configuration in IOS MDM

I'm reading some docs about MDM. According to "Moile device management protocol" document, server can set config for managed devices by installing profile files onto devices. Things that can config in that file are described in https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/featuredarticles/iphoneconfigurationprofileref/Introduction/Introduction.html. My Questions are: if server install 2 profiles that have different config for the same thing, what will happen? "Moile device management protocol" documents also mention about "Managed App Configuration and Feedback". So what is different between the previous config file with this function of server. Is "Managed App Configuration and Feedback" just for specific app, not for the whole device as profile files. which fields can be config via "Managed App Configuration and Feedback" of MDM? Cant append "used" DOMObject in IE

Area is jQuery object. In other browsers (except IE) i get area with all needed categories, but in IE i get only new received categories(that just create DomObject), other old objects that keeped old DomObject not show. I know it possible make with innerHTML, but i wont keep DomObject, not text. Because DomObject keep many events. And it very hard for browser attach events for each DomObject after refresh area.

problem with the drop down menu with jquery

Figuring out Host's Top Domain with Javascript

Is there a way to figure out what the top domain for the hostname of the current page is? The problem I have is that the script could be on .com domain, or in an international domain like .co.uk So for: jobs.telegraph.co.uk - top domain is:telegraph.co.uk jobs.nytimes.com - top domain is nytimes.com The problem is that location.hostname , and the document.domain give the entire domain. One route is to have a list of all TLDs (too much to carry around) and parse based on that. Another route was if 2 characters after last ".", than internationaltion - hence last two are the TLD, but that does not hold true for all international domains.

Toggled() text input field not working in IE6 in Jquery 1.3.2

I am trying to bind the dialog initiation (which happens in document ready) to a live or delegate for a div. Better to extend a class or modify it directly?

Hi, So I'm working on creating a visualization for a data structure in Java. I already have the implementation of the data structure (Binary Search Tree) to start with, but I need to add some additional functionality to the included node class. As far as conventions and best practices are concerned, should I create a subclass of the node with this added functionality or should I just modify what I have and document it there? My question is similar to what's asked here but that's a little over my head. I know it probably doesn't matter much for what I'm doing, so I'm asking this more as a general thing.

How to move iframe along the DOM without losing it's content?

Is it possible? I have tried to move it, but iframe contents dissapear. Tried to get contents of iframe and place them in the new place but all handlers ofc dissapear. Tried to do the same, but with new jQuery 1.4.2 feature, that clones all events along with it. But it doesn't work :) So I have decided to ask here for help. How to move the damn iframe to another place in the document without losing it's contents? ^_^ Thanks Added: txtad_iframe = ad_container.find('iframe'); its_contents = txtad_iframe.contents(); its_body = its_contents.find("div:first").clone(true).insertAfter(cthis.find('#photos')); new_ad.append(its_body); Here i'm trying to copy contents to new ad container. Disable link in UIWebView in appearance and function

Hello, I wish to disable the href links on a UIWebView. First, I want the look of the link to change so the user doesn't think it is clickable. Second, I want the actual link to not be able to be tapped. I do not want to try webView:shouldStartLoadWithRequest:navigationType: since that not change the appearance of my links. (indexing method returns based on the active language) What I have tried: I created a function that runs a loop over every available language (from settings) appending any translation to a list, evaluating this against the query, pre search. If any colors are matched it converts them backwards into their numeric representation to evaluate against obj.color, but this feels wrong.

Preloading images in HTML, is there a more modern way?

I have an image loaded by JS on a mouse event. It's a fairly big image so I want to make sure it gets pre-loaded. I reemmber some old techniques from years ago and found this example: <SCRIPT LANGUAGE = JAVASCRIPT> if (document.images) { img1 = new Image(); img2 = new Image(); img1.src = "imageName1.gif"; img2.src = "imageName2.gif" } </SCRIPT> I wondered if this is still good/relevant, or maybe browsers automatically detect unused images and preload them anyway? Note my page has to support IE6, so I might still need older techniques anyway, but I'm still interested if more modern browsers have a better way?

How do you use a flash object as a link?

Is it possible to use a flash document embedded in HTML as a link? I tried just wrapping the object element with an a like this: <a href="http://whatever.com"> <object ...> <embed ... /> </object> </a> In Internet Explorer, that made it show the location in the status bar like a link, but it doesn't do anything. I just have the .swf file, so I can't add a click handler in ActionScript.
