I am trying to correct a problem with my blog and google “not found” URLs. I thought it might be very simple to correct (!ha!)     HI I have to implement login over SSL in my website. for example cloginForm - this is the form https://www.myweb.com/loginProcess - this is the action which process the form -authenticates user. I am able to do this with usual web form but the problem is the overlay dialog box for login for example if I am on my website home page http://www.myweb.com - notice http and I click a login link there , it shows a small html div with login form (like a litebox).now ,as I am on a non SSL page (http) the data which I post does not get encrypted,and posted to the process action. How do I get around with this so that my overly login also becomes secure. thanks for your help in advance. :)

  • Security Token/Cross Domain Cookie in Classic ASP?

    I have an interesting conundrum. We have a site that is a completely separate domain, we'll say http://www.x.com and our own site that is http://www.y.com. The y.com site is actually a classic ASP site, and we aren't converting it to .NET at this time. The problem is that there is a link on x.com that redirects to y.com from a members area. We want to "authenticate" the user to make sure they are a member from the other site. If they are, they are directed to a members area on y.com. If not, they have to provide login information on y.com. Cookies obviously don't work due to the cross domain security, but is there a way around this? I've also looked at a service for tokens, but I'm not sure exactly how that works in Classic ASP. Any ideas or suggestions?

    I'm in the process of doing some identity consolidation, so I'm providing URLs to me at various locations on the internet. I'm quite active on IRC, so this naturally lead me to wonder whether there was a way to provide a link to my IRC presence. This lead to me finding http://www.w3.org/Addressing/draft-mirashi-url-irc-01.txt which appears to be a draft of an RFC for associating URLs with IRC, which suggests that I would be irc://irc.freenode.net/DRMacIver,isnick Which seems a little on the lame side. Further, this RFC draft has very thoroughly expired (February 28 1997). On the other hand it seems to be implemented in chatzilla at least: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/rt-messaging/chatzilla/irc-urls.html So does anyone know if there's a superseding RFC and/or any other de facto standard for this?

  • Table Disobeys W3C Box Model, Ie8 Ignores Fixed Table Width !

    Hi, I'm having hard time with tables and column widths. Update: I'm using XHTML Strict 1.0. The page is: http://www.pro-turk.net/try The first problem I have is, I have a column with a fixed width of 100px and 4px padding, but it disobeys my padding depending on the value. The column width (as the distance between two borders according to W3C Box Model) is 156 px even if padding is 0 or 4. Only the position of the text changes. According to W3C Box Model ( available at www.pro-turk.net/box_model.png ), borders and paddings aren't included in WIDTH attribute, so why does it render wrongly ? The second problem is, when you look the page I gave with IE8, the first cell in the second row has 150px fixed width, but ie shows it about 50% of the total table width regardless of what i say.

    Hello I am trying to modify a carousel script I have in flash. Its normal function is making some icons rotate and when clicked they zoom in, fade all others and display a little text. On that text I would like to have a link like a "read more". If I use CDATA it wont display a thing, if I use alt char like &#60;a href=&#34;www.google.com&#34;&#62; Read more + &#60;/a&#62; It just displays the text as: <a href="www.google.com"> Read more + </a>. The flash dynamic text box wont render it as html. I dont enough as2 to figure out how to add this.   • Redirects in RoR: Which one to use out of redirect_to and head :moved_permanently?

    Hello, we are making a website that takes a generated incoming link and forwards the user who is clicking on it to another website while saving a record of the action in our DB. I guess it's basically what ad-services like AdSense do. However, what is the best way to redirect the user? I think html-meta-tag-redirects are out of question. So what other options are there? head :moved_permanently, :location => "http://www.domain.com/" This one is a 301-redirect. The next one is a 302: redirect_to "http://www.domain.com" Are there any others? And which is best to use for our case? The links are highly-dynamic and change all the time. We want to make sure we don't violate any existing standards and of course we don't want search-engines to tag us as spammers (which we are not, btw). Thanks!

    I have a script that parses an html page for all the links within it. I am getting all of them fine, but I have a list of domains I want to compare it against. So a sample list contains list=['www.domain.com', 'sub.domain.com'] But I may have a list of links that look like http://domain.com http://sub.domain.com/some/other/page I can strip off the http:// just fine, but in the two example links I just posted, they both should match. The first I would like to match against the www.domain.com, and the second, I would like to match against the subdomain in the list. Right now I am using url2lib for parsing the html. What are my options in completely this task?

  • How do you access URL text following the # sign through Java?

    Using Java (.jsp or whatever) is there a way where I can send a request for this page: http://www.mystore.com/store/shelf.jsp?category=mens#page=2 and have the Java code parse the URL and see the #page=2 and respond accordingly? Basically, I'm looking for the Java code that allows me to access the characters following the hash tag. The reason I'm doing this is that I want to load subsequent pages via AJAX (on my shelf) and then allow the user to copy and paste the URL and send it to a friend. Without the ability of Java being able to read the characters following the hash tag I'm uncertain as to how I would manipulate the URL with Javascript in a way that the server would be able to also read without causing the page to re-load. I'm having trouble even figuring out how to access/see the entire URL (http://www.mystore.com/store/shelf.jsp?category=mens#page=2) from within my Java code...

I know that you cannot use more than one extends, but I am new to django and I do not know the proper syntax for something like this. I am sending link to my user through mail, now I want to send each user a specific URL. so instead of sending the clear text I want to send link with encrypted string URL, which I will decrypt on my home page. Like instead of www.mysite.aspx\mypage?userId=12 i'll send www.mysite.aspx\mypage?UserId=)@kasd12 and the same i'll decrypt on my page so that I'll get the userId = 12. Please let me know if my approach is correct and not and how can I encrypt & decrypt the string in simplest and easier manner. Thanks in advance.
