the z-indexes were set in markup, this would work, but why not from JS? Note: This problem does not exist in IE8 standards mode, but I'm targetting IE7, so I can't rely on that. Also, if you save this to your hard drive and then open it up, at first IE complains something about ActiveX and stuff. After you wave it away, everything works as expected. But if you refresh the page, the problem is there again.

  • Validating against a Schema with JAXB

    - by fwgx
    I've been looking for solutions to this problem for far too long considering how easy it sounds so I've come for some help. I have an XML Schema which I have used with xjc to create my JAXB binding. This works fine when the XML is well formed. Unfortunately it also doesn't complain when the XML is not well formed. I cannot figure out how to do proper full validation against the schema when I try to unmarshall an XML file. I have managed to use a ValidationEventCollector to handle events, which works for XML parsing errors such as mismatched tags but doesn't raise any events when there is a tag that is required but is completely absent. From what I have seen validation can be done againsta schema, but you must know the path to the schema in order to pass it into the setSchema() method. The problem I have is that the path to the schema is stored in the XML header and I can't knwo at run time where the schema is going to be. Which is why it's stored in the XML file: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <DDSSettings xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="/a/big/long/path/to/a/schema/file/DDSSettings.xsd"> <Field1>1</Field1> <Field2>-1</Field2> ...etc Every example I see uses setValidating(true), which is now deprecated, so throws an exception. This is the Java code I have so far, which seems to only do XML validation, not schema validation: try { JAXBContext jc = new JAXBContext() { private final JAXBContext jaxbContext = JAXBContext.newInstance("blah"); @Override public Unmarshaller createUnmarshaller() throws JAXBException { Unmarshaller unmarshaller = jaxbContext.createUnmarshaller(); ValidationEventCollector vec = new ValidationEventCollector() { @Override public boolean handleEvent(ValidationEvent event) throws RuntimeException { ValidationEventLocator vel = event.getLocator(); if (event.getSeverity() == event.ERROR || event.getSeverity() == event.FATAL_ERROR) { String error = "XML Validation Exception: " + event.getMessage() + " at row: " + vel.getLineNumber() + " column: " + vel.getColumnNumber(); System.out.println(error); } m_unmarshallingOk = false; return false; } }; unmarshaller.setEventHandler(vec); return unmarshaller; } @Override public Marshaller createMarshaller() throws JAXBException { throw new UnsupportedOperationException("Not supported yet."); } @Override @SuppressWarnings("deprecation") public Validator createValidator() throws JAXBException { throw new UnsupportedOperationException("Not supported yet."); } }; Unmarshaller unmarshaller = jc.createUnmarshaller(); m_ddsSettings = (com.ultra.DDSSettings)unmarshaller.unmarshal(new File(xmlfileName)); } catch (UnmarshalException ex) { Logger.getLogger(UniversalDomainParticipant.class.getName()).log( Level.SEVERE, null, ex); } catch (JAXBException ex) { Logger.getLogger(UniversalDomainParticipant.class.getName()).log( Level.SEVERE, null, ex); } So what is the proper way to do this validation? I was expecting there to be a validate() method on the JAXB generated classes, but I guess that would be too simple for Java.

  • Vaadin: Downloaded file has whole path as file name

    - by javydreamercsw
    I have a download action implemented on my Vaadin application but for some reason the downloaded file has the original file's full path as the file name. Any idea? You can see the code on this post. Edit: Here's the important part of the code: package com.bluecubs.xinco.core.server.vaadin; import com.bluecubs.xinco.core.server.XincoConfigSingletonServer; import com.vaadin.Application; import com.vaadin.terminal.DownloadStream; import com.vaadin.terminal.FileResource; import java.io.*; import java.net.URLEncoder; import java.util.UUID; import java.util.logging.Level; import java.util.logging.Logger; import java.util.zip.CRC32; import java.util.zip.CheckedInputStream; /** * * @author Javier A. • NfcAdapter.getDefaultAdapter(this) returns null in emulator

