  • Setting an XAML Window always on top (but no TopMost property)

    - by Brian Scherady
I am developing an application based on OptiTrack SDK (from NaturalPoint). I need to run the application window as "Always on Top". The window is designed in XAML and is controled in the class "CameraView" but it does not seem to include a "TopMost" property or equivalent. Attached are the code of "CameraView.xaml.cs" and the code of "CameraView.xaml" that are part of OptiTrack SDK (NaturalPoint) called "Single_Camera_CSharp_.NET_3.0". One could expect the class CameraView to contain properties or members to set the position of the window on the screen or to set it to TopMost but as far as searched I found nothing. I wonder what I should do. Thank you, Brian ================ "CameraView.xaml.cs" using System; using System.IO; using System.Net; using System.Windows; using System.Windows.Controls; using System.Windows.Data; using System.Windows.Media; • How to add a service to the type descriptor context of a property grid in .Net?

    - by Jules
I have an app that allows the user to choose an image, at design time, either as a straight image, or from an image list. All cool so far, except that this is not happening from the visual studio property browser, its happening from a property grid that is a part of a type editor. My problem is, both the image picker (actually resource picker), and the imagelist type converter rely on some design-time services to get the job done. In the case of imagelist, its the IReferenceService and in the case of the resource picker its a service called _DTE. In the first instance of an edit from the visual studio property browser, I could get a reference to these services but (1) how can I add them to the type descriptor context of my property grid? It would be better, for future proofing, if I could just copy a reference to all of the services in the type descriptor context. (2) Where does the property browser get these services from in the first place? ETA: I still don't know how to do it, but I now know it is possible. (1) Sub-class control and add a property whose type is an array of buttons. (2) Add it to a form. (3) Select the new control on the design service and edit the new property in the property browser. (4) The collection editor dialog pops-up (5) Add a button (6) Edit image and image list - the type editor and type converter, respectively, behave as they should.

  • C#/DataSet: Create and bind a custom column/property in a DataSet`s DataTable in the XXXDataSet.cs

    - by msfanboy
Hello, I have a DataSet with a DataTable having the columns Number and Description. I do not want to bind both properties to a BindingSource bound again to 2 controls. What I want is a 3rd column in the DataTable called NumberDescription which is a composition of Number and Description. This property is bound only to 1 control/BindingSource`s property not 2. There is the partial XXXDataSet.Designer.cs file and the partial XXXDataSet.cs file. Of course I have defined the public string NumberDescription {get (doing some checks here;set (doing also some checks here} in the XXXDataSet.cs file. But all this does not bind my new property/Column to the BindingSource the DataTable is bound to because the DataSet does not know the new column/property. To make this new property/column known I could add a new column to the DataTAble in the DataSet designer view naming it NumberDescription. At least I see know the new property in the listing of the BindingSource so I can choose it. But all that did not help?? So how do I do that stuff properly? Should I call the NumberDescription Property in the Number AND Description Property ?

