  • OOF (Out of Office) is not working for remote users (Outlook Anywhere)

    I'm not sure how long this issue has been happening, but recently a few of the remote sales users were going to a sales meeting and wanted to set their Out of Office... however in Outlook 2010, they get this error message: "Your automatic reply settings cannot be displayed because the server is currently unavailable" When I run the Exchange Remote Connectivity Analyzer, Autodiscover completes fine, but the next step fails: Exception details: Message: The request failed. The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden. Type: Microsoft.Exchange.WebServices.Data.ServiceRequestException Stack trace: at Microsoft.Exchange.WebServices.Data.ServiceRequestBase.GetEwsHttpWebResponse(IEwsHttpWebRequest request) at Microsoft.Exchange.WebServices.Data.MultiResponseServiceRequest`1.Execute() at Microsoft.Exchange.WebServices.Data.ExchangeService.BindToFolder[TFolder](FolderId folderId, PropertySet propertySet) at Microsoft.Exchange.Tools.ExRca.Tests.EnsureEmptyFolderTest.PerformTestReally() Exception details: Message: The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden.     If I select an Outlook message from my Inbox and copy it to the clipboard I can paste it as an *.msg file to the Desktop. Now I want to implement the same feature to my application. The Clipboard object contains the following elements: RenPrivateSourceFolder RenPrivateMessages RenPrivateItem FileGroupDescriptor FileGroupDescriptorW FileDrop FileNameW FileName FileContents Object Descriptor System.String UnicodeText Text FileGroupDescriptor contains a MemoryStream with the filename (Subject.msg) but I don't know how to create a copy from the outlook message from the Clipboard data, since none of the elements seem to contain the message itself. Any Suggestions?

  • Outlook 2007 addins for filtering attachments accordingly to recipients.

    My question is that I need to send attached mail to domain users and non domain users. Domain users will receive .lnk of the attached file where as non domain users will receive physical file. Now I am doing by capturing send event of outlook and internally divided mail in two parts for domain users I crated .lnk of the file and attached it and sent to user. Where as for non domain users i attached the physical file and sent to the user. But these things are done by sending two mails internally so I am not able to maintain CC, BCC information. I need to do these things in one mail. So it is possible in outlook addins to filter attachments accordingly to recipients.

    I am trying to setup Anywhere Access on a Windows Server 2012 Essential Release Candidate, but keep getting this error: "The domain name was not setup for your server. Wait a few minutes and run the wizard again. An unknown error occurred. Please wait a few minutes and then try again". These are the options that I selected in the Wizard: I want to set up a new domain name Get a personalized domain name from Microsoft Entered my Windows live id and password xxxx.remotewebaccess.com And on the next page the error is displayed. I have setup my router (Linksys WRT160N) to forward all TCP traffic to the Server. UPnP is also enabled. If I hit my public (dynamic) IP (http://188.182.194.182/) I get the Windows Server 2012 homepage. Any ideas?

    I am trying to configure iptables for ubuntu 10.04 and I have a problem with iptables -L lagging on rows where the destination or source address is not localhost or anywhere. The following entries will cause lag on their row: iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport 111 -s 192.168.1.14 -j ACCEPT iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport 90 -d 192.168.1.14 -j ACCEPT while this does not: iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport localhost -s 192.168.1.14 -j ACCEPT iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport localhost -d 192.168.1.14 -j ACCEPT I feel like this might be due to iptables checking to see if the ip is reachable. If not, what is the cause, if it is how can I disable it?

  • Domain joining debate for Outlook 2010 with Exchange 2007 on windows SBS 2008 for a user on a laptop that will travel a fair amount of the time.

    I'm basically debating on whether or not to join the Domain on a Laptop, and was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience. If the computer were staying in the office, its a no brainer. Join the domain. In this case I have a user who will come into the office a few days a week, and work remotely the rest of the time. There is a working VPN using OpenVPN client/server, but it's not site-to-site. My knee jerk reaction is to not join the domain, so that the user can have 1 profile that they always use. In this configuration, should Outlook work properly with the user's domain account, and should the shared calendar still work (at least once inside the VPN)? My concern with joining the domain would be the inability to login to it when elsewhere. Is there maybe a way around this with caching or something? Would creating a second local login make sense for a user like this in any way? If so, why not just skip the domain join to begin with? Any thoughts on or experiences with this would be appreciated. Laptop OS Windows 7 (Not purchased yet.. pro if domain needed) Server SBS 2008, Exchange 2007 Outlook version 2010 Thanks for any help, Mike

    Ok this is somenthing unbelievable, we have a website, users sign up and receives links to confirm they signed up BUT: 1 - microsoft blocked our IP (no one with microsoft email account can receive our emails) 2 - we tryed contacting microsoft submitting the detailed form about our problem 3 - we posted 3 times in their community about our problem 4 - we tweeted they about our problem 5 - we tryed finding out some telephone support number (the few there are arent' helping at all) Do you think we solved? the answer is NO :/ We still unable to send emails from our IP to microsoft email accounts, since 3 months back. Our emails are perfect we checked all the email headers following microsoft guidelines but it seems not enought, checking our IP reputation it seems everythings ok, indeed we can send email easly to any other provider , gmail, yahoo, etc Do you know any other way to try to get help ?   • OWA (Outlook Web Access) won't give user a link to attached document. Gives "Open as Web Page"

    I have been testing OWA and have found that when there is an attached file on a message it shows the "Attachments:" then the file name (but no link) and then [Open as Web Page] link. The user has to click on that which opens a new window and previews the document, then the user gets "You are currently viewing:" followed by the file name. This time the file name is a link that they can open/download. This happens for Office documents and PDF file at least. How do I make it so users can get a direct link to the file on the original message window?

  • Is there a way to get the size of Outlook Calendar meeting items?

    In our Exchange environment, our company caps the size of an Exchange account at a certain size. That size is the sum of all the exchange related stuff stored on the server - includign both the Inbox and the Calendar. I can tell with the Mailbox properties, Folder Size... window that my Calendar is a good 50% of my account's footprint. Is there any way to get a more detailed view of what meetings in the Calendar are taking up the space? Given the general pattern of incoming mail, it's my belief that 2-5 meetings are responsible for 75% of the memory consumption... I just need to find which meetings are the problem... and with my current calendar, it's a bit like finding a needle in a haystack. Anyone got a trick for this?

  • How do I see the end of the subject line in MS Outlook?

    I currently receive emails with a very very long subject line (generated by another system) of which I cannot see the end (specifically a date and time), despite widening the field as much as I can. Can anybody suggest how can I either see the end of the subject line and sort by these criteria or preferably move the date and time text from the end to the beginning of the subject line so I can sort by it, perhaps using VB?