    - by DixieFlatline
    I am trying to test ForegroundDispatch (http://developer.android.com/resources/samples/ApiDemos/src/com/example/android/apis/nfc/ForegroundDispatch.html) in emulator API 10 (Android 2.3.3). When i call NfcAdapter.getDefaultAdapter(this), i get null. Why is this so? Code: public class ForegroundDispatch extends Activity { private NfcAdapter mAdapter; private PendingIntent mPendingIntent; private IntentFilter[] mFilters; private String[][] mTechLists; private TextView mText; private int mCount = 0; @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedState) { super.onCreate(savedState); setContentView(R.layout.foreground_dispatch); mText = (TextView) findViewById(R.id.text); mText.setText("Scan a tag"); mAdapter = NfcAdapter.getDefaultAdapter(this); // Create a generic PendingIntent that will be deliver to this activity. The NFC stack // will fill in the intent with the details of the discovered tag before delivering to // this activity. mPendingIntent = PendingIntent.getActivity(this, 0, new Intent(this, getClass()).addFlags(Intent.FLAG_ACTIVITY_SINGLE_TOP), 0); // Setup an intent filter for all MIME based dispatches IntentFilter ndef = new IntentFilter(NfcAdapter.ACTION_NDEF_DISCOVERED); try { ndef.addDataType("*/*"); } catch (MalformedMimeTypeException e) { throw new RuntimeException("fail", e); } mFilters = new IntentFilter[] { ndef, }; // Setup a tech list for all NfcF tags mTechLists = new String[][] { new String[] { NfcF.class.getName() } }; } @Override public void onResume() { super.onResume(); mAdapter.enableForegroundDispatch(this, mPendingIntent, mFilters, mTechLists); //CRASHES HERE BECAUSE mAdapter IS NULL } @Override public void onNewIntent(Intent intent) { Log.i("Foreground dispatch", "Discovered tag with intent: " + intent); mText.setText("Discovered tag " + ++mCount + " with intent: " + intent); } @Override public void onPause() { super.onPause(); mAdapter.disableForegroundDispatch(this); } } My manifest: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <manifest xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" package="com.neka.znacka" android:versionCode="1" android:versionName="1.0"> <uses-sdk android:minSdkVersion="10" /> <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.NFC"></uses-permission> <uses-feature android:name="android.hardware.nfc" android:required="true" /> <application android:icon="@drawable/icon" android:label="@string/app_name"> <activity android:name=".Uvodna" android:label="@string/app_name"> <intent-filter> <action android:name="android.intent.action.MAIN" /> <category android:name="android.intent.category.LAUNCHER" /> </intent-filter> </activity> <activity android:name="Simulator"> </activity> </application> Any ideas?

  • CSS Rollovers: how to maintain "hit area" size when hidden image is larger than anchor area

    - by nukefusion
    I have a small problem and I don't think what I want to do can be achieved with just pure CSS, but I figured I'd ask anyway. Basically, I have one DIV which contains a hyperlinked element that is smaller in size to it's parent DIV. So in effect I have a square within a square with the inner square being the "hit area". When I mouse over this inner square I want the background of the outer square to change. I know it's not possible to change the parent DIV's background on a:hover, but I figured I could give the illusion of it happening by nesting a hidden image inside the anchor. This works great until I want to "roll off". The problem is that I want the image to disappear when I leave the area of the anchor tag, not the larger hidden image. Is this possible? For the benefit of everyone I've provided an example to demonstrate what I mean: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta content="text/html; charset=utf-8" http-equiv="Content-Type" /> <title>Test Rollover</title> <link href="main.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> </head> <body> <div id="d1"> <a href="#nogo"> <b id="b1"></b> <b id="b2"></b> </a> </div> </body> And the css: #b1 { width: 200px; height: 200px; top: 100px; left: 100px; background-color:aqua; position: absolute; z-index: 100; } #b2 { width: 400px; height: 400px; background-color:lime; position: absolute; display: none; z-index: 90; } #d1 { width: 400px; height: 400px; background-color:fuchsia; position: relative; } #d1 a:hover #b2 { display: block; } In this example I want the green outer square to disappear when I leave the bounds of the hidden inner blue square.