  • How to create managed properties at site collection level in SharePoint2013

    - by ybbest
In SharePoint2013, you can create managed properties at site collection. Today, I’d like to show you how to do so through PowerShell. 1. Define your managed properties and crawled properties and managed property Type in an external csv file. PowerShell script will read this file and create the managed and the mapping. 2. As you can see I also defined variant Type, this is because you need the variant type to create the crawled property. In order to have the crawled properties, you need to do a full crawl and also make sure you have data populated for your custom column. However, if you do not want to a full crawl to create those crawled properties, you can create them yourself by using the PowerShell; however you need to make sure the crawled properties you created have the same name if created by a full crawl. Managed properties type: Text = 1 Integer = 2 Decimal = 3 DateTime = 4 YesNo = 5 Binary = 6 Variant Type: Text = 31 Integer = 20 Decimal = 5 DateTime = 64 YesNo = 11 3. You can use the following script to create your managed properties at site collection level, the differences for creating managed property at site collection level is to pass in the site collection id. param( [string] $siteUrl="http://SP2013/", [string] $searchAppName = "Search Service Application", $ManagedPropertiesList=(IMPORT-CSV ".\ManagedProperties.csv") ) Add-PSSnapin Microsoft.SharePoint.PowerShell -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue $searchapp = $null function AppendLog { param ([string] $msg, [string] $msgColor) $currentDateTime = Get-Date $msg = $msg + " --- " + $currentDateTime if (!($logOnly -eq $True)) { # write to console Write-Host -f $msgColor $msg } # write to log file Add-Content $logFilePath $msg } $scriptPath = Split-Path $myInvocation.MyCommand.Path $logFilePath = $scriptPath + "\CreateManagedProperties_Log.txt" function CreateRefiner {param ([string] $crawledName, [string] $managedPropertyName, [Int32] $variantType, [Int32] $managedPropertyType,[System.GUID] $siteID) $cat = Get-SPEnterpriseSearchMetadataCategory –Identity SharePoint -SearchApplication $searchapp $crawledproperty = Get-SPEnterpriseSearchMetadataCrawledProperty -Name $crawledName -SearchApplication $searchapp -SiteCollection $siteID if($crawledproperty -eq $null) { Write-Host AppendLog "Creating Crawled Property for $managedPropertyName" Yellow $crawledproperty = New-SPEnterpriseSearchMetadataCrawledProperty -SearchApplication $searchapp -VariantType $variantType -SiteCollection $siteID -Category $cat -PropSet "00130329-0000-0130-c000-000000131346" -Name $crawledName -IsNameEnum $false } $managedproperty = Get-SPEnterpriseSearchMetadataManagedProperty -Identity $managedPropertyName -SearchApplication $searchapp -SiteCollection $siteID -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue if($managedproperty -eq $null) { Write-Host AppendLog "Creating Managed Property for $managedPropertyName" Yellow $managedproperty = New-SPEnterpriseSearchMetadataManagedProperty -Name $managedPropertyName -Type $managedPropertyType -SiteCollection $siteID -SearchApplication $searchapp -Queryable:$true -Retrievable:$true -FullTextQueriable:$true -RemoveDuplicates:$false -RespectPriority:$true -IncludeInMd5:$true } $mappedProperty = $crawledproperty.GetMappedManagedProperties() | ?{$_.Name -eq $managedProperty.Name } if($mappedProperty -eq $null) { Write-Host AppendLog "Creating Crawled -> Managed Property mapping for $managedPropertyName" Yellow New-SPEnterpriseSearchMetadataMapping -CrawledProperty $crawledproperty -ManagedProperty $managedproperty -SearchApplication $searchapp -SiteCollection $siteID } $mappedProperty = $crawledproperty.GetMappedManagedProperties() | ?{$_.Name -eq $managedProperty.Name } #Get-FASTSearchMetadataCrawledPropertyMapping -ManagedProperty $managedproperty } $searchapp = Get-SPEnterpriseSearchServiceApplication $searchAppName $site= Get-SPSite $siteUrl $siteId=$site.id Write-Host "Start creating Managed properties" $i = 1 FOREACH ($property in $ManagedPropertiesList) { $propertyName=$property.managedPropertyName $crawledName=$property.crawledName $managedPropertyType=$property.managedPropertyType $variantType=$property.variantType Write-Host $managedPropertyType Write-Host "Processing managed property $propertyName $($i)..." $i++ CreateRefiner $crawledName $propertyName $variantType $managedPropertyType $siteId Write-Host "Managed property created " $propertyName } Key Concepts Crawled Properties: Crawled properties are discovered by the search index service component when crawling content. • Alternative to FindAncestor RelativeSource in Silverlight 4 to bind to a property of the page

    - by TimothyP
Hi, FindAncestor RelativeSource only supports 'Self' and 'TemplatedParent', but I have to bind the width of a popup to the width of the page. Giving the page a name causes problems because sometimes it will throw exceptions saying a control with that name is already present in the visual tree. <Popup IsOpen="True" Width="{Binding ElementName=BordPage, Path=Width}" Height="{Binding ElementName=BordPage, Path=Height}"> Background information: I'm using a SL4 navigation based application here. BordPage is a navigation page, which I'm using multiple times within the application. So giving it a name in the page itself is not really a good idea, but I don't know how else I can bind to the width and height of the page. What I'm trying to do is have a black border (with opacity 0.8) cover the entire screen, (including the controls of the MainPage). Then on top of that I want to display some other controls. Since the application is touch controlled, providing the user with a ComboBox to select a value doesn't really work wel. Instead I want to show this black overlay window with a listbox taking up most of the screen so the user can simply touch the value he wants with a single click. Update: I just realized I can use the ChildWindow class to do this. But my original question remains.

