  • jQuery tabs - multiple sets on on page

    - by Jonny Wood
    This is kind of a follow on from a previous question I posted but I've not been able to get it to work.. I'm trying to use multiple sets of tabs (jQuery) on one page. This is the code I had for one set of tabs which works great: $('div.tabs div.tab').hide(); $('div.tabs div:first').show(); $('div.tabs ul.htabs li:first a').addClass('current'); $('div.tabs ul.htabs li a').click(function(){ $('div.tabs ul.htabs li a').removeClass('current'); $(this).addClass('current'); var currentTab = $(this).attr('href'); $('div.tabs div.tab').hide(); $(currentTab).show(); return false; }); To use more than one set on the page I assigned #id's to each tab-set and tried to impliment this with: $.each(['#tabs-1', '#tabs-2', '#tabs-3' ], function(id) { $(id + 'div.tab').hide(); $(id + 'div:first').show(); $(id + 'ul.htabs li:first a').addClass('current'); $(id + 'ul.htabs li a').click(function(){ $(id + 'ul.htabs li a').removeClass('current'); $(this).addClass('current'); var currentTab = $(this).attr('href'); $(id + 'div.tab').hide(); $(currentTab).show(); return false; }); }); Obviously I'm doing something wrong here but as a jQuery newcomer I'm stumped!

  • [jscript] Good (better) substition for setInterval or setTimeout

    - by riffnl
    I've got a masterpage with some nice UI (jQuery) features. One of these options is interefering with my embedded YouTube (or other alike-) objects. On each, in this case, setInterval event the embedded video stops displaying new frames (for like a second). More detail: I've got a "polaroid" gallery (in the header) with only 5 100x100 images in it (test: preloading has no effect on performance) and my gallery will show or hide them (fade-in / fade-out) after a period of time. (test: non-animated display:hide or display:block has no effect on performance). After some testing and I've come to the conclusion that it isn't the "animated" showing or hiding of the pictures, but it's the interval itself (- since altering to display:hide or block had the same result). Perhaps it is my "gallery" "function" on itself ... function poladroid() { if (!galleryHasFocus) { if (galleryMax >= 0) { galleryCurrent++; if (galleryCurrent > galleryMax) { galleryCurrent = 0; showPictures = !showPictures; } if (showPictures) { $('#pic-' + galleryCurrent.toString()).show("slow"); } else { $('#pic-' + galleryCurrent.toString()).hide("slow"); } } } if (!intervalSet) { window.setInterval("poladroid()", 3000); intervalSet = true; } } It's not like my function is doing really awkward stuff is it? So, I was thinking I needed a more "loose" interval function.. but is there an option for it?

  • jQuery Accordian

    - by Fuego DeBassi
    Just wondering if anyone can provide some basic advice on an accordion I'm trying to simplify. Got a working version, but it seems way overly complex. Here is my new JS. $(document).ready(function() { $("#themes li ul").hide(); $("#themes li").hover(function() { $("ul").show(); }, function() { $("li ul").hide(); }); The markup looks like this: <ul> <li>Tier 1 <ul> <li>Tier 2</li> <li>Tier 2</li> </ul> </li> <li>Tier 1 <ul> <li>Tier 2</li> <li>Tier 2</li> </ul> </li> </ul> My script works alright. But it shows all of the child ul's when any parent li is hovered, and it hide's all the child ul's when unhovered. Just not sure how I can get it to A.) Only .show the li ul when that specific li is hovered. And B.) Hide the show'n li ul only when another one is hovered (not itself). Example + explanation would be especially helpful! Thanks!!