  • mulformed Farsi characters on AWT

    - by jlover2010
    Hi As i started programming by jdk6, i had no problem in text components neither in awt nor in swing. But for labels or titles of awt components, yes : I couldn't have Farsi characters displayable on AWTs just as simple as Swing by typing them into the source code. lets check this SSCCE : import javax.swing.*; import java.awt.*; import java.io.*; import java.util.Properties; public class EmptyFarsiCharsOnAWT extends JFrame{ public EmptyFarsiCharsOnAWT() { super("????"); setDefaultCloseOperation(3); setVisible(rootPaneCheckingEnabled); } public static void main(String[] args) throws AWTException, IOException { JFrame jFrame = new EmptyFarsiCharsOnAWT(); MenuItem show ; // approach 1 = HardCoding : /* show = new MenuItem("\u0646\u0645\u0627\u06cc\u0634"); * */ // approach 2 = using simple utf-8 saved text file : /* BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(new FileReader("farsiLabels.txt")); String showLabel = in.readLine(); in.close(); show = new MenuItem(showLabel); * */ // approach 3 = using properties file : FileReader in = new FileReader("farsiLabels.properties"); Properties farsiLabels = new Properties(); farsiLabels.load(in); show = new MenuItem(farsiLabels.getProperty("tray.show")); PopupMenu popUp = new PopupMenu(); popUp.add(show); // creating Tray object Image iconIamge = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getImage("greenIcon.png"); TrayIcon trayIcon = new TrayIcon(iconIamge, null, popUp); SystemTray tray = SystemTray.getSystemTray(); tray.add(trayIcon); jFrame.setIconImage(iconIamge); } } Yes, i know each of three approaches in source code does right when you may test it from IDE , but if you make a JAR contains just this class (and its resources) by means of NetBeans project clean&build ,you won't see the expected characters and will just get EMPTY/BLANK SQUARES ! Unfortunately, opposed to other situations i encountered before, here there is no way to avoid using awt and make use of Swing in this case. And this was just an SSCCE i made to show the problem and my recent (also first) application suffers from this subject. And i think should have to let you know I posted this question a while ago in SDN and "the Java Ranch" forums and other native forums and still I'm watching... By the way i am using latest version of Netbeans IDE... I will be so grateful if anybody has a solution to this damn AWT components never rendered any Farsi character for me... Thanks in advance

  • NSMutableURLRequest and a Password with special Characters won't work

    - by twickl
    I'm writing a small program (using Cocoa Touch), which communicates with a webservice. The code for calling the webservice, is the following: - (IBAction)send:(id)sender { if ([number.text length] > 0) { [[UIApplication sharedApplication] beginIgnoringInteractionEvents]; [activityIndicator startAnimating]; NSString *modded; modded = [self computeNumber]; NSMutableURLRequest *theRequest = [NSMutableURLRequest requestWithURL: [NSURL URLWithString:@"https://tester:%=&[email protected]/RPC2"]]; [theRequest setHTTPMethod:@"POST"]; [theRequest addValue:@"text/xml" forHTTPHeaderField:@"content-type"]; [theRequest setCachePolicy:NSURLCacheStorageNotAllowed]; [theRequest setTimeoutInterval:5.0]; NSString* pStr = [[NSString alloc] initWithFormat:@"<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"UTF-8\"?><methodCall><methodName>samurai.SessionInitiate</methodName><params><param><value><struct><member><name>LocalUri</name><value><string></string></value></member><member><name>RemoteUri</name><value><string>sip:%@@sipgate.net</string></value></member><member><name>TOS</name><value><string>text</string></value></member><member><name>Content</name><value><string>%@</string></value></member><member><name>Schedule</name><value><string></string></value></member></struct></value></param></params></methodCall>", modded, TextView.text]; NSData* pBody = [pStr dataUsingEncoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding]; [theRequest setHTTPBody:pBody]; NSURLConnection *theConnection = [[NSURLConnection alloc] initWithRequest:theRequest delegate:self]; if (!theConnection) { UIAlertView *alert = [[UIAlertView alloc] initWithTitle:@"Error" message:@"A Connection could not be established!" delegate:nil cancelButtonTitle:@"OK" otherButtonTitles: nil]; [alert show]; [alert release]; sendButton.enabled = TRUE; return; } [pStr release]; [pBody release]; } } The Username and Password have to be in the URL, and it works in most cases, but when the password consists of special characters like in the example "%=&=-Test2009", the Webservice does not respond. If it is something like "Test2009" it works fine. Does anyone have an idea why, and maybe a solution for that?