  • JavaScriptSerializer deserialize object "collection" as property in object failing

Hi All, I have a js object structured like: object.property1 = "some string"; object.property2 = "some string"; object.property3.property1 = "some string"; object.property3.property2 = "some string"; object.property3.property2 = "some string"; i'm using JSON.stringify(object) to pass this with ajax request. When i try to deserialize this using JavaScriptSerializer.Deserialize as a Dictionary i get the following error: No parameterless constructor defined for type of 'System.String'. This exact same process is working for regular object with non "collection" properties.. thanks for any help!

  • WPF: Binding Combobox in Code Behind to Property

    - by Richard
Hi All, This might be something very straight forward and I really think it should work as is, but it doesn't... I have the following scenario: var itemSource = new Binding { Path = new PropertyPath("ItemList"), Mode = BindingMode.OneTime }; comboBox.SetBinding(ItemsControl.ItemsSourceProperty, itemSource); ItemList is simply: public IList<string> ItemList { get { return Enum.GetNames(typeof(OptionsEnum)).ToList(); } } I would have expected this to bind the list of items to the Combobox, and when I do it in XAML it works fine, but I have to do it in code behind... Any ideas?

  • When querying the Win32_NTLogEvent Class from WMI with WQL is the TimeGenerated property based on Lo

    - by jpmcclung
I am writing a C# windows service that is doing some churning through the eventlog on a few domain controllers. Some of them are Windows Server 2003 and some are Windows Server 2008. Upon the service stopping I am attempting to resume where I left off in the logs. In order to do this instead of SELECT * FROM Win32_NTLogEvent WHERE --criteria for events I am looking for I am doing SELECT * FROM Win32_NTLogEvent WHERE TimeGenerated = --some date AND --criteria for events I am looking for At one point I was convinced that the TimeGenerated field was in the local time of the server but now it seems that the Windows 2008 Servers are using GMT to record that time. Can anyone shed some light on if this is a real different between the way the two operating systems function or is this a configuration problem?

  • MVVM - ListBox SelectedItem Binding Property Going Null

    - by Peanut
So i have a listbox: <ListBox x:Name="listbox" HorizontalAlignment="Left" Margin="8,8,0,8" Width="272" BorderBrush="{x:Null}" Background="{x:Null}" Foreground="{x:Null}" ItemsSource="{Binding MenuItems}" ItemTemplate="{DynamicResource MenuItemsTemplate}" SelectionChanged="ListBox_SelectionChanged" SelectedItem="{Binding SelectedItem}"> </ListBox> and i have this included in my viewmodel: public ObservableCollection<MenuItem> MenuItems { get { return menuitems; } set { menuitems = value; NotifyPropertyChanged("MenuItems"); } } public MenuItem SelectedItem { get { return selecteditem; } set { selecteditem = value; NotifyPropertyChanged("SelectedItem"); } } and also in my viewmodel: public void UpdateStyle() { ActiveHighlight = SelectedItem.HighlightColor; ActiveShadow = SelectedItem.ShadowColor; } So, the objective is to call UpdateStyle() whenever selectedchanged event is fired. So in the .CS file, i call UpdateStyle(). The problem is, whenever I get into the selectionchanged event method, my ViewModel.SelectedItem is always null. I tried debugging this to see if the binding was working correctly, and it is. When I click on an item in the listbox, the SelectedItem Set is triggered, setting the value... but somewhere inbetween that and the selected changed (In the CS File) It gets reset to Null. Can anyone help out? Thanks

  • Binding Contents of a ListBox to Selected Item from Another Listbox w/JSF & Managed Beans