  • Toggle two divs and classes

    - by kuswantin
    I have two links with classes (login-form and register-form) relevant to their target forms ID, they want to toggle. I have also a predefined 'slideToggle' function to toggle better. This is what I have tried so far: $('#userbar a').click(function() { var c = $(this).attr('class'); $('#userbar a').removeClass('active'); $(this).toggleClass('active'); $('#register-form,#login-form').hide(); //bad, causing flashy $('#' + c).slideToggle('slow'); return false; }); With this I have trouble with the flashy window, and to correctly toggle the active classes when another link is clicked, the other link should not have active class anymore. Additional problem is the link is dead on serial clicks. I have another try, longer one: $('#userbar a').click(function() { var c = $(this).attr('class'); switch (c) { case 'login-form': $('#' + c).slideToggle('slow'); $(this).toggleClass('active'); $('#register-form').hide(); break; case 'register-form': $('#' + c).slideToggle('slow'); $(this).toggleClass('active'); $('#login-form').hide(); break; } return false; }); This one is worse than the first :( Any suggestion to correct the behavior? What I want is when a link with class login-form is click, so toggle the form with ID login-form, and hide the register-form if open. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

  • Is there a standard syntax for encoding structure objects as HTTP GET request parameters?

    - by lexicore
    Imagine we need to pass a a number structured objects to the web application - for instance, locale, layout settings and a definition of some query. This can be easily done with JSON or XML similar to the following fragment: <Locale>en</Locale> <Layout> <Block id="header">hide</Block> <Block id="footer">hide</Block> <Block id="navigation">minimize</Block> </Layout> <Query> <What>water</What> <When> <Start>2010-01-01</Start> </When> </Query> However, passing such structures with HTTP implies (roughly speaking) HTTP POST. Now assume we're limited to HTTP GET. Is there some kind of a standard solution for encoding structured data in HTTP GET request parameters? I can easily imagine something like: Locale=en& Layout.Block.header=hide& Layout.Block.footer=hide& Layout.Block.navigation=minimize& Query.What=water& Query.When.Start=2010-01-01 But what I'm looking for is a "standard" syntax, if there's any. ps. I'm surely aware of the problem with URL length. Please assume that it's not a problem in this case.

  • jQuery removing elements from DOM put still reporting as present

    - by RyanP13
    Hi, I have an address finder system whereby a user enters a postcode, if postcode is validated then an address list is returned and displayed, they then select an address line, the list dissappears and then the address line is split further into some form inputs. The issue i am facing is when they have been through the above process then cleared the postcode form field, hit the find address button and the address list re-appears. Event though the list and parent tr have been removed from the DOM it is still reporting it is present as length 1? My code is as follows: jQuery // when postcode validated display box var $addressList = $("div#selectAddress > ul").length; // if address list present show the address list if ($addressList != 0) { $("div#selectAddress").closest("tr").removeClass("hide"); } // address list hidden by default // if coming back to modify details then display address inputs var $customerAddress = $("form#detailsForm input[name*='customerAddress']"); var $addressInputs = $.cookies.get('cpqbAddressInputs'); if ($addressInputs) { if ($addressInputs == 'visible') { $($customerAddress).closest("tr").removeClass("hide"); } } else { $($customerAddress).closest("tr").addClass("hide"); } // Need to change form action URL to call post code web service $("input.findAddress").live('click', function(){ var $postCode = encodeURI($("input#customerPostcode").val()); if ($postCode != "") { var $formAction = "customerAction.do?searchAddress=searchAddress&custpc=" + $postCode; $("form#detailsForm").attr("action", $formAction); } else { alert($addressList);} }); // darker highlight when li is clicked // split address string into corresponding inputs $("div#selectAddress ul li").live('click', function(){ $(this).removeClass("addressHover"); //$("li.addressClick").removeClass("addressClick"); $(this).addClass("addressClick"); var $splitAddress = $(this).text().split(","); $($customerAddress).each(function(){ var $inputCount = $(this).index("form#detailsForm input[name*='customerAddress']"); $(this).val($splitAddress[$inputCount]); }); $($customerAddress).closest("tr").removeClass("hide"); $.cookies.set('cpqbAddressInputs', 'visible'); $(this).closest("tr").fadeOut(250, function() { $(this).remove(); }); });

  • JQuery Tabbed Nav Menu and PHP Forms Question?

