If I change controls:InfoBar to Control, which InfoBar inherits from, I get the same exception. What am I doing wrong?

I have already made an application that gets special text messages ( starting with !farenc! ) and I know how to Encrypt/Decrypt the messages as well. The problem is that I don't know how to edit a text message after it's arrived (for decryption).   • Java Ugly Rounding Error?

    Using series.add(180, 1); produces a perfectly valid chart like this (little red dot at the bottom with some PolarItemRenderer Mods!) but using series.add(3000/(6000/360), 1); produces this beast: I assume it's because somewhere, 6000/360 = 16.6... is getting rounded? How can I stop this happening? Thanks :)

We set a breakpoint at line of "beep", then lunch the test application under ide debug mode, when ide stops at the breakpoint line (qry.post has been executed), at this time we use microsoft access to open test.mdb and open table aaa you will find there are no any changes in table aaa, if you let the ide continue running after pressing f9 you can find a new record is inserted in to table aaa, but if you press ctrl+f2 to terminate the application at the breakpoint, you will find the table aaa has no record been inserted, but in normal circumstance, a new record should be inserted in to the table aaa after qry.post executed. who can explain this problem , it troubles me so long time. thanks !!! BTW, the ide is delphi 2010, and the access mdb file is created by microsoft access 2007 under windows 7

I need the square image in this case to pass through events to the circle behind it. The square has an element cut out of it (transparent). What is happening now is that the circle event only registers if I click on the region that is not covered by the square. Surely there has to be a way to bubble this event, or click-through?

    I come from an ant background, and I'm starting to use msbuild. I want to create a .proj file with targets for clean, compile, deploy, etc. In ant, I would expect my user to run ant -project-help to get a list of the targets with their descriptions. There doesn't appear to be anything like this with msbuild, so I was thinking of setting DefaultTargets to "Help" and adding this target: <Target Name="Help"> <Message Text="/t:Clean - Remove all bin folders and generated files"/> <Message Text="/t:Compile - Generate assembly"/> <Message Text="/t:Deploy - Install the assembly"/> </Target> When I run msbuild, I see this: Microsoft (R) Build Engine Version 3.5.30729.1 [Microsoft .NET Framework, Version 2.0.50727.3053] Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation 2007. All rights reserved. Build started 5/13/2010 9:00:00 AM.   • SQL Server 2008 R2

    Hi all, I heard on the grapevine that Microsoft will be releasing SQL Server 2008 R2 within a year. Though I initially thought this was a patch for the just released 2008 version, I realised that it’s actually a completely different version that you would have to pay for. (Am I correct, if you had SQL Server 2008, would you have to pay again if you wanted to upgrade to 2008 R2?) If you’re already running SQL Server 2008, would you say it’s still worth the upgrade? Or does it depend on the size of your company and current setup. For what I’ve initially read, I do get the impression that this version would be more useful for the very high end hardware setup where you want to have very good scalability. With regard to programming, is there any extra enhancements/support in there which you’re aware of that will significantly help .NET Products/Web Development? Initially found a couple of links on it, but I was wondering if anyone had anymore info to share on subject as I couldn’t find nothing on SO about it? Thanks. New SQL Server R2 Microsoft Link on it. Microsoft SQL 2008 R2 EDIT: More information based on the Express Edition One very interesting thing about SQL Server 2008 R2 concerns the Express edition. Previous express versions of SQL Server Express had a database size limit of 4GB. With SQL Server Express 2008 R2, this has now been increased to 10GB !! This now makes the FREE express edition a much more viable option for small & medium sized applications that are relatively light on database requirements. Bear in mind, that this limit is per database, so if you coded your application cleverly enough to use a separate database for historical/archived data, you could squeeze even more out of it!   • Why does a Silverlight application show a blank browser screen when created from exported template?

    I created a silverlight app (without website) named TestApp, with one TextBox: <UserControl x:Class="TestApp.MainPage" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" xmlns:d="http://schemas.microsoft.com/expression/blend/2008" xmlns:mc="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/markup-compatibility/2006" mc:Ignorable="d" d:DesignWidth="640" d:DesignHeight="480"> <Grid x:Name="LayoutRoot"> <TextBlock Text="this is a test"/> </Grid> </UserControl> I press F5 and see "this is a test" in my browser (firefox). I select File | Export Template | name it TestAppTemplate and save it. I create a new silverlight app based on the above template. The MainPage.xaml has the exact same XAML as above. I press F5 and see a blank screen in my browser. I look at the HTML source of both of these and they are identical. Everything I have compared in both projects is identical. What do I have to do so that a Silverlight application which is created from my exported template does not show a blank screen? (creating a WPF application from an exported template like this works fine)

  • Weird behavior with windows startup C#

    Hi, I've created an application with the option to start on Windows startup. First I did this via the Registry, like this: private void RunOnStartup(bool RunOnStartup) { Microsoft.Win32.RegistryKey key = Microsoft.Win32.Registry.CurrentUser.OpenSubKey("SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Run", true); if (RunOnStartup) { key.SetValue(ProgramTitle, System.Windows.Forms.Application.ExecutablePath.ToString()); } else { key.DeleteValue(ProgramTitle, false); } } And this worked, but not correctly. It started the .exe but with the same behavior as it was a new one with the default 'config.xml' it needs. Which is obviously wrong. I did not manage to find out what was wrong, so I tried it differently: create a shortcut in the Startup folder. Couldn't go wrong I figured, I mean, it's just a shortcut right?     I've got a vs2010 solution containing an ASP.Net 4 website, and a Silverlight 4 project. The website is linked to the Silverlight project ('Map') and the ClientBin folder contains a Map.xap file. The Map project is very simple. It contains the default App.xaml and App.xaml.cs files. The MainPage.xaml file looks like this <UserControl x:Class="Map.MainPage" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" xmlns:d="http://schemas.microsoft.com/expression/blend/2008" xmlns:mc="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/markup-compatibility/2006" mc:Ignorable="d" d:DesignHeight="380" d:DesignWidth="800"> <Canvas x:Name="MainCanvas" Width="800" Height="380"> <Canvas.Background> <ImageBrush ImageSource="map.png" Stretch="None"/> </Canvas.Background> </Canvas> The code behind for that looks like this: public partial class MainPage : UserControl { public MainPage() { InitializeComponent(); throw new Exception(); } } Inside one of the website pages I have the default object pointing to my Silverlight xap When I run the website, I see my background image on the Canvas in the Silverlight window, so I know it's working in that sense. However, I cannot break on any breakpoints set in the MainPage.xaml.cs file (in IE). I have checked the correct settings for Silverlight debugging. And see that Exception I'm throwing in the MainPage constructor? I'm not seeing that either. In fact, nothing I put in there seems to be run at all, but I know the xaml is rendering because I can see my canvas background. What am I not getting here?