    - by nieltown
    Hi there! I currently have a JSF application that uses two listboxes. The first, say ListBox1, contains a list of manufacturers; each option comes from the database (via a method getManufacturers in a class called QueryUtil), is populated dynamically, and its value is an integer ID. This part works so far. My goal is to populate a second listbox, say ListBox2, with a list of products sold by the manufacturer. This list of products will come from the database as well (products are linked to a manufacturer via a foreign key relationship, via a method getProducts in my QueryUtil class). How do I go about doing this? Please bear in mind that I've been working with JSF for under 24 hours; I'm willing to accept the fact that I'm missing something very rudimentary. Again, I've been able to populate the list of manufacturers just fine; unfortunately, adding the Products component gives me java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: argument type mismatch faces-config.xml <managed-bean> <managed-bean-name>ProductsBean</managed-bean-name> <managed-bean-class>com.nieltown.ProductsBean</managed-bean-class> <managed-bean-scope>request</managed-bean-scope> <managed-property> <property-name>manufacturers</property-name> <property-class>java.util.ArrayList</property-class> <value>#{manufacturers}</value> </managed-property> <managed-property> <property-name>selectedManufacturer</property-name> <property-class>java.lang.Integer</property-name> <value>#{selectedManufacturer}</value> </managed-property> <managed-property> <property-name>products</property-name> <property-class>java.util.ArrayList</property-class> <value>#{products}</value> </managed-property> <managed-property> <property-name>selectedProduct</property-name> <property-class>java.lang.Integer</property-name> <value>#{selectedProducts}</value> <managed-property> </managed-bean> com.nieltown.ProductsBean public class ProductsBean { private List<SelectItem> manufacturers; private List<SelectItem> products; private Integer selectedManufacturer; private Integer selectedProduct; public ProductsBean() {} public Integer getSelectedManufacturer(){ return selectedManufacturer; } public void setSelectedManufacturer(Integer m){ selectedManufacturer = m; } public Integer getSelectedProduct(){ return selectedProduct; } public void setSelectedProduct(Integer p){ selectedProduct = p; } public List<SelectItem> getManufacturers(){ if(manufacturers == null){ SelectItem option; plans = new ArrayList<SelectItem>(); QueryUtil qu = new QueryUtil(); Map<Integer, String> manufacturersMap = qu.getManufacturers(); for(Map.Entry<Integer, String> entry : manufacturersMap.entrySet()){ option = new SelectItem(entry.getKey(),entry.getValue()); manufacturers.add(option); } } return manufacturers; } public void setManufacturers(List<SelectItem> l){ manufacturers = l; } public List<SelectItem> getProducts(){ if(products == null){ SelectItem option; products = new ArrayList<SelectItem>(); if(selectedPlan != null){ PMTQueryUtil pqu = new PMTQueryUtil(); Map<Integer, String> productsMap = pqu.getProducts(); for(Map.Entry<Integer, String> entry : productsMap.entrySet()){ option = new SelectItem(entry.getKey(),entry.getValue()); products.add(option); } } } return products; } public void setProducts(List<SelectItem> l){ products = l; } } JSP fragment <h:selectOneListbox id="manufacturerList" value="#{ProductsBean.selectedManufacturer}" size="10"> <f:selectItems value="#{ProductsBean.manufacturers}" /> </h:selectOneListbox> <h:selectOneListbox id="productList" value="#{PendingPlansBean.selectedProduct}" size="10"> <f:selectItems binding="#{ProductsBean.products}" /> </h:selectOneListbox>

  • How to Use DataSource Property in DataFormWebPart

    - by Bryan Shen
I'm writing a custom web part that extends DataFormWebPart. public class MyCustomWebPart : DataFormWebPart{ // other methods public override void DataBind() { XmlDataSource source = new XmlDataSource() { Data = @" <Person> <name cap='true'>Bryan</name> <occupation>student</occupation> </Person> " }; DataSources.Add(source); base.DataBind(); } } The only noticeable thing I do is overriding the DataBind() method, where I use xml as the data source. After I deploy the web part, I set the following XSL to it: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"> <xsl:output method="xml" version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" indent="yes"/> <xsl:template match="/"> <xmp> <xsl:copy-of select="*"/> </xmp> </xsl:template> </xsl:stylesheet> This xsl will surround the input xml with a tag . So I expected the web part to display the original xml data as I wrote in C# code behind. But what shows up in the web part is this: <Person> <name cap="true" /> <occupation /> </Person> All the values within the inner-most tags disappear. What's going on? Can anybody help me? Thanks.