    - by SlAcKeR
    I'm using a JQuery Tabbed Menu which holds different types of forms and when I select a different form located under a different tab and submit the form the tab will jump to the default tab instead of the current tab the form is located in. I was wondering how would I go about fixing this so that when the form is submitted the current tab is still selected, is it the JQuery or PHP problem? Here is the JQuery. $(document).ready(function() { //When page loads... $(".form-content").hide(); //Hide all content var firstMenu = $("#home-menu ul li:first"); firstMenu.show(); firstMenu.find("a").addClass("selected-link"); //Activate first tab $(".form-content:first").show(); //Show first tab content //On Click Event $("#home-menu ul li").click(function() { $("#home-menu ul li a").removeClass("selected-link"); //Remove any "selected-link" class $(this).find("a").addClass("selected-link"); //Add "selected-link" class to selected tab $(".form-content").hide(); //Hide all tab content var activeTab = $(this).find("a").attr("href"); //Find the href attribute value to identify the selected-link tab + content $(activeTab).fadeIn(); //Fade in the selected-link ID content return false; }); });

  • Load PHP function with jQuery Ajax

    - by brandon14_99
    I have a file which is loaded at the top of my document, which is called Videos.php. Inside that file are several functions, such as getYoutubeVideos. On some pages, I need to call upon that function several times (up to 50), and it of course creates major lag on load times. So I have been trying to figure out how to call that function in, only when it is need (when someone clicks the show videos button). I have very little experience with jQuery's ajax abilities. I would like the ajax call to be made inside of something like this: jQuery('a[rel=VideoPreview1).click(function(){ jQuery ("a[rel=VideoPreview1]").hide(); jQuery ("a[rel=HideVideoPreview1]").show(); jQuery ("#VideoPreview1").show(); //AJAX STUFF HERE preventDefault(); }); Ok I have created this based on the responses, but it is still not working: jQuery Code: jQuery(document).ready(function(){ jQuery("a[rel=VideoPreview5]").click(function(){ jQuery("a[rel=VideoPreview5]").hide(); jQuery("a[rel=HideVideoPreview5]").show(); jQuery.post("/Classes/Video.php", {action: "getYoutubeVideos", artist: "Train", track: "Hey, Soul Sister"}, function(data){ jQuery("#VideoPreview5").html(data); }, 'json'); jQuery("#VideoPreview5").show(); preventDefault(); }); jQuery("a[rel=HideVideoPreview5]").click(function(){ jQuery("a[rel=VideoPreview5]").show(); jQuery("a[rel=HideVideoPreview5]").hide(); jQuery("#VideoPreview5").hide(); preventDefault(); }); }); And the PHP code: $Action = isset($_POST['action']); $Artist = isset($_POST['artist']); $Track = isset($_POST['track']); if($Action == 'getYoutubeVideos') { echo 'where are the videos'; echo json_encode(getYoutubeVideos($Artist.' '.$Track, 1, 5, 'relevance')); }

  • How To Call Javascript In Ajax Response? IE: Close a form div upon success...

    - by B.Gordon
    I have a form that when you submit it, it sends the data for validation to another php script via ajax. Validation errors are echo'd back in a div in my form. A success message also is returned if validation passes. The problem is that the form is still displayed after submit and successful validation. I want to hid the div after success. So, I wrote this simple CSS method which works fine when called from the page the form is displayed on. The problem is that I cannot seem to call the hide script via returned code. I can return html like echo "<p>Thanks, your form passed validation and is being sent</p>"; So I assumed I could simply echo another line after that echo "window.onload=displayDiv()"; inside script tags (which I cannot get to display here)... and that it would hide the form div. It does not work. I am assuming that the problem is that the javascript is being returned incorrectly and not being interpreted by the browser... How can I invoke my 'hide' script on the page via returned data from my validation script? I can echo back text but the script call is ineffective. Thanks! This is the script on the page with the form... I can call it to show/hide with something like onclick="displayDiv()" while on the form but I don't want the user to invoke this... it has be called as the result of a successful validation when I write the results back to the div... function displayDiv() { var divstyle = new String(); divstyle = document.getElementById("myForm").style.display; if(divstyle.toLowerCase()=="block" || divstyle == "") { document.getElementById("myForm").style.display = "none"; } else { document.getElementById("myForm").style.display = "block"; } } PS: I am using the mootools.js library for the form validation if this matters for the syntax..