  • HelloWebView Sample: now using SDK 3 and getting killed

    - by Tim
    Hey Folks, Well I was trying to get the HelloWebview example working with SDK 7 with no success (see HelloWebView Sample: java.lang.SecurityException: Permission Denial thread), so I decided just out of curiosity to back off to SDK3 to see if I could learn anything. I have been able to get all the "Layout" samples to work and decided to try something a little harder. Unfortunately, I still cannot get the simple HelloWebView app to run. I no longer get a Permission Denial but now the app is getting killed. Killed usually implies that there are not enough resources (memory etc.) for an application to run.... Any thoughts? Are there any other log files I can look at either on my computer or on the emulator? The main.xml, manifest, and console output are below. Let me know if you need more information. • CSS RGBA border / background alpha double

    - by stockli
    I'm working on a website that has a lot of transparency involved, and I thought I would try to build it entirely in RGBA and then do fallbacks for IE. I need a "facebox" style border effect, where the outer border is rounded and is less opaque than the background of the box it surrounds. The last example from http://24ways.org/2009/working-with-rgba-colour seems to suggest that it's possible, but I can't seem to get it to work. When I try the following: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"/> <title>RGBA Test</title> <style type='text/css'> body { background: #000; color: #fff; } #container { width: 700px; margin: 0 auto; background: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.2); border: 10px solid rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.1); padding: 20px; } </style> </head> <body> <div id='container'> This should look like a facebox. </div> </body></html> It seems like the background "extends" underneath the border of the element, which causes the pixel values to get added together. Thus, when both the background and the border are semi-transparent, the border will ALWAYS be more opaque than the background of the element. This is exactly the opposite of what I am trying to achieve, but it seems like it should be possible based on the examples I've seen. I should also add that I can't use another element inside the container, because I'm also going to use a border-radius on the container to get rounded corners, and webkit squares the corners of the child elements if they have a background assigned, which would essentially mean a rounded outer border with square contents. Sorry I can't post an image of this... Apparently I don't have enough rep to post an image.

  • Array values disappear in PHP SoapClient call to Cisco phone system.

    - by Jamin
    I am attempting to consume a SOAP service provided by our Cisco phone system (documentation), to get the current status of a given set of phones. I have an array of phone names, which I'm trying to pass to the service, however, the values of the array are being eaten somewhere Array of items like so: $items = array( 0 => "SEP0004F2E57F8C", 1 => "SEP001111BF8758", 2 => "SEP001320BD485C" ); Attempting to call the method: $client = new SoapClient( "https://x.x.x.x/realtimeservice/services/RisPort?wsdl", array( "login" => "admin", "password"=> "xxxxx", "trace" => true ) ); $devices = $client->SelectCmDevice( "", array( "SelectBy" => "Name", "Status" => "Any", "SelectedItems" => $items ) ); When I debug the complete request I get the following: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <SOAP-ENV:Envelope mlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:ns1="http://schemas.cisco.com/ast/soap/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:SOAP-ENC="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" SOAP-ENV:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"> <SOAP-ENV:Body> <ns1:SelectCmDevice> <StateInfo xsi:type="xsd:string"></StateInfo> <CmSelectionCriteria xsi:type="ns1:CmSelectionCriteria"> <MaxReturnedDevices xsi:nil="true"/> <Class xsi:nil="true"/> <Model xsi:nil="true"/> <Status xsi:type="xsd:string">Any</Status> <NodeName xsi:nil="true"/> <SelectBy xsi:type="xsd:string">Name</SelectBy> <SelectItems SOAP-ENC:arrayType="ns1:SelectItem[3]" xsi:type="ns1:SelectItems"> <item xsi:type="ns1:SelectItem"/> <item xsi:type="ns1:SelectItem"/> <item xsi:type="ns1:SelectItem"/> </SelectItems> </CmSelectionCriteria> </ns1:SelectCmDevice> </SOAP-ENV:Body> </SOAP-ENV:Envelope> The correct number of <Item elements were counted and inserted into the <SelectItems object, however, the actual item names themselves are gone. I would guess it needs to be <ItemSEP0004F2E57F8C</Item, etc., but I can't seem to figure out how to make it do that. Thank you in advance for any help!!!

