    What data type should be selected in case of Currency value column in SQL server. I have read some where on web Working on customer implementations, we found some interesting performance numbers concerning the money data type. For example, when Analysis Services was set to the currency data type (from double) to match the SQL Server money data type, there was a 13% improvement in processing speed (rows/sec). Is it true??

    1) What is int? Is it any different from the struct System.Int32? I understand that the former is a C# alias (typedef or #define equivalant) for the CLR type System.Int32. Is this understanding correct? 2) When we say: IComparable x = 10; Is that like saying: IComparable x = new System.Int32(); But we can't new a struct, right? or in C like syntax: struct System.In32 *x; x=>someThing = 10; 3) What is String with a capitalized S? I see in Reflector that it is the sealed String class, which, of course, is a reference type, unlike the System.Int32 above, which is a value type. What is string, with an uncapitalized s, though? Is that also the C# alias for this class? Why can I not see the alias definitions in Reflector? 4) Try to follow me down this subtle train of thought, if you please. We know that a storage location of a particular type can only access properties and members on its interface.     I have to support an old C++ program (I am not its author) that uses Extended MAPI to scan mail folders from Outlook 2007. Suddenly the software began meeting problems on one customer's computer by the following scenario: call of OpenMsgStore fails for some folders with code 0x80040102 (MAPI_E_NO_SUPPORT ). for other folders it fails with code 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED). But other folders opened by OpenMsgStore OK. What can be reason of the problem?

    Hi All I have a Text File (Sorry, I'm not allowed to work on XML files :(), and it includes customer records. Each text file looks like: Account_ID: 98734BLAH9873 User Name: something_85 First Name: ILove Last Name: XML Age: 209 etc... And I need to be able to use LINQ to get the data from these text files and just store them in memory. I have seen many Linq to SQL, Linq to BLAH but nothing for Linq to Text. Can someone please help me out abit? Thank you

    Say that I have a table with one column named CustomerId. The example of the instance of this table is : CustomerId 14 12 11 204 14 204 I want to write a query that counts the number of occurences of customer IDs. At the end, I would like to have a result like this : CustomerId NumberOfOccurences 14 2 12 1 11 1 204 2 14 1 I cannot think of a way to do this.

  • JQuery within a partial view not being called

    I have a view that has some jQuery to load a partial view (via a button click) into a div in the view. This works without a problem. However within the partial view I have a very similar bit of jQuery that will load another partial view into a div in the first partial view, but this isn't working, it almost seems like the jQuery in the first partial view isn't being loaded. I have tried searching for solutions, but I haven't managed to find an answer. I have also re-created the jQuery function in a @Ajax.ActionLink which works fine, however I am trying to avoid the Microsoft helpers as I am trying to learn jQuery. My data controls work fine as I have them set to connect in access 2000 format but when I try to open the database in code, I get an unrecognized data format error. What is the best way to replace or add to the database on their machines? Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • SCVMM 2012 R2 - Installing Virtual Switch Fails with Error 2916

    So I've been attempting to teach myself SCVMM 2012 and Hyper-V Server 2012 R2, and I seem to have hit a snag. I've connected my Hyper-V Host to SCVMM 2012 successfully, and created a logical network, logical switch, and uplink port profile (which I essentially blew through with the default settings). However when I attempt to create a virtual switch on my Hyper-V host, I run into an issue. The job will use my logical network settings I created to configure the virtual switch, but when it tries to apply it to the host, it stalls and eventually fails with the following error: Error (2916) VMM is unable to complete the request. The connection to the agent vmhost1.test.loc was lost. WinRM: URL: [h**p://vmhost1.test.loc:5985], Verb: [GET], Resource: [h**p://schemas.microsoft.com/wbem/wsman/1/wmi/root/virtualization/v2/Msvm_ConcreteJob?InstanceID=2F401A71-14A2-4636-9B3E-10C0EE942D33] Unknown error (0x80338126) Recommended Action Ensure that the Windows Remote Management (WinRM) service and the VMM agent are installed and running and that a firewall is not blocking HTTP/HTTPS traffic. Ensure that VMM server is able to communicate with econ-hyperv2.econ.loc over WinRM by successfully running the following command: winrm id –r:vmhost1.test.loc This problem can also be caused by a Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) service crash. If the server is running Windows Server 2008 R2, ensure that KB 982293 (h**p://support.microsoft.com/kb/982293) is installed on it. If the error persists, restart vmhost1.test.loc and then try the operation again. Refer to h**p://support.microsoft.com/kb/2742275 for more details.     On ubuntu 12.04, whenever I try to install a package using apt-get I'm greeted by: The following packages have unmet dependencies: postgresql-9.1 : Depends: postgresql-client-9.1 but it is not going to be instal led E: Unmet dependencies.   • Linux Mint 10 LXDE computer to act as LTSP Server without luck

    So I've tried to make our screen-broken HP laptop to also serve as LTSP Server in addition to various other tasks, without luck, which may be cuz I'm running LM10 LXDE while the instructions are for Ubuntu. Excuse my ignorance.     I have been trying for the past three days to install SQL Server 2008 with SharePoint integrated mode in VMware Player, however I keep getting the following error: Reporting Services in SharePoint integrated mode is not supported for WORKGROUP edition I setup ADDS and have my computer part of that domain (therefore not a WORKGROUP). I am currently at my wits end and any help would be appreciated. Current Roles installed: Application Server, Active Directory Domain Services, Web Server (IIS) Features: Desktop Experience, Group Policy Management, Ink and Handwriting Services, Remote Server Administration Tools, Windows Process Activation Service, .NET Framework 3.5.1 Features