  • tabs using jquery

    - by sea_1987
    I currently have a tabbed system in place, however it not doing exactly as I need it too, I was hoping that by navigating to the URL with #tab2 suffixed on then end it would navigate to my tabbed page and the tab that is present in the URL would be the one that is active, however the first tab in the sequence is always active, is there a way to check what is being passed in the URL first and if there is #tabid present then make that tab the current tab? My javascript currently looks like this, $(".tab_content").hide(); //Hide all content $("ul.tabNavigation li.shortlist").addClass("active").show(); //Activate first tab (in this case second because of floats) $(".tab_content#shortlist").show(); //Show first tab content //On Click Event $("ul.tabNavigation li").click(function() { $("ul.tabNavigation li").removeClass("active"); //Remove any "active" class $(this).addClass("active"); //Add "active" class to selected tab $(".tab_content").hide(); //Hide all tab content var activeTab = $(this).find("a").attr("href"); //Find the href attribute value to identify the active tab + content $(activeTab).fadeIn(); //Fade in the active ID content return false; });

  • Is there a more elegant solution than an if-statement with no else clause?

    - by Jay
    In the following code, if Control (the element that trigers Toggle's first OL) is not Visible it should be set Visible and all other Controls (Controls[i]) so be Hidden. .js function Toggle(Control){ var Controls=document.getElementsByTagName("ol",document.getElementById("Quote_App")); var Control=Control.getElementsByTagName("ol")[0]; if(Control.style.visibility!="visible"){ for(var i=0;i<Controls.length;i++){ if(Controls[i]!=Control){ Reveal("hide",20,0.3,Controls[i]); }else{ Reveal("show",20,0.3,Control); }; }; }else{ Reveal("hide",20,0.3,Control); }; }; Although the function [Toggle] works fine, it is actually setting Controls[i] to Hidden even if it is already. This is easily rectified by adding an If statement as in the code below, surely there is a more elegant solution, maybe a complex If condition? .js function Toggle(Control){ var Controls=document.getElementsByTagName("ol",document.getElementById("Quote_App")); var Control=Control.getElementsByTagName("ol")[0]; if(Control.style.visibility!="visible"){ for(var i=0;i<Controls.length;i++){ if(Controls[i]!=Control){ if(Controls[i].style.visibility=="visible"){ Reveal("hide",20,0.3,Controls[i]); }; }else{ Reveal("show",20,0.3,Control); }; }; }else{ Reveal("hide",20,0.3,Control); }; }; Your help is appreciated always.

  • jQuery AJAX tabs + PHP

    - by ufw
    Hi, seems like I'm stuck with jQuery tabs. I'm trying to pass selected tab name to some php script but is seems like it doesn't get any data. This is how tabs normally work without any response from server side: http://pastebin.com/KBxj7p5k And this is how I try to pass the the current tab name to the server: $(document).ready(function() { $('ul.tabs li').css('cursor', 'pointer'); $('ul.tabs.tabs1 li').click(function(){ var thisClass = this.className.slice(0,2); $('div.t1').hide(); $('div.t2').hide(); $('div.t3').hide(); $('div.t4').hide(); $('div.' + thisClass).show('fast'); $('ul.tabs.tabs1 li').removeClass('tab-current'); $(this).addClass('tab-current'); var name = thisClass; var data = 'name='+name; $.ajax ({ type:"GET", url:"handler.php", data:data, success:function(html) { thisClass.html(html); } }); }); Thanks.

However, when I click the button, it does not call the function specified in the onclick parameter, and so nothing happens. • jQuery script works in Firefox but not in IE. Why am I not surprised?

