• How can I create a copy of a vm in vSphere Client running on ESXi 4.0?

  I'd like to create copies of the VMs located on my datastore that I can put up temporarily on a different server while I perform some maintenance on our main virtualization server. Aside from using the Converter utility (which I don't believe I can use with the Linux machines) is there a way to make copies of these machines? It would make my life a lot easier. Thank!

  I don't want for my current ModifeidDateTime to be machine time already server time. Every time I want to update or add a person to my datebase on SQL Server 2008 I want to fill ModifiedDateTime filed. It's not like I can change update query as with data adapter command when I work with dataset and to define for my ModifiedDateTime filed to be =GetDate(). I created stored function to retutn me a value of GetDate() method, but I have a problem to import procedure which returns values as int, string ... or no value at all, already just entity values as Person for example in my case. Why is that? Anyway, It would be of great help if you can provide me any solution that works to retrieve DateTime value from server.

• Issue on passing a checkbox set to an AppEngine script through jQuery Ajax/Json

  I have a set of checkboxes with multiple choice allowed. I parse the set this way: if ($("input[name='route_day']:checked").length > 0) { $("input[name='route_day']:checked").each(function(){ if(this.value != null) route_days_hook.push(this.value); }); dataTrap.route_days = $.JSON.encode(route_days_hook); } ...and pull the whole dataTrap to an AppEngine Python script via jQuery ajax. However, the Python script just bugs. If i change dataTrap.route_days value to a string instead of the JSON encoded object, everything works fine. My question is: how can i pass a checkbox set to the script using Ajax and still be able to iterate over it on the script?

• How do I get property injection working in Ninject for a ValidationAttribute in MVC?

  I have a validation attribute set up where I need to hit the database to accomplish the validation. I tried setting up property injection the same way I do elsewhere in the project but it's not working. In the anonymous type returned GroupCategory is a string, and Categories are an Enumerable - what is the proper way to declare this instead of using 'var'? • Change Logon DPI setting in Windows 8.1

  I love how M$ keeps making decisions for me about how I want my desktop to look. Now they have added per-user dpi settings. The problem this has created is that there is no adjustable dpi setting for the Lock/Logon screen. Let me explain. you can change the dpi setting to be the same across all displays and this does affect the icons and font on the lock/logon screen. However it does not affect any app/program that can run on the lock/logon screen. Ex. I use a 44" flat screen tv for my monitor on my desktop. Big enough for me to sit in my recliner and use my comp. But I don't have a wireless keyboard. And it sucks having the wire from the keyboard running across the floor. Plus I really don't want to keep a keyboard next to me. So I use the on screen keyboard for logging in and quick typing (search, web address, etc.) So the problem is that with the new dpi setup my on screen keyboard takes up nearly half the screen. Does M$ think we are all blind? Oh no I remember they think desktops should look like tablets and phones. I tried looking through the registry to see if I could find a setting for it. In the key HKEY_USERS.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop there is a string value named "LogicalDPIOverride" with a value of -1. I have a feeling this is where I can fix the issue. I tried changing the value to 0 and to 1 with no change in the result. Instead I noticed that after logging out and back in the -1 value was back in the registry. So now M$ has also added a way for us to not be able to change a setting in the registry. They are making it harder and harder for us power users to be able to do anything with the settings in windows. Soon we will all have the same exact Windows with absolutely no customization. ok sorry for the quick rant. The real question here is. How can I change this defualt dpi crap? Can I use the LogPixels string that worked for dpi in Windows 7? I know I can change the value of i by using *iPtr, but how can I change the value of the object being pointed to by jPtr? How will changing the object being pointed to by jPtr affect the value of the object pointed to by iPtr, and i ?

• Get positions for NAs only in the "middle" of a matrix column

  I want to obtain an index that refers to the positions of NA values in a matrix where the index is true if a given cell is NA and there is at least one non-NA value before and after it in the column. For example, given the following matrix [,1] [,2] [,3] [,4] [1,] NA 1 NA 1 [2,] 1 NA NA 2 [3,] NA 2 NA 3 the only value of the index that comes back TRUE should be [2,2]. Is there a compact expression for what I want to do? If I had to I could loop through columns and use something like min(which(!is.na(x[,i]))) to find the first non-NA value in each column, and then set all values before that to FALSE (and the same for all values after the max). This way I would not select leading and trailing NA values. But this seems a bit messy, so I'm wondering if there is a cleaner expression that does this without loops.