  • Included php file calling Javascript function

    - by Illes Peter
    Hi there! Here's the deal. I've got index.php which links to an internal JS file in it's header. index.php then includes another .php file, which outputs this: + add file. addFile() is a Javascript function defined in the external JS file. By doing this nothing happens, the included php does not "see" the JS function. Encapsulating the JS in the included PHP makes it all work. But I don't want to do it that way. Any ideas? EDIT: here's the source <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.1//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml11/DTD/xhtml11.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <title>Archie</title> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"/> <link rel="stylesheet" href="/screen.css" type="text/css" media="screen"/> <script src="/lib/js/archie.js" type="text/javascript"></script> </head> <body> ... ... //included php starts here <form action="/lib/course.php" method="post"> <fieldset> <div id="addFileLocation"></div> <a href="#" onClick="addFile()">+ add file</a> <input type="hidden" id="addFileCount" value="0"/> </fieldset> </form> //ends here ... ... </body> </html> and the js: <script type="text/javascript"> //Dynamically add form fields //add file browser function addFile() { var location = document.getElementById('addFileLocation'); var num = document.getElementById('addFileCount'); var newnum = (document.getElementById('addFileCount').value -1)+ 2; num.value = newnum; var newname = 'addFile_'+newnum; var newelement = document.createElement('input'); newelement.setAttribute('name',newname); newelement.setAttribute('type','file'); location.appendChild(newelement); } </script>

  • The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request

    - by pravakar
    Hi, I am getting the following errors: "The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request" "Requested time out" sometimes when connecting to a host using a web service. If the XML returned is 5 kb then it is working fine, but if the size is 450kb or above it is displaying the error. Below is my code as well as the config file that resides at the client system. We don't have access to the settings of the server. • Hadoop in a RESTful Java Web Application - Conflicting URI templates

    - by user1231583
    I have a small Java Web Application in which I am using Jersey 1.12 and the Hadoop 1.0.0 JAR file (hadoop-core-1.0.0.jar). When I deploy my application to my JBoss 5.0 server, the log file records the following error: SEVERE: Conflicting URI templates. The URI template / for root resource class org.apache.hadoop.hdfs.server.namenode.web.resources.NamenodeWebHdfsMethods and the URI template / transform to the same regular expression (/.*)? To make sure my code is not the problem, I have created a fresh web application that contains nothing but the Jersey and Hadoop JAR files along with a small stub. My web.xml is as follows: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <web-app version="2.5" xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee/web-app_2_5.xsd"> <servlet> <servlet-name>ServletAdaptor</servlet-name> <servlet-class>com.sun.jersey.spi.container.servlet.ServletContainer</servlet- class> <load-on-startup>1</load-on-startup> </servlet> <servlet-mapping> <servlet-name>ServletAdaptor</servlet-name> <url-pattern>/mytest/*</url-pattern> </servlet-mapping> <session-config> <session-timeout> 30 </session-timeout> </session-config> <welcome-file-list> <welcome-file>index.jsp</welcome-file> </welcome-file-list> </web-app> My simple RESTful stub is as follows: import javax.ws.rs.core.Context; import javax.ws.rs.core.UriInfo; import javax.ws.rs.Path; @Path("/mytest") public class MyRest { @Context private UriInfo context; public MyRest() { } } In my regular application, when I remove the Hadoop JAR files (and the code that is using Hadoop), everything works as I would expect. The deployment is successful and the remaining RESTful services work. I have also tried the Hadoop 1.0.1 JAR files and have had the same problems with the conflicting URL template in the NamenodeWebHdfsMethods class. Any suggestions or tips in solving this problem would be greatly appreciated.

  • How can I read/write data from a file?

    - by samy
    I'm writing a simple chrome extension. I need to create the ability to add sites URLs to a list, or read from the list. I use the list to open the sites in the new tabs. I'm looking for a way to have a data file I can write to, and read from. I was thinking on XML. I read there is a problem changing the content of files with Javascript. Is XML the right choice for this kinda thing? I should add that there is no web server, and the app will run locally, so maybe the problem websites are having are not same as this. Before I wrote this question, I tried one thing, and started to feel insecure because it didn't work. I made a XML file called Site.xml: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <Sites> <site> <url> http://www.sulamacademy.com/AddMsgForum.asp?FType=273171&SBLang=0&WSUAccess=0&LocSBID=20375 </url> </site> <site> <url> http://www.wow.co.il </url> </site> <site> <url> http://www.Google.co.il </url> </site> I made this script to read the data from him, and put in on the html file. function LoadXML() { var ajaxObj = new XMLHttpRequest(); ajaxObj.open('GET', 'Sites.xml', false); ajaxObj.send(); var myXML = ajaxObj.responseXML; document.write('<table border="2">'); var prs = myXML.getElementsByTagName("site"); for (i = 0; i < prs.length; i++) { document.write("<tr><td>"); document.write(prs[i].getElementsByName("url")[0].childNode[0].nodeValue); document.write("</td></tr>"); } document.write("</table"); }