    I'm working with the context of a CMS system and trying to turn seperate div's into tabs. You can see it at http://www.wtvynews4.com/test I've kludged together some code from a tutorial site. <script charset="utf-8" type="text/javascript"> jQuery(function() { //When page loads... $("div[ondblclick$='87119417']").attr("id", "87119417"); $("div[ondblclick$='87119482']").attr("id", "87119482"); $("div[ondblclick$='87119672']").attr("id", "87119672"); $("div[ondblclick$='87119727']").attr("id", "87119727"); $("div[ondblclick$='87119812']").attr("id", "87119812"); $("div[ondblclick$='87119417']").addClass("tab_content"); $("div[ondblclick$='87119482']").addClass("tab_content"); $("div[ondblclick$='87119672']").addClass("tab_content"); $("div[ondblclick$='87119727']").addClass("tab_content"); $("div[ondblclick$='87119812']").addClass("tab_content"); $(".tab_content").hide(); //Hide all content $("ul.morenewstabs li:first").addClass("active").show(); //Activate first tab $(".tab_content:first").show(); //Show first tab content //On Click Event $("ul.morenewstabs li").click(function() { $("ul.morenewstabs li").removeClass("active"); //Remove any "active" class $(this).addClass("active"); //Add "active" class to selected tab $(".tab_content").hide(); //Hide all tab content var activeTab = $(this).find("a").attr("href"); //Find the href attribute value to identify the active tab + content $(activeTab).show(); //Fade in the active ID content return false; }); }); </script> Everything works fine in Firefox but not IE. can you provide any assistance? When the page loads the attribute ID's and classes aren't assigned. I tried changing jQuery(function() { to $(document).ready(function() still no luck.

  • Where do I control the behavior of the "X" close button in the upper right of a winform?

    - by John at CashCommons
    I'm venturing into making my VB.NET application a little better to use by making some of the forms modeless. I think I've figured out how to use dlg.Show() and dlg.Hide() instead of calling dlg.ShowDialog(). I have an instance of my modeless dialog in my main application form: Public theModelessDialog As New dlgModeless To fire up the modeless dialog I call theModelessDialog.Show() and within the OK and Cancel button handlers in dlgModeless I have Private Sub OK_Button_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles OK_Button.Click Me.DialogResult = System.Windows.Forms.DialogResult.OK Me.Hide() End Sub Private Sub Cancel_Button_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Cancel_Button.Click Me.DialogResult = System.Windows.Forms.DialogResult.Cancel Me.Hide() End Sub and that seems to work fine. The "X" button in the upper right is getting me, though. When I close the form with that button, then try to reopen the form, I get ObjectDisposedException was unhandled. Cannot access a disposed object. I feel like I'm most of the way there but I can't figure out how to do either of the following: Hide that "X" button Catch the event so I don't dispose of the object (just treat it like I hit Cancel) Any ideas? The class of this dialog is System.Windows.Forms.Form. Thanks as always!

  • Selecting rows with references across tables in SQLite 3

    - by ChristianK
    Hey there, I have a problem with a SQLite photo/album database. The database contains 3 tables: Albums id name hide -------------------------- 1 Holiday 2010 1 2 Day Trip 0 Photos id file ----------------- 1 photo1.jpg 2 photo2.jpg 3 photo3.jpg 4 photo4.jpg Relation (connects photos with albums) album photo ----------------- 1 1 1 2 2 3 2 1 A photo can be assigned to zero, one or several albums. Each album has a column 'hide' that indicates, whether the photos of this album should be ignored. I'm trying to find a SELECT query that returns all photos that are not assigned to an album + all the photos that are in albums which are not hidden (i.e. that have their 'hide' value set to 0). I came up with a query that selects photos in visible albums, but I don't know how to include the photos that are not assigned to an album. SELECT file FROM photos, albums, relation WHERE photos.id = relation.photo AND albums.id = relation.album AND albums.hide = 0 This query returns photo3.jpg and the required result would be photo3.jpg photo4.jpg because photo4.jpg is not assigned to album in the Relation table. Do you know how to solve this? Thank you very much for your help!

