• Optimum encoding standard for flowplayer to play mp4

  I'm using flow player 3.1.1 for streaming videos to my browser.The videos are uploaded by the users and they may upload different formats. What will be solution to stream the videos as mp4 , what ever be the format they upload. I'm currently using ffmpeg commands. ffmpeg -i "InputFile.mp4" -sameq -vcodec libx264 -r 35 -acodec libfaac -y "OutputFile.mp4" But video files of more size(say 100mb) are taking a minute more for laoding in to the flowplayer and buffering. I think the problem with my encoding. Welcome your valuable Suggestions!!!

• RDLC item width is dynamic and causing extra pages to be generated (image included)?

  I'm trying to format an RDLC report file in Visual Studio 2008 and I am having a formatting issue. I have a list at the bottom that contains a matrix that expands horizontally to the right. That pink box is just to visualize the problem I'm having. When the report is rendered the matrix expands and instead of filling the pink box with the matrix is pushes the space in the pink box to the right resulting in an extra page when printing the reports. One solution would be to shrink the pink box to be the size of the matrix which I've done. But then when the matrix grows the fields at the top of the report get pushed to the right by the same amount as the growth of the matrix. Can someone please let me know what they think the solution would be? Thank you!

• Can I programatically determine if a PNG is animated?

  I have PNG (as well as JPEG) images uploaded to my site. They should be static (i.e. one frame). There is such thing as APNG. (it will be animated in Firefox). According to the Wikipedia article... APNG hides the subsequent frames in PNG ancillary chunks in such a way that APNG-unaware applications would ignore them, but there are otherwise no changes to the format to allow software to distinguish between animated and non-animated images. Does this mean it is impossible to determine if a PNG is animated with code? If it is possible, can you please point me in the right direction PHP wise (GD, ImageMagick)?

• Combinig JQuery datapicker with input field validation /filter

  I am using the JQueryui Datepicker. But it doesn't really affect values entered manually in the input-field. Is there some way I can use the same (client) code to specify mask / validation on the input field (when the datapicker is not used - not just have datepicker output the correct format). What would be the most consistent way to do this in the JQuery framework? Thanks Remarks It seems jQuery put som restraints on input (I.e. I can only enter digits- mask "yymmdd") so the main thing is to get validation.

  Hello, I'm trying to write a Delphi program that will loop through each worksheet in an Excel file and format some cells. I'm receiving an error while trying to use the for-in loop over the Workbook.Worksheets collection, though. The error is specifically: [DCC Error] Office.pas(36): E2431 for-in statement cannot operate on collection type 'Sheets' because 'Sheets' does not contain a member for 'GetEnumerator', or it is inaccessible The line of code this occurs for is: for Worksheet in Workbook.Worksheets do The definition of Worksheet and Workbook is as follows: var ExcelApp: ExcelApplication; var Workbook: ExcelWorkbook; var Worksheet: ExcelWorksheet; I'm porting this code to Delphi from C#, in which it works. • How would I detect horizontal-black lines using ImageMagick?

  So I have what is essentially a spreadsheet in TIFF format. There is some uniformity to it...for example, all the column widths are the same. I want to de-limit this sheet by those known-column widths and basically create lots of little graphic files, one for each cell, and run OCR on them and store it into a database. The problem is that the horizontal lines are not all the same height, so I need to use some kind of graphics library command to check if every pixel across is the same color (i.e. black). And if so, then I know I've reached the height-delimiter for a cell. How would I go about doing that? (I'm using RMagick)

• Parameters with dots on the URI

  In my application, there is a resource, machine, and a nested resource from machine: ip. I want to be able to access the URI of an Ip typing the ip address. The URI should be something like this: /machines/m123/ips/192.168.0.1.xml Where "m123" is the name of the machine and "192.168.0.1" is one of the ips of that machine. The problem here is that rails miss understand the dots from the ip and the format. When I try to access this page, i get: No route matches "/machines/m123/ips/192.168.0.1.xml" And if I replace the dots for any other character it works, witch means that rails isn't handling the dots on the URI. Is there any way to enter a more complex regexp on the routes to make sure rails can treat it the way I want? I'm using rails 2.3.5 and ruby 1.8.7. Thank you.

  Hi Guy, I have a 3-multidimentional array : int[][][] env; which i would like to initialize with data in a text file. The data in the text file looks like this: { { { 0, 1,-1}, { 0, 2,-1}, {-1,-1,-2}, { 0, 0, 0} }, { { 0, 0,-1}, { 0, 0,-1}, {-1,-1,-2}, { 0, 0, 0} } } Actually the accolades can be removed and replaced with different characters if it is necessary. If there are any better way to format the values in the text file, then it is welcomed. I am looking for the best way to initialize the array in the java program with the values from the text file. • Can a user-chosen image be inserted directly into a JEditorPane?

