    Hi, Should be a simple one. Database is mydb. One of the columns is mydata. What SELECT query do I need in order to select the top 3 occuring results from mydata, but sorted alphabetically? For example, if my data is this: mydata ====== kilo (x 1 occurrence) lima (x 9 occurrences) golf (x 5 occurrences) echo (x 9 occurrences) zulu (x 8 occurrences) How do I get it to return "echo, lima, zulu", which are the top three frequently occurring entries sorted alphabetically?     I'm using Grid view in my asp.net page and I'm fetching data from SQL Server and placing in my grid view. Now my problem is, I'm using paging and placing 50 rows per page in Grid view. I would like to fetch top 50 rows from database in the start up and bind to the Grid View and when i click on next page, then again go to the database and fetch Second Top 50 rows and bind to GV. and this process hasto continue until last row is fetched from Database. Can you tell me How to write Query in achieving this??

    I wrote a simple test project, but I cant understand why I always receive savedInstanceState = null in lifecycle methods onCreate, onCreateView and onActivityCreated. I change the screen orientation, see the log, but state not saved. Tell me please where is my mistake. Thanks.   • How to draw to screen in c++ ?

    How would I draw something on the screen ? not the console window but the entire screen, preferably with the console minimised. Also, would it show up on a printscreen ? What I want to do is create something like a layer on top of the screen that only me and my aplication are aware of yet still be able to use aplications as usual. Here's an example: Let's say I want 2 yellow squares 5 by 5 pixels in size appearing in the center of the screen on top of all the other applications, unclickable and invisible to a printscreen.

    Like the title states, does anyone out there have a clear way to implement this type of functionality? Example: If you go to http://weewar.com, in their front page you noticed an ajax module that updates every second. However, all of the new items are added to the top of the list. My question is around that very same functionality. Does anyone have an easy and clear idea as to how one would implement this functionality? So far I have a method that initially creates the list, then another method is called in an interval that pulls the most recent data from the server.. However, I'm stuck with, how can I add the new dynamic node to the top of the list. If you can guide me to where I can find this information or give me an idea as to how I can implement this I will be very happy and grateful :) Thanks in advanced.

  • 3 div independently relative and top aligned

    I have 3 div top aligned that should be relative to a previous div (not between them so i can't use floats or position:inline-block either). If you set display:none on 2 divs the last one shouldn't move. I can't use position:absolute because there's a relative footer underneath. I tried using a wrapper but it can't work cause the height of the divs is not fixed. The height of the wrapper gets completely ignored anyway (by the following footer) unless Im using relative children. vertical-align:top doesn't work either. Any ideas?

I am using Action Bar with the help of "import android.support.v7.app.ActionBar; import android.support.v7.app.ActionBarActivity;" Now issue is same menu appearing two times. one is at top and second is at bottom.     The C++ standard mandates that all conforming implementations support the following two signatures for main: int main(); int main(int, char*[]); In case of the latter signature, would the addition of (top-level) const-ness break any language rules? For example: int main(const int argc, char** const argv); From my understanding, top-level const qualification doesn't affect the function's signature hash, so it should be legal as far as the specification is concerned. Also, did anyone ever encounter an implementation which rejected this type of modification?

  • Moving UITableView row to top of list when selected

    I am sure this is an easy thing to do. I am very new to objective C (picked up a job the boss was going to outsource) and could use all the help I can get. Just point me in the right direction here. Basically what I want to set up is this: I have a list of phone numbers that expands to as many rows as needed. I have no problem populating and the list works fine, but I would like for all of the recently selected items in the list to be more easily accessible at the top. So, whenever the user "didSelectRowAtIndexPath", I would like the row to move to the top. I just KNOW this is super simple... but I haven't found the solution yet. No hurry. I am just trying to figure things out on my own. Thanks in advance!

  • Wordpress meta data is written on top of page instead of the loop

    i'm building a wordpress webpage based on the Skeleton Wordpress theme. I have 2 posts showing on a page and each of these posts have custom fields values (meta data). Im using the shortcode from the skeleton theme to get a post-feed from a specific category and in that loop i have inserted this tag that displays the custom fields data <?php the_meta(); ?> I am getting the data - but the problem is, the data is shown on TOP of the page instead of inside the in the post. What could've ive possibly done wrong? or is it something with skeleton i am doing wrong?   • how to make flash page scroll to top?

    I have an AS2 site where all the pages are different lenghts and have navigation at the top and the bottom. When you click on the bottom navigation on one of the longer pages in order to get to another shorter page, you land on the same place where the bottom navigation was on the page before; ie you land at the bottom of the page. How can I get around this so that every time you land on a new page it has scrolled to the top? Thanks!!

    I'm having an issue reading byte in file after performing lseek long cur_position = lseek(fd, length * -1, SEEK_CUR ); // Rewind file reading by length bytes. printf("cur_position: %i\n", cur_position); int num_byte = read(fd, &byte, 1); printf("num_byte = %i\n", num_byte); With the initial variable length set to 34, the above code would produce cur_position 5 (so there are definitely at least 34 bytes after the lseek function returns), but the variable num_byte returned from function read always returns 0 even though there are still more bytes to read. Does anyone know the reason num_byte always return 0 or do I make mistake in the above code? Just for information, the above code was run on the following machine $ uname -srvpio Linux 3.2.0-24-generic #39-Ubuntu SMP Mon May 21 16:52:17 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

  • Button top increase with multiple lines

    Some very very strange behaviour was appearing in my Android application. I was extending Button to replace the standard. In my own button I set: - TextAppearence (text 16px, bold..) - BackgroundDrawable (to an selector that replaced the standard button, that used images of 60px) - Gravity: LEFT|CENTER_VERTICAL. Whenever the text was enough to make the button have 2 text lines, if it had the property Gravity.CENTER_VERTICAL, a top padding would appear! This kept me overflowing and googling for weeks... (set paddingTop, singleLine, and other simple solutions didn't work of course!) Finally got the solution!!! @Override protected boolean setFrame(int l, int t, int r, int b) { int fixedTopSize = 5; return super.setFrame(l,fixedTopSize, r, b-t); } By overriding this method on the extended Button finally i got it to work without the irritating top padding... still i don't understand why this happens. Any ideia?

  • HTML: Place an image on top of another one

    Inside a div, there is a picture that should have 10px margin in all directions from the DIV's border. On the left bottom corner of the picture there is an about-image. The picture is only displayed when its loaded in the DOM through jquery. The problem is that the existence of the about-image dislocates the picture downwards as many pixels as the height of the about-image. I am looking for the cleanest possible alternative to keep the picture inside the DIV and still display the about-image on top of it. Setting the picture as background will not work since i need the picture to load at once. Any improvement on the #about css would be greatly appreciated.
