  • Working around Gmail mailing-list “feature.”

    I'm using Google Apps for my domain's e-mail via IMAP. Whenever I send mail to a mailing list, I don't receive a copy of my own mail back in my inbox. According to Google, this is a "feature." Is there a way to disable this "feature" so that all mail I send to mailing lists appears in my inbox just like all other e-mail? Perhaps something along the lines of this method for disabling Google's spam filter??

  • Script or Batch File to Automate Logon from Welcome Screen

    Is there a script or batch file to automate the log-on process from the XP Welcome screen? As all details are the same Username, Password, and Domain in a room of 30 machines. The reason I don't use Windows AutoAdminLogon is I only want to logon temporary at different times as a user to run such things as online test for a class of high school students without the students logging on individually first, also it would be useful for admin tasks if I can change/specify the user details.

  • Why does my mail get marked as spam?

    I Have the server "afspraakmanager.be". It matches everything not to be a spam server.(it isn't by the way): it has reverse dns, spf,dkim,... . But hotmail marks it as spam.   • PC freezing when used to print labels

    Hi I have a windows XP machine that is used to print labels from a Zebra label printer. It is connected a member of the domain. I am getting reports that when people try to use the computer it will sometimes be frozen to the point where they have to physically shut the machine down and boot to get it responding. (this happens about once a day).   • Erratic DNS name resolution

    Hi all, We have a client we host a web for (blog.foobar.es). We do not manage foobar.es's DNS setup, we just told them to point blog.foobar.es to our web server's IP. We have noticed that sometimes we cannot browse to blog.foobar.es, but we can browse to other sites on that server. Troubleshooting a bit using host(1) yields something funny: $ host blog.foobar.es 8.8.8.8 Using domain server: Name: 8.8.8.8 Address: 8.8.8.8#53 Aliases: Host blog.foobar.es not found: 3(NXDOMAIN) , being 8.8.8.8 one of Google's public DNS servers. However, sometimes the same server resolves the name correctly (!). Another funny thing, is that our ISP's DNS servers sometimes say: $ host blog.foobar.es 80.58.61.250 Using domain server: Name: 80.58.61.250 Address: 80.58.61.250#53 Aliases: blog.foobar.es has address x.x.x.x Host blog.foobar.es not found: 3(NXDOMAIN) Which I don't really understand.   • what does "crap" mean in samba logs

    Hi All, I have been googling and googling and can't find a conclusive answer. In log files for samba, I see things like the following: "[11560]: pam auth crap domain:" & "NTLM CRAP authentication for user" I'm hoping this stands for something like "Challenge Response Auth Protocol" or something, but when I show the logs to people that aren't technical, I usually get questions or looks.     I am the guy that was closest to the server :( and am actually a developer. I am getting this error, There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request, when a machine on the domain is trying to be accessed from other machines from the network. Accessing other machines from this machine works as expected. How should I go about to fix this? We are running a Windows Server 2003 and XP Pro clients.

  • Import mBox file from Horde to Gmail

    I just transfered my domain from a third party which hosted Horde as my mail client to Google Apps. I need to import all of my mail from the mbox files I exported from Horde into Gmail now. I tried GML but it chokes on the mbox file saying that it is not well formatted. I have tried exporting multiple times from Horde and from multiple accounts. I get the same error on all of the mbox files. Any ideas?

    Hello There, this is my first Serverfault Question: I found myself this afternoon Setting up a Win Server 2008 R2 system for use with Team foundation source code control, and in order to give team-mates right to connect, i had to create user account for each of them (10 persons) (I can't and I don't want to create a domain). The point is that, after that, all that user accounts are showing in the login screen. Can i set those accounts to not show there? How? Thanks in advance

  • s3fs not maintaining uid/gid

    I'm mounting s3 using s3fs with the following command: sudo /usr/local/bin/s3fs -o use_cache=/tmp,uid=1000,gid=1000,allow_other svn.domain.com /svn Allow_other is confirmed to be working along with cache. However, no variation/different placement of the uid/gid's is having any affect in the meta data on S3. Both the uid and gid come up as '0' in S3. I have created a user called svn with uid of 1000 to see if that would fix the problem. No luck.

I want when I type foo.localtest.me in TS client to connect automaticaly on the 127.0.0.1:3389 is it possible or do I need a proxy to translate port regarding domain name.

  • Connect to ArcGIS Server w/ ArcCatalog

    How does one add a workstation account to the agsadmin group on the server? Does this require both machines to be on the same Windows domain? A colleague cannot connect via ArcCatalog but I don't know how to add his account to the group because the account does not exist on the server. (Oddly I can connect from my machine, but my account is also not a member of the agsadmin group.)

  • Can't get DHCPd to assign IPs to unknown clients

    I'm using Webmin to admin our DHCPd server. But I'm having a hard time getting it to assign IP addresses to unknown clients. The only way I can get it to assign an IP is to make sure a host is added to DHCPd as a host so that it gets a static-lease IP assigned to it. I thought "Allow Unknown Clients" was the key, but it still isn't assigning IPs to unknown clients. I have a pool setup so that the unknown clients should get an IP between 10.20.0.200 - 10.20.0.249. Here is the config file.