  What I am trying to do is open up a JFilechooser that filters jpeg,gif and png images, then gets the user's selection and inserts it into the JEditorPane. Can this be done? or am i attempting something impossible?   Have a few questions related to adding sounds to my game, specifically intro music (for splash), background music (loop) and button event sounds. Hope you can share your knowledge on this. 1) Should I use compressed sounds or uncompressed sounds? Or perhaps a combination of the two? Are there any limitations on the iPhone hardware that I should be aware of -- for example, the ability to play multiple compressed sounds? 2) What's the best audio format for my purpose? 3) For background music, I am thinking of using AVAudioPlayer. • Neglect empty cells while refreshing

  I have an excel macro which refreshes the worksheet. However, if the file (in .csv format) with which the worksheet is being refreshed has empty cells, it's shifting the data from other columns and placing the data in wrong columns. However,if I manually refresh the sheet, it's working fine. I don't know how I can fix this. I just want my whole .csv file including empty cells to appear as it is in the worksheet. • Effective methods for reading and writing large files in C

  I'm writing an application that deals with very large user-generated input files. The program will copy about 95 percent of the file, effectively duplicating it and switching a few words and values in the copy, and then appending the copy (in chunks) to the original file, such that each block (consisting of between 10 and 50 lines) in the original is followed by the copied and modified block, and then the next original block, and so on. The user-generated input conforms to a certain format, and it is highly unlikely that any line in the original file is longer than 100 characters long. Which would be the better approach? a) To use one file pointer and use variables that hold the current position of how much has been read and where to write to, seeking the file pointer back and forth to read and write; or b) To use multiple file pointers, one for reading and one for writing. I am mostly concerned with the efficiency of the program, as the input files will reach up to 25,000 lines, each about 50 characters long. Thanks!

  So today I downloaded Apache Commons Lang library (binary, zip format). I extracted it to C:\eclipse\commons-lang-2.5 folder. There are a commons-lang-2.5.jar, a commons-lang-2.5-javadoc.jar, and a commons-lang-2.5-sources.jar inside, and a folder for HTML Javadoc. I started Eclipse, added commons-lang-2.5.jar, and set its source and Javadoc respectively as the screenshot below. My question is, is there a convenient or standard way to add external libraries? Or am I actually doing the right thing?

• .net c# text box date with mask - setup

  I have a c# .net project and want an input text box for a date value. I want it to display a default value of mm/dd/yyyy and then allow users to enter valid dates. I have tried using a masked text box but it doesn't like having the above format. If i try and use //__ looks naff and so does 00/00/0000 and of course if you put in '0' like 03/11/2009 you get 3/11/29 because the 0's are deleted as part of the mask - so what is the best way to set up an input box like this, effectively with a mask, only allowing numbers, and validation (though at this point I am not so worried about that). It appears that the getJson() method is working fine as far as parsing the json goes. • Where can I learn about JNDI strings?

  How do you know how to form a JNDI string? I know there must be a format and that the divisions must mean something but I haven't been able to find a good resource that explains them. For example: java:comp/env/wm/default. This is supposed to connect to a WorkManager in Websphere with the name of default. But what does the "java", "comp", "env" mean? I know what the wm/default mean because that's the JNDI name put in the WorkManager, but what does the rest mean? Thanks

• Reading what is in the vsdiagnostics blob in Azure (1.7)

  I've enabled Diagnostics in one of my Worker roles and published it to Azure. There was a new blob container created called "vsdiagnostics" and contained within in are two binary files. I'm assuming that these files contain the output of my Trace statements, but I'm unable to open these files as I have no idea what format they are in. I've not found anything on www.windowsazure.com about it and most of the tools they recommend are very outdated. I have installed Cerebrata's Azure Diagnostics Manager, but that isn't able to load the Trace Logs. If anyone could point me in the right direction I'd be grateful!

• Grabbing values from Expression.Blend.SampleData

  I am trying to figure out how to grab a value from Expression.Blend.SampleData. If my id is equal to a drop down for example, I can grab it by doing this: ((Expression.Blend.SampleData.MyDatabase.something)(MyDropDown.SelectedItem)).description; I need some way to place my own value where (MyDropDown.SelectedItem) is. Visual studio wants me to convert it a "Expression.Blend.SampleData.MyDatabase.something" format. I have tried a few ways to do this but I have been unsuccessful. Any Ideas? EDIT I am starting to think there is no way in Silverlight to do this