  • Trouble with jQuery Form Validation

    - by Sennheiser
    I'm making a form that has the following validation rules: no fields are "required", but if you enter an email, it must be valid, and if you enter a password, it must be at least 6 characters and match the confirm password field value. The form works flawlessly with no validation so I know it's not a PHP or HTML problem. Here's the jQuery code handling the form: $('#success').hide(); $('#pwerror').hide(); $('#emailError').hide(); $('#subSet').live('click',function() { //if any of the fields have a value if($("#chfn").val() != "" || $("#chln").val() != "" || $("#chpw").val() != "" || $("#chpw2").val() != "" || $("#chem").val() != "") { $ev = 1; $pv = 1; //validates an email if there is one, trips the valid variable flag if($("#chem").val() != "") { $("#profSet").validate({ rules: { chem: { email: true }, chpw: { required: false, minlength: 6 }, chpw2: { required: false, minlength: 6, equalTo: $("#chpw").val() } }, messages:{ chpw2: { equalTo: "Passwords must be the same." }, chpw: { minlength: "Password must be at least 6 characters." } } }); if(!($("#profSet").valid())) { $ev = 0; } } //if either password field is filled, start trying to validate it if($("#chpw").val() != "" || $("#chpw2").val() != "") { if(!($("#profSet").valid())) { $pv = 0; } } //if those two were valid if($pv == 1 && $ev == 1) { $.post('php/profSet.php', $('#profSet').serialize(), function(){ $('#profSet').hide(); $('#success').show(); }); } //if either was invalid, the error was already tripped, and this code exits here } }); The problem I'm having now is that the "passwords must be the same" error keeps getting triggered even if both fields are blank, or if they actually are the same. Therefore, the form cannot submit. Any help?

  • jQuery - Show id, based on selected items class?

    - by Jon Hadley
    I have a layout roughly as follows: <div id="foo"> <!-- a bunch of content --> </div> <div id="thumbnails"> <div class="thumb-content1"></div> <div class="thumb-content2"></div> <div class="thumb-content3"></div> </div> <div id="content-1"> <!-- some text and pictures, including large-pic1 --> </div> <div id="content-2"> <!-- some text and pictures, including large-pic2 --> </div> <div id="content-3"> <!-- some text and pictures, including large-pic3 --> </div> etc .... On page load I want to show 'foo' and 'thumbnails' and hide the three content divs. As the user clicks each thumbnail, I want to hide foo, and replace it with the matching 'content-x'. I can get my head round jQuery show, hide and replace (although, bonus points if you want to include that in your example!). But how would I extract and construct the appropriate content id, from the thumbnail class, then pass it to the show hide code?

  • JQuery ajax success help

    - by Jason
    Hi all, I am implementing a "Quick delete" function into a page I am creating. The way it works is like this: 1: You click the "delete" button in the table row for the record that you want to delete. 2: The page sends a request to the ajax page and return a successfully message of "yes" or a failure message of "no". My issue is that if I get a successful message of "yes" I want to hide the row for that record. I am having issue "finding" the row using JQuery. Here is my jquery code: $(document).ready(function(){ $(".pane .btn-delete").click(function(){ var element = $(this); var del_id = element.attr("id"); var dataString = 'action=del&cid=' + del_id; if(confirm("Are you sure you want to delete this content block?")) { $("#msgbox").addClass('ajaxmsg').text('Checking permissions....').fadeIn(1000); $.ajax({ type: "get", url: "ajax/admArticles_ajax.php", data: dataString, success: function(data){ switch(data) { case "yes": $("#msgbox").addClass('ajaxmsg').text('Deleting content block....').fadeIn(1000); $(this).parents(".pane").animate({ backgroundColor: "#fbc7c7" }, "fast") .animate({ opacity: "hide" }, "slow") break case "no": $("#msgbox").removeClass().addClass('error').text('You do not have the correct permissions to delete this content....').fadeIn(1000); break default: }; } }); } return false; }); }); This is the lines of code I am using to hide the row however it is not working because I don't think $(this).parents(".pane") finds the element. $(this).parents(".pane").animate({ backgroundColor: "#fbc7c7" }, "fast") .animate({ opacity: "hide" }, "slow") Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...