  Hi, there I'm writing a program that has to get values from a file. In the file each line indicates an entity. Each entity has three values. For example: Value1 Value2 value3 I have a regular expresion to match them m/(.*?) (.*?) (.*?)/m; But it seems that the third value in never matched! The only way to match the third value is to add another value in the file and another "matching brackets" in the expresion. But this does not satisfy me. Thanks in Advance!

  I have this query in MySQL: SELECT pr.*, pr7.value AS `room_price_high` FROM `jos_hp_properties` pr LEFT OUTER JOIN `jos_hp_properties2` pr7 ON pr7.property=pr.id WHERE pr7.field=23 The jos_hp_properties table has 27 rows but the query only returns one. Based on this question I think it may be because of the WHERE clause. The jos_hp_properties2 table has fields id, property, field, value, where field is a foreign key to a third table (which I don't need to get data from). Is there a way to select all the rows from the first table, including the value from table #2 where the field is 23 (or NULL if there is no field 23)?

  Is there a way of using a templated helper in mvc so that each and every select list in my project has a custom default 'Choose an option' with null value etc. The posts I have seen seem a little complex, is it possible to have a DropDownList.ascx file in shared view folder with something like this: <%@ Control Language="C#" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewUserControl<IEnumerable<SelectListItem>>" %> <%= Html.DropDownList(selectlist name, selectlist value, "Choose an option")%> And then having a UIHint("DropDownList") for each dropdownlist in the ViewModel?   I'm trying to modify the HTML of the dialog boxes in CKEditor. The HTML inside each of those boxes is an absolute nightmare, and even worse, the source code is compressed and it's unclear what the path of execution is. • Problem with access to control properties in Multibox

  I used multibox-component to create lightbox-similar div. But I faced problem. I placed textbox with id ‘tbx_position’ in that div. I entered some symbols in textbox and then tried to read value via javascript-function (it had to alert document.getElementById(‘tbx_position’).value). Every time that value was empty. There is example of it. Furthermore, if I place in the div asp:Button, server OnClick-eventhandler doesn’t catch fire. Is any idea, what’s reason? Thanks.

  Unless a class specifically overrides the behavior defined for Object, ReferenceEquals and == do the same thing... compare references. In property setters, I have commonly used the pattern private MyType myProperty; public MyType MyProperty { set { if (myProperty != value) { myProperty = value; // Do stuff like NotifyPropertyChanged } } } However, in code generated by Entity Framework, the if statement is replaced by if (!ReferenceEquals(myProperty, value)) Using ReferenceEquals is more explicit (as I guess not all C# programmers know that == does the same thing if not overridden). Is there any difference that's escaping me between the two if-variants? Are they perhaps accounting for the possibility that POCO designers may have overridden ==? In short, if I have not overridden ==, am I save using != instead of ReferencEquals()?

The real data here is that "Offshore" has an id of "41393". From the Telerik code I get the span-element with class"t-in", but I'm unable to get the ID-value from it. How can I use jQuery to find the value of the hidden input type?

Then after spliting values each value I get contains extra space character after each character in String. Suppose value in file is like "ABC" and I got this after reading from CSV file reader as " A B C " . I used removeAll("\s+","") on each value even after it is not working. Thank You in Advance.

• Eliminating matching values in a SQL result set

  I have a table with a list of transactions (invoices and credits) and I need to get a list of all the rows where the invoices and credits don't match up. eg user product value bill ThingA 200 jim ThingA -200 sue ThingB 100 liz ThingC 50 I only want to see the third and fourth rows, as the values of the others match off. I can do this if I select product, sum(value) ... group by product having sum(value) < 0 which works well, but I want to return the user name as well. As soon as I add the user to the select, I need to group by it as well, which messes it up as the amounts don't match up by user AND product. Any ideas ? I am using MS SQL 2000... Cheers

Right now, my script run through a for loop echoing each value to the standard output: for value in ${values[@]} do echo $value done Yeah, that's pretty ugly! And the one column listing is pretty long too... I was wondering if i can find a command or builtin helping me to display all those values in columns, like the ls command does by default when listing a directory (ls -C).