  • Correct way to make datasources/resources a deploy-time setting

    - by Draemon
    I have a web-app that requires two settings: A JDBC datasource A string token I desperately want to be able to deploy one .war to various different containers (jetty,tomcat,gf3 minimum) and configure these settings at application level within the container. My code does this: InitialContext ctx = new InitialContext(); Context envCtx = (javax.naming.Context) ctx.lookup("java:comp/env"); token = (String)envCtx.lookup("token"); ds = (DataSource)envCtx.lookup("jdbc/datasource") Let's assume I've used the glassfish management interface to create two jdbc resources: jdbc/test-datasource and jdbc/live-datasource which connect to different copies of the same schema, on different servers, different credentials etc. Say I want to deploy this to glassfish with and point it at the test datasource, I might have this in my sun-web.xml: ... <resource-ref> <res-ref-name>jdbc/datasource</res-ref-name> <jndi-name>jdbc/test-datasource</jndi-name> </resource-ref> ... but sun-web.xml goes inside my war, right? surely there must be a way to do this through the management interface Am I even trying to do the right thing? Do other containers make this any easier? I'd be particularly interested in how jetty 7 handles this since I use it for development. EDIT Tomcat has a reasonable way to do this: Create $TOMCAT_HOME/conf/Catalina/localhost/webapp.xml with: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <Context antiResourceLocking="false" privileged="true"> <!-- String resource --> <Environment name="token" value="value of token" type="java.lang.String" override="false" /> <!-- Linking to a global resource --> <ResourceLink name="jdbc/datasource1" global="jdbc/test" type="javax.sql.DataSource" /> <!-- Derby --> <Resource name="jdbc/datasource2" type="javax.sql.DataSource" auth="Container" driverClassName="org.apache.derby.jdbc.EmbeddedDataSource" url="jdbc:derby:test;create=true" /> <!-- H2 --> <Resource name="jdbc/datasource3" type="javax.sql.DataSource" auth="Container" driverClassName="org.h2.jdbcx.JdbcDataSource" url="jdbc:h2:~/test" username="sa" password="" /> </Context> Note that override="false" means the opposite. It means that this setting can't be overriden by web.xml. I like this approach because the file is part of the container configuration not the war, but it's not part of the global configuration; it's webapp specific. I guess I expect a bit more from glassfish since it is supposed to have a full web admin interface, but I would be happy enough with something equivalent to the above.

  • Wicket and Spring Intergation

    I have a wicket contact form, and i receive the form object. Now i need to pass this object to Spring Service. package com.mysticcoders.mysticpaste.web.pages; import org.apache.wicket.markup.html.WebPage; import org.apache.wicket.markup.html.form.Form; import org.apache.wicket.markup.html.form.TextField; import org.apache.wicket.markup.html.panel.FeedbackPanel; import com.mysticcoders.mysticpaste.model.Contact; import org.apache.wicket.model.CompoundPropertyModel; import com.mysticcoders.mysticpaste.services.IContact; public class FormPage extends WebPage { private Contact contact; private IContact icontact; public FormPage() { // Add a FeedbackPanel for displaying our messages FeedbackPanel feedbackPanel = new FeedbackPanel("feedback"); add(feedbackPanel); Form<Object> form = new Form<Object>("contactForm", new CompoundPropertyModel<Object>(contact)) { private static final long serialVersionUID = 1L; protected void onSubmit(Contact contact) { icontact.saveContact(contact); } }; form.add(new TextField<Object>("name")); form.add(new TextField<Object>("email")); form.add(new TextField<Object>("country")); form.add(new TextField<Object>("age")); add(form); // add a simple text field that uses Input's 'text' property. My Application-context.xml <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <beans xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:tx="http://www.springframework.org/schema/tx" xsi:schemaLocation=" http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans/spring-beans-2.5.xsd http://www.springframework.org/schema/tx http://www.springframework.org/schema/tx/spring-tx-2.5.xsd"> <bean id="WicketApplication" class="com.mysticcoders.mysticpaste.web.pages.WicketApplication" /> </beans> My Question is simple. What should i do which can make my onSubmit method call the Spring Service? Could someone let me know what needs to modified in my Application-context.xml so that once the form gets submitted, it contacts the Spring Service class.
