  I am trying to code in javascript (to avoid validation triggers at the server) to clear a text box if the checkbox associated with it is unchecked. I have this code ... <input type="checkbox" id="chkOTHER" onclick="document.getElementById('txtOtherFlag').value='';" /> <asp:TextBox ID="txtOtherFlag" runat="server" AutoPostBack="True" CausesValidation="True" ValidationGroup="ValidationGroup1"></asp:TextBox> The problem is the Javascript inside the checkbox is not triggering to remove the value in the text box. Even if this worked, it's incorrect as it would blank out the text box every time the checkbox is triggered whether it is checked or not. I need to resolve this in the client side only. Thank you

  Hi All, I have a function in Access VBA that takes four parameters.The fourth parameter is a "where clause" that I use in an SQL statement inside the function. The function fails when I include the fourth parameter (where clause). When I remove this fourth parameter, the function just works fine. I am not sure if there is anything wrong with the syntax of the fourth parameter ? • WPF - hiding listbox items

  Hi, I have a listbox where the itemtemplate is using a style. The styles specifies a border with a datatrigger setting the visibility of the border to collapsed depending on a property. This works fine except I can still see a very narrow line for each item, in the list, that is collapsed. I was hoping someone could help with how to set the visibility so that there are no visible traces as this is quite apparent when consecutive items have been collapsed. The datatemplate specifies an outer border with a dockpanel inside of this - there are then stackpanels docked to this. Any help is appreciated.

  I would like to use .htaccess to password protect all inner pages of Magento, except the home page. e.g. http://www.example.com/abc (password protect) http://www.example.com (home page, no need to password protect) I tried to use the setifenv request_uri = "/" => allow, but didn't work. It still password protect all pages including the homepage. I also tried a few ways inside the Magento admin URL rewrite, but those won't work either. Any expert can help? thx E

  (This is in drupal, but I don't really think that matters.) I have a big list of properties that I need to map between two objects, and in one, the value that I need to map is buried inside an array. I'm hoping to avoid hard-coding the property names in the code. If I have a class like this: class Product { public $colors, $sizes; } I can access the properties like this: $props = array('colors', 'sizes'); foreach ($props as $p) { $this->$p = $other_object->$p; } As far as I can tell, if each of the properties on the left are an array, I can't do this: foreach ($props as $p) { $this->$p[0]['value'] = $other_object->$p; } Is that correct, or am I missing some clever way around this?

  I have a square <div> (70px x 70px) which will contain an image of a variable dimensions(Square, landscape or potrait). I want this image to be symmetrically centered inside the <div>. how do I get it..? <div class="img-polaroid" style="width: 70px; height: 70px; background-color: black; text-align:center;"> <image src='.base_url("images/store/images/".$image->image).' /> </div> The actual size of the image can be greater than 70px x 70px. • JQuery animate behaviour with inline-block elements

  I'm using JQuery to animate two divs, one on top of the other, inside a another div. The effect is like a button with the top and bottom halves opening up and down to reveal some contents. The idea is to have a number of these 'buttons' in line using float:left When a button is clicked, the script checks if another button is open, if so, closes that button and opens the clicked button. This works fine, except I want to change float:left to display:inline-block on the container div class (to prevent wrapping of a number of buttons if the browser is resized). The problem is the layout of buttons breaks as JQuery animate seems to be changing the vertical position of the button containers while animating. See fiddle

  Im trying to improve the following CASE statement to calculate the difference only once. I do it to avoid negative numbers: SELECT (CASE WHEN ((SELECT 100 - (SELECT COUNT(CustomerId) FROM Customers)) > 0) THEN (SELECT 100 - (SELECT COUNT(CustomerId) FROM Customers)) ELSE (0) END) This not only looks stupid, but also is not thread-safe. I tried the following, but I get an error message "Invalid column name 'diff'." SELECT (CASE WHEN ((SELECT 100 - (SELECT COUNT(CustomerId) FROM Customers) as diff) > 0) THEN (diff) ELSE (0) END) How can this be simplified? Is there an in-built SQL function that already does this job? EDIT: Sorry, forgot to mention that the select statement is inside of a view declaration, so I cant declare variables.

