My problem is since an enum in objective-c essentially is an int value, I am not able to store it in a NSMutableArray. Apparently NSMutableArray won't take any c-date types like an int.
Is there any common way to achieve this ?
typedef enum
{
green,
blue,
red
} MyColors;
NSMutableArray *list = [[NSMutableArray alloc] initWithObjects:
green,
blue,
red,
nil];
//Get enum value back out
MyColors greenColor = [list objectAtIndex:0];
I am making a 2D game in javascript/ajax, that will be using data stored in mysql database. Every user have got his own "area" made of small squares that can have some values. But I have no idea, how to store values of each square in mysql, when each user can have area with different width or height. Do you have some idea?
Hello,
I am working on my personal site, where I want to store my customers recent search result limited to that particular session.
I am using PHP platform and Javascripts.
Here is an example of what I am exactly looking at :
It stores your previously searched domain name for that particular session so that user can make decision by comparing those results.
How to achieve this using php, javascripts or some sort of div layer ????
Thanks.
Is this a probable security flaw. A user in public (lets say Starbucks) tries to log in to iOS application. He enters user id and password [Password is hidden using xxxxxxxx (not exposed)] and a call comes in or he presses home and the application goes to background.
a) Does iOS store an image of current screen
b) A malicious hacker with intent takes control of the device. Can he read the password ?
Do we have to clear out sensitive information while going to background
I try to start an Google appengine application in my eclipse.
I have the Google plugin and I set the sdk for my application.
But, when I start this one, I get the following error:
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.datanucleus.store.appengine.jpa.DatastorePersistenceProvider
However, this class is present in the sdk which is present in my classpath.
Why Appengine doesn't find this class ?
Thanks.
How to use the update query in google app engine while using with gwt. I'm trying to make a chat application where apart from submitting and deleting the previous messages, the administrator can edit out the portions of existing messages.
For editing the existing messages update query is needed and I could not find anything like update query in data store.
How can we update the existing data?
So I've spent a lot of time making an iPhone game and have recently realized that I don't have to limit myself to just Apple - I know there are app stores for Palm and Android, but does anybody know of a good "app store" for the plain old PC? I would like to have one where individual developers can publish an app and not have to worry about all the billing and piracy issues!
Hello all,
I have a form that has text boxes, buttons on it for the user to sign up and sign in. I need to store the entered sign up credentials in any database(Oracle, Service based database, local database). Then when he tries to sign in, entered credentials should be compared with stored sign up values for authentication.
This is done in visual studio, c#.
Can anyone please give me hints or any references?
Thank you
Does any one know of an example on how to store an image in a SQL Server CE database?
What data type should the column be? (I am guessing binary.)
I use Linq-To-Datasets. Is it possible using that to put the image into the database and pull it out again later?
Thanks for any advice.
What's the easiest way to store a simple numeric variable on my server and then have a Flash application also hosted on the server read/write the variable?
I've seen various xml solutions, but they look too complex for such a simple job. Is there a way to just read/write a simple text file with just AS3 and no middle-ware?
Non-english characters are messed up in a text column. Arabic text looks like this:
! نـجـم سـهـيـل
How to store non-english characters correctly?
How do I store recent queries in a database?? I know how to find recent searches which is inserted/modified the database but if it isn't inserted/modified then how do I find recent queries???
I am designing database tables for a master-detail scenario. The specific requirement is that it is necessary to store information about the order of children. I see some possible solutions (like adding a column representing a position in the sequence, or a column with foreign key to the previous child) but I would like to know the best practices how to solve such problems.
Best regards

How do I store standalone attachments in Couchdb using eCouch library.
Ecouch provides doc_create/3 and doc_Create/2, can we make use of any of these functions?
Did anyone has success in storing and retrieving attachments using eCouch?
Thanks in advance.
It is often said that using LDAP is a good way to store data about users. That's beacause users' "directory" is hierarchical and it changes rarely. But in my opinion that doesn't exclude using RDBMS. What might be reasons to use LDAP? I guess that storing multi-valued fields or adding custom fields in LDAP might be easier but it can be done in database too (unless you have many records)
Hello,
I'm looking for a way in an Android application to store a password within the memory as long as the application is running (cf. different activities). I was first thinking about the SharedPreferences, but then it's saved in the flash memory, which isn't that good for a password, I guess.
I'm unsure, what's the best way. What would you recommend me?
Hello! Is there an URL that will directly open an application in the App Store on the iPad without redirecting through Safari? I am interested in http:// links, not itms://, as I want them to be usable outside the device. The phobos links used on iPhone do not seem to work on the iPad.
i want to store a word documents (.doc) in the database and i need to provide search over a collection of Word documents and highlight the words too.

Hello all, complete newbie here,
I need to find a way to store 250 KB of plain text numbers inside my program's executable file.
Usually, I would put the data in a separate file and let the program read it while it is running, but that's not an option here. Instead, the program and the data need to be in one executable file.
I have absolutely no idea how to do it (except writing 250.000 #defines :-) and I'd appreciate any suggestions.
Thank you very much!
I have the following TSQL Statement:
SELECT ProductId, OwnerId FROM Product
How I can store the ProductId and OwnerId in a TSQL variable and then return it to the calling application?
I'm looking to create something like what Apple has on their online store for displaying the summary of your computer and total as seen here. I'm guessing this is JavaScript, but it'd be even cooler if it could be done in CSS.
Basically I'd like something scrolls with the page like position:fixed, but I don't want it to start moving until the user has scroll past a certain position.
I'm using jQuery, so a jQuery plugin would be perfect as well.
This is a follow up to my previous question: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1284476/where-does-drupal-store-node-body-content
Now, I tried adding values into node and node-revision, but still the node data is not showing. So, obviously more data is stored somewhere else. So basically, I want to know, which tables are affected when you create a new node?
