    I have a forum whereby links to a thread looks like http://www.website.com/comments.php?topic_id=1 How can I make it look like this http://www.website.com/1046302/some-link-desc#12154109 so that when such links are given out, the user is taken directly to that particular comment. I'm particular about the #12154109 . The other part of the URL /1046302/some-link-desc is achieved through .htaccess configuration.

What I am asking is, what is the best way to store and then display this type of data. I want to DISPLAY data from my database to show like it would in the image. Should I have a column in my database for each column on the table, then say either A,B,C or D depending on what column it is in but then how would I display it using PHP in my code provided? Im struggling to find a good way of explaining this, I am sorry.

The first example above, lead me to some pretty funky formatting issues, and it seems like in example 1 <label> should be used in place of <th>.

    Hey guys, I'd like to create a toggle event for 2 different TD's in my table row. the event should show / hide the next table row. <table> <tr> <td>1</td> <td>2</td> <td>3</td> <td>4</td> <td>5</td> <td class="clickable1">6</td> <td class="clickable2">7</td> </tr> <tr><td>this row should be toggled between show/hide once one of the clickable TDs were clicked</td></tr> </table> here's the code i tried to apply but it has applied each one of the classes the event: $('.clickable1,.clickable2').toggle(function() { $(this).parent() .next('tr') .show(); }, function() { $(this).parent() .next('tr') .hide(); }); One more thing: i'm applying on each TR a css hover psuedo class. how can i make the two TRs to be highlighted (like hover effect on two of them) ?   • Radio buttons + array elements

    I have a form that can be dynamically duplicated (with JS) so that the user can enter as much data as he wants. This works great for text inputs, because I just leave the name attribute the same (ending with a []) and then when the values are posted, it just returns me an array. Now I just realized that this doesn't work so well for radio buttons, because the names actually need to be unique for each set. But from the data standpoint, each set only returns one value, so retrieving the data from the POST data wouldn't be a problem, it just screws up the functionality of my form. There's no way around this, is there? I'm just screwed and I can't use arrays?

    I have a multi-line text box. When users simply type away, the text box wraps the text, and it's saved as a single line. It's also possible that users may enter line breaks, for example when entering a "bulleted" lists like: Here are some suggestions: - fix this - remove that - and another thing Now, the problem occurs when I try to display the value of this field. In order to preserve the formatting, I currently wrap the presentation in <pre> - this works to preserve user-supplied breaks, but when there's a lot of text saved as a single line, it displays the whole text block as single line, resulting in horizontal scrolling being needed to see everything. Is there a graceful way to handle both of these cases?
