    Hi, I want to fire a trigger whenever an insert command is fired.. The trigger will access a pl/sql file which can change anytime.. So the query is, if we design the trigger, how can we make sure this dynamic thing happens.. As during the stored procedure, it is not workingg.. I think - it should work for 1) External Procedures 2) Execute Statement Please correct me, if I am wrong.. I was working on External Procedures but i am not able to find the way to execute the external procedure from here on..   • Adding dynamic content with events in jquerymobile

    Currently I'm stuck with a problem in jquerymobile: I'm adding items to a list dynamically and use enhanceWithin() in the end (so styling is correct). After this I like to add click-events for each list item but the problem is, that enhanceWithin runs asynchronous and so I always get the error message "cannot call methods on checkboxradio prior to initialization; attempted to call method 'refresh'" When I delay the event-adding-code it works perfectly.     Hi All, I have an comma delimited string which I want to use in an "IN" clause of the statement. eg: 100,101,102 Since In and "IN" clause I have to quote the individial strings, I use a replace function: eg: select ''''||replace('100,101,102',',',''', ''')||'''' from dual; The above query works, however, when I try to use the output of the above as an input to the "IN" clause, it returns no data. I am restricted by only SQL statements, so I cannot use PL/SQL code. Kindly help. eg: select * from employee where employee_number in ( select ''''||replace('100,101,102',',',''', ''')||'''' from dual); The above does not work. Please let me know what I am missing.

  • Can an Oracle user get a list of its own running sessions without access to v$session?

    I have an application that runs a process and I only want one process to run at a time. Some options are: Use an object lock to prevent subsequent processes running. This would be fine, but I want the calling session to return immediately and not wait for the running session to complete. Use a custom Y/N to set whether a process is running or not. I set a "Y" flag at the start of the process and set it to "N" when it finishes or fails. Also fine but feels like I'm re-inventing the wheel and doesn't feel like the way to go. It also falls short if the running session is killed as the flag stays at "Y". Use dbms_application_info.set_module This approach seems the most robust, but if I'm to know there's an existing running process I think I need to be able to query v$session and I don't want this application to have such wide access. Any ideas?

    I'm looking for the equivalent of Java's thread.join() in PL/SQL. I.e. I want to kick off a number of jobs (threads), and then wait for them to finish. How is this possible in PL/SQL? I'm thinking of using dbms_job.submit (I know it's deprecated). dbms_scheduler is also an alternative.   • How to make html-files with content to be used in a simple ajax site to behave nicely in google?

    I made some ajax sites in the past where I used ajax to get more of a desktop application feeling for my sites and also to keep the site maintainable. My strategy was making one index page and from there pulling in html content from some subpages. (So far I didn't use ajax to send data to the server.) The problem that I ran into is this: I want the subpages to be readable by google since they contain valuable content but once they show up in google's results they lead to the naked html-file (no css nor Javascript). I solved this by putting a javascript redirect (window.location = ...) on the subpages so they lead to the correct page. So as an example let's say I have a site at example.com with some javascript and css and a naked content page that should be loaded via ajax: example.com/content.html. Via ajax I pull in what I need from the content file but since my index.html contains href's to the content.html file (I want the content of my ajax site to be readable without Javascript) it will be indexed by google and gets listed in the search results. But I don't want people to see the naked html file. Hence the redirect that goes to the index page and gets handled by some Javascript to show the content as I want it to be showed. I was wondering if there are nicer solutions to this problem or different approaches.

  • UiScrollView with scrolling content

    I have a detail page of type UIScrollView. On it I want an optional UIImageView and a mandatory UITextView. If no image is available then the image view should not take any space. The text for the text view can be of varying sizes. When the view is loaded with, say, the image and the text I need to be able to scroll through all the contents. So the image slips off the top of the screen. I just can't get this work and I feel it ought to be easy. Any ideas?

    I have a OpenVZ VPS running CentOS 6.3 64 bit and when I try to install JRE 7 64bit using the command: rpm -Uvh java.rpm It gives me this error: Preparing... ########################################### [100%] 1:jre ########################################### [100%] Unpacking JAR files... rt.jar... Error: Could not open input file: /usr/java/jre1.7.0_09/lib/ext/localedata.pack I then tried the command: java -version And it gives me this error: Error occurred during initialization of VM Could not reserve enough space for object heap Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit. Why does this happen if I have more than enough RAM on the VPS to run this (1GB)? Could it be an issue with the host node of the VPS?
