    I have a blog that uses BlogEngine.net I am looking for an extension that automatically adds a "Tweet this" link for every post. When a user clicks on the "Tweet this" link, it would take them to their Twitter account with the "What are you doing" textarea prepopulated with the link of my blog post. Are there any out there that let me do this?

    I want to backup my Outlook email into Gmail. I have setup my Gmail account in Outlook using IMAP like is suggested here - http://www.keenerliving.com/importing-outlook-into-gmail - and I can successfully upload Outlook emails into Gmail, but Exchange mail doesn't copy across the sender and receivers. All Exchange emails in Gmail are listed as sent by (unknown sender). How do you upload Exchange emails into Gmail from Outlook while maintaining the correct From and To email addresses?

    hey, In MOSS 2007 I am trying to change the timezone settings per user using the follow link (domain removed): https://(domain removed).com/_layouts/regionalsetng.aspx?Type=User&Source= screenshot: http ://h.imagehost.org/0304/MOSS_EXAMPLE.png When doing this with any account (including admin accounts), there is an Error: access denied page that comes up. Anyone know why admin wouldn't have access to change timezone settings?

  • Setting up a very mixed Active Directory network to work with PowerShell Remote Administration

    Summary: I want to be able to monitor the computers on my network, but don't need it to be automated. We're too small to purchase anything like MOM, but too big to do anything manually (~100 machines in two locations). I just keep running into issues, and was wondering if there's a master list of Group Policy settings I can distribute to my environment to get Remote Powershell working. Environment: Our AD network is pretty mixed. The end users have XP SP3, Win 7, and Win 7 x64. The servers include Win2k3 SP2, Win2k8, Win2k8 x64, Win2k8 R2, and Win2k8 R2 x64. Details: I'm trying to get it to work with Remote Powershell, but I run into errors like the following: Connecting to remote server failed with the following error message : The WinRM client cannot process the request. Default authentication may be used with an IP address under the following conditions: the transport is HTTPS or the destination is in the TrustedHosts list, and explicit credentials are provided. Use winrm.cmd to configure TrustedHosts. Note that computers in the TrustedHosts list might not be authenticated. For more information on how to set TrustedHosts run the following command: winrm help config. For more information, see the about_Remote_Troubleshooting Help topic. + CategoryInfo : OpenError: (:) [], PSRemotingTransportException + FullyQualifiedErrorId : PSSessionStateBroken Then I go to the computer (Win2k3 SP2 server) and run winrm quickconfig per the recommendations via google, and it says: Make these changes [y/n]? y WinRM has been updated to receive requests. Consult the logs and documentation for the WS-Management service running on the destination, most commonly IIS or WinRM. Error number: -2144108526 0x80338012 The client cannot connect to the destination specified in the request. Verify that the service on the destination is running and is accepting requests. If the destination is the WinRM service, run the following command on the destination to analyze and configure the WinRM service: "winrm quickconfig". That's right. It tells me to remedy my winrm quickconfig failure by running winrm quickconfig. I don't want to band-aid this project one google search at a time. I'm sure there is a step-by-step tutorial out there on how to set up a network for powershell remote administration. Does anyone know of one? Books are acceptable. Thanks in advance!   • Mail.app does not show new mail when iPod touch is active

    I have synchronised the e-Mail settings of the iPod touch with the settings of my IMAP account in Mail.app. Now sometimes the iPod would show there are new mails with Mail.app totally ignoring their existence for hours. Only when Mail.app is restarted would these new mails show up. Is there anything I can do that Mail.app is up-to-date even though the iPod is running?

    We're using the default SMTP server for our websites to send mail with, but in the last day sending messages started getting this error: Insufficient system storage. The server response was: 4.3.1 Out of memory Further digging found this message in the System event log: SMTP server cannot create a file in the queue directory C:\Inetpub\mailroot\Queue\ I've since given the Everyone account full control of the mailroot folder but it's still happening. There's enough space on the server and to the best of my knowledge nothing on the server has been changed

    I have a IIS7/ASP.NET application running with the following configuration: Anonymous authentication (IUSR). Application Pool running as a domain account If IUSR is denied the "logon locally", then it appears that ASPX pages will still render their HTML, but static content such as images will not be delivered. I'm wondering what the technical reason is for this? If IUSR is "broken", why will a request to an ASPX page be passed down the pipeline and executed, but IIS will refuse to serve an image in the same directory?

  • Please wait for User Profile Service... on WIndows 7 takes around 1-2 minutes to process

    When loggging into our domain, after entering account credentials the log in process takes around 1-2 minutes before it gets past the User Profile Service, the rest of the process takes 2-3 secs. This effects all machines running Windows 7 Enteprise 32-bit and is on fairly high spec laptops (SSD drives, i5 2.93Ghz CPU, 4GB memory). Is there any way to speed this up or is this time delay acceptable? Thanks in advance.

    I've got a set of .tar.gz files, which are duplicity backup files (either full backups or incremental ones). I'd like to compute which directories take the most space on backups. This will most probably be a different figure to calculating which directories take the most space on a live filesystem because I need to account for how often are files changing (and therefore taking space on incremental backups) and how compressible are files. I know that while many other archive formats store compressed files as different entities inside the archive file, .tar.gz files do not, and therefore it is impossible to get an exact amount of storage taken in the archive by a single file after compression. Are there any tools to calculate at least some estimates?

But after running Windows Update(which finds drivers for the hardware on my laptop), I only had to install a few (the ones with Unidentified Device) I'm wondering if this is good enough? or would I skip some important drivers like Chipset Thermo management etc etc that could potentially cause harm to my laptop?

    Is it possible to use SFTP on Linux and restrict a user account to ONE directory such that no other directory listing can be obtained? Yes, I must use SFTP, FTP is only used by people that love getting hacked. For instance I want someone to modify files in /var/www/code/ but I don't want them to be able modify anything else. I don't even want them to see the contents /tmp/. (I will accept a "quick and dirty" solution, as long as it is secure.)

Outlook 2010 keeps losing the search index so when I search for an email it has the yellow bar saying: search results may be incomplete because items are still being indexed Clicking on the bar says eg: 49200 items remaining to be indexed If it makes any difference, this is an IMAP account. If I leave Outlook open all day it will eventually index everything. But then say a week/month later it happens all again.

    *.in-addr.arpa domains: lot of requests in my OpenDNS account. I know this should be normal and it's about reverse DNS. I've been reading here and there but still I can't really get how it works and why I get so much requests (higher number than www.google.com). I'd just need someone that, like Einstein suggested, could explain to me what this reverse dns is used for like he would explain it to his grandmother :) Thanks a lot!