  I want to write a function which will be repeatedly called by other functions many times. Inside this function it is supposed to generate a lot of random numbers and this part will be treated in parallel. If only for one run, the seed can be chosen differently for each thread, so that the random numbers will be uncorrelated. However, if this function will be called the 2nd time, it seems that the random numbers will repeat unless the seed will be again changed during the later calls. So my question is, is there a good way to generate the random numbers or reset the seed so that the random numbers generated by repeated calls to this function and also by different threads are really random? For a user control with lots of database activity, I would like to use jQuery to set the selected values of all of the dropdowns to their "current" value. I want to do this to make the page appear to have finished the database call. My jQuery skill is not the best, but I believe I need to use the pageLoad().   I have this code on my system, and it works very well in all "real browsers", but now I need put this working on IE10. Because this development is inside a CMS I can't do upgrade on Jquery or UI. The $ version is 1.3.2 an UI version is 1.7.3. In IE I don't receive any message of error. And the Items with a class = "container myDevelopment" aren't sortables. • QuickPdf - Memory leak

  I have a method containing code to create a pdf doc using the QuickPdf library. Inside the method, I instantiate a QuickPdf object, create the pdf doc and save it to a file. I then call this method for each file to be generated. Now my problem is that the pdf docs' sizes are increasing with each call to the method even though the contents are basically the same . I am suspecting a memory leak but I cant see where exactly, since the QuickPdf object is being created and disposed each time on each call.

  Hello, In classic MVC the model notifies the view about changes made on it. In C# this means I have to subclass the View I'm interested in and in the subclassed class register to the model's event. For example, if I were to implement MVC using C# and Winforms, I had to subclass TextBox class and then register inside the MyTextBox's constructor for the model events. Am I correct? How was this issued in Smalltalk? Does one also need to subclass every View in order to register the model's events, or is there some way to dynamically add events to the views on the fly? Thanks

  Hi, I'm using the canvas feature of html5. I've got some images to draw on the canvas and I need to check that they have all loaded before I can use them. I have declared them inside an array, I need a way of checking if they have all loaded at the same time but I am not sure how to do this. Here is my code: var color = new Array(); color[0] = new Image(); color[0].src = "green.png"; color[1] = new Image(); color[1].src = "blue.png"; Currently to check if the images have loaded, I would have to do it one by one like so: color[0].onload = function(){ //code here } color[1].onload = function(){ //code here } If I had a lot more images, Which I will later in in development, This would be a really inefficient way of checking them all. How would I check them all at the same time?

  Hello, I am using jQuery for a simple website and have a main page 'index.html' which can load some content (e.g. 'info1.html' or 'info2.html') via jQuery ajax requests, and display the result of these requests inside an element in the 'index.html' page. If a user somehow visits say 'info1.html' directly, is their a way to redirect or load the main 'index.html' page? (or what's best practice for this type of thing) as Google is indexing all the small html files used for the ajax requests and sometimes a user can click into the site via these pages. Thanks.

• How to copy tables from one website to another with php?

  I have 2 websites, lets say - example.com and example1.com example.com has a database fruits which has a table apple with 7000 records. I exported apple and tried to import it to example1.com but I'm always getting "MYSQL Server has gone away" error. I suspect this is due to some server side restriction. So, how can I copy the tables without having to contact the system admins? Is there a way to do this using PHP? I went through example of copying tables, but that was inside the same database. Both example.com and example1.com are on the same server.

  I'm creating a site that has a series of four images on the homepage used as navigation with a large image beneath. <div style="width: 696px"> <div class="imglink"></div> <div class="imglink"></div> <div class="imglink"></div> <div class="imglink"></div> </div> <div style="width:696px"> ... </div> The "imglink" divs are 160px wide. I would like the images in the top div to be horizontally spaced evenly inside the div, with the two outer divs flush with the edges of the image below. I've been trying out floats, margins, padding, etc for a couple hours now and can't figure it out. Thanks for your help!