  • jquery hover not working properly other than IE6

    - by Kranthi
    Hi All, We developed navigation bar using jQuery 1.4.2. Functionality is to show submneus for different menu items when user hovers on it. It is working perfectly in IE6 but we see some weird problems in other browsers. In Firefox, when the page gets loaded, it works fine but when we hit f5, the submenu wont appear on hover. To get submenu we need to click on any other menu item. In Chrome, its the same to add on, some time even we click on any menu item, and hover submenu wont show up. In Safari, nothing shows up most of the times, but on clicking 5-6 menu items, submenu is shown.When we see loading text in safari it shows the submenu. but on every click the loading text wont appear.. We are very much confused..is it the browser behavior/code/jquery?? Below is the snippet: Html: <ul> <li><a class="mainLinks" href="google.com">Support</a> <ul><li>Sublink1</li></ul> </ul> Html code is absolutely fine. Jquery: var timeout = null; var ie = (document.all) ? true : false; $(document).ready(function(){ var $mainLink = null; var $subLink = null; $(".mainLinks").each(function(){ if ($(this).hasClass("current")) { $(this).mouseout(function() { var $this = $(this); timeout = setTimeout(function() { $(".popUpNav", $this.parent()).css({ visibility : 'hidden' }); $('.popUpArrow').hide(); ieCompat('show'); }, 200); }); } else { $(this).hover(function() { reset(); ieCompat('hide'); // Saving this for later use in the popUpNav hover event $mainLink = $(this); $popUpNav = $(".popUpNav", $mainLink.parent()); // Default width is width of one column var popupWidth = $('.popUpNavSection').width() + 20; // Calculate popup width depending on the number of columns var numColumns = $popUpNav.find('.popUpNavSection').length; if (numColumns != 0) { popupWidth *= numColumns; } var elPos = $mainLink.position(); var leftOffset = 0; if (elPos.left + popupWidth > 950) { leftOffset = elPos.left + popupWidth - 948; } $popUpNav.css({ top : elPos.top + 31 + 'px', left : elPos.left - leftOffset + 'px', visibility : 'visible', width : popupWidth + 'px' }); $('.popUpArrow').css({ left : elPos.left + Math.round(($mainLink.width() / 2)) + 20 + 'px', top : '27px' }).show(); }, function() { var $this = $(this); timeout = setTimeout(function() { $(".popUpNav", $this.parent()).css({ visibility : 'hidden' }); $('.popUpArrow').hide() ieCompat('show'); }, 200); } ); } }); $(".subLinks").hover( function(e) { $subLink = $(this); var elPos = $subLink.position(); var popupWidth = $(".popUpNavLv2",$subLink.parent()).width(); var leftOffset = 0; ieCompat('hide'); $(".popUpNavLv2",$subLink.parent()).css({ top : elPos.top + 32 + 'px', left : elPos.left - leftOffset + 'px', visibility : 'visible' }); }, function() { var $this = $(this); timeout = setTimeout(function() { $(".popUpNavLv2", $this.parent()).css({ visibility : 'hidden' }); }, 200); ieCompat('show'); } ); $('.popUpNav').hover( function() { clearTimeout(timeout); $mainLink.addClass('current'); $(this).css('visibility', 'visible'); $('.popUpArrow').show(); }, function() { $mainLink.removeClass('current'); $(this).css('visibility', 'hidden'); $('.popUpArrow').hide(); ieCompat('show'); } ); $('.popUpNavLv2').hover( function() { clearTimeout(timeout); $(this).css('visibility', 'visible'); ieCompat('hide'); }, function() { ieCompat('show'); $(this).css('visibility', 'hidden'); } ); // If on mac, reduce left padding on the tabs if (/mac os x/.test(navigator.userAgent.toLowerCase())) { $('.mainLinks, .mainLinksHome').css('padding-left', '23px'); } }); Thanks a lot in advance for looking into it. Thanks | Kranthi