  • Symfony / Doctrine - How to filter form field by property in related model

    - by Dan
I have a UserForm class which has a select list populated from a related model (specified by a foreign relationship in the yml) like so: $this->setWidget('report_id', new sfWidgetFormDoctrineChoice(array('model' => $this->getRelatedModelName('Report')))); I'd like to filter the Report objects that come from this relation by one of the Report fields, "active" such that only Reports with active=1 appear in the form. I have a method, ReportTable::GetActiveReports() that performs the appropriate query and returns the filtered reports. So one option is to populate the Widget with the results of that function. Any tips on the syntax to do that? It seems to me the cleaner way is to use the UserFormFilter class to filter the reports by active=1 there. Unfortunately I couldn't find any documentation on how to use form filters (or really what they are), so maybe this is not the right solution. Is a Form Filter the appropriate tool for this job? It seems I should use the Doctrine_Record_Filter_Standard class as defined here: http://www.doctrine-project.org/api/orm/1.2/doctrine/doctrine_record_filter_standard.html But it's not clear to me the appropriate usage. Any guidance would be helpful. Thanks! Dan

  • CSS - margin and float property

    - by David Casillas
    1.- We have a div with static positioning. Inside we have a parragraph with a margin. The heigth of the div will be the parragraph without the margin 2.- We have a div with float:left. Inside we have a parragraph with a margin. The heigth of the div will be the parragraph plus its margin. What is the explanation of this? Here is the html code and the CSS code. And here is a link to the test site. http://prueba.davidcasillas.es/ <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="es"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" /> <title>Untitled Document</title> <link href="index.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> </head> <body> <div id="nivel1"> <div id="nivel21"> <p>Este es el primer parrafo</p> </div> <div id="nivel22"> <p>Este es el primer parrafo</p> </div> </div> </body> </html> body { margin:0; padding:0; } #nivel1 { border:solid; border-color:#333; margin:0; background-color:#0F3; margin:2em; } #nivel21 { margin:2em; float:left; background-color:#C00; } #nivel22 { margin:2em; background-color:#FC0; }

  • xCode "Property access results unused - getters should not be used for side effects"

    - by David DelMonte
Hi all, I'm getting this warning when I'm calling a local routine. My code is this: -(void)nextLetter { // NSLog(@"%s", __FUNCTION__); currentLetter ++; if(currentLetter > (letters.count - 1)) { currentLetter = 0; } self.fetchLetter; } I'm getting the warning on the self.fetchLetter statement. That routine looks like this: - (void)fetchLetter { // NSLog(@"%s", __FUNCTION__); NSString *wantedLetter = [[letters objectAtIndex: currentLetter] objectForKey: @"langLetter"]; NSString *wantedUpperCase = [[letters objectAtIndex: currentLetter] objectForKey: @"upperCase"]; ..... } I prefer to fix warning messages, is there a better way to write this? Thanks!

  • populating object collection property with Linq

    - by Benjamin Ortuzar
    I have an XML structure that has many doc nodes, and each node may have zero or more extract paragraphs (paras). <doc> <docitem>3</docitem> <docid>129826</docid> <doctitle>sample title</doctitle> <docdatetime>2009-07-03T16:59:00</docdatetime> <collectdatetime>2009-07-03T16:59:23</collectdatetime> <summary> <summarytext>sample summary</summarytext> </summary> <paras> <paraitemcount>2</paraitemcount> <para> <paraitem>1</paraitem> <paratext>sample text 1</paratext> </para> <para> <paraitem>2</paraitem> <paratext>sample text 2</paratext> </para> </paras> </doc> <doc> ... </doc> I also has some Linq code to populate some Document objects: List<Document> documentsList = (from doc in xmlDocument.Descendants("doc") select new Document { DocId = doc.Element("docid").Value, DocTitle = doc.Element("doctitle").Value, DocDateTime = DateTime.Parse(doc.Element("docdate").Value), DocSummary = doc.Element("summary").Value, DocParas = "" ///missing code to populate List<string> } ).ToList<Document>(); Is it possible add all the paras nodes into the Document.DocParas List<string> using Linq and Xpath, or should I do this task in a different way? Note: I'm using .NET C# 3.5

  • Using RichTextBox SelectionTabs property in winforms

In a winforms application, I'm using a RichTextBox and I'm trying to reduce the output from a '\t' to 4 spaces from whatever the default is. I have this in the form's OnLoad _richTextBox.Text = "1\t2\t3\t4\t5"; _richTextBox.SelectAll(); _richTextBox.SelectionTabs = new int[] {100,200,300,400 }; I have a breakpoint before and after this snippet. The SelectionTabs is set to {int[0]} (empty int array) before and after the assignment. Can anyone tell me why my assignment is not going through?
