Luckily all wmi remoting on Server works,So I am trying to edit the rule with Powershell When I enter below code ,the COM object is invoking on local machine.How can I invoke it on remote machine?   • Apache works on http and https, SVN only on http

    I asked a question about this before, and got most of it fixed. If I switch off https redirect and go to http://mydomain.com/svn/test0, I get the authentication window popping up, and I can enter my AD credentials, and bingo. Switching https redirect back on, if I go to http://mydomain.com I am automatically redirected to https, which is what I want, and the 'CerntOS test page' pops up. Perfect. The problem occurs when I want to go to one of my test repos via https.   • Mercurial browser on Windows 2003 takes several refreshes before displaying repositories

    When attempt to browse my Mercurial repositories it usually takes several refreshes before the repository list is displayed. The configuration is as follows: Windows Server 2003 (Dedicated machine hosted by http://www.server4you.com/. Site has anonymous password protection with self-signed SSL. Mercurial 1.5.3 Python 2.6.5 Python for Windows 32 extensions 214 py2.6 isapi-wsgi 0.4.2 The repositories are being served via ISAPI using the standard hgwebdir_wspi.py file (copy to follow). Other problems with the repository server: Before doing a clone/push/etc I have to browse the repositories first otherwise hg on my local machine can not locate the site. I have one a repository with a large changeset that after a minute or so throw error "abort: error: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host". Will be asking another question for this problem.     I use a MAC and I want to completely block ads on my Google Chrome browse. What I mean by completely is that I don't want the ads to be just hidden. I understand that Google Chrome adblock addons currently hide ads, but can't prevent them from downloading. Is there a work around to this problem? Also, I use Firefox as my primary browser and I am on a proxy server on a Local network.

    I have an USB printer, that was discovered and installed properly. At some point, I suppressed it in the printer view of the config panel. If I try to add a new local printer, it says : Only use this option if you don't have an USP printer ( Windows automatically installs USB printer). How can I make windows automatically reinstall the USB printer I accidentally suppressed ? Edit : It is a dell all-in-one 920 printer, and I just tried to download and reinstall dell software.

I'm not looking for a full production log system like Splunk, but something that's a little more flexible than an ssh terminal doing a "tail -f". Perhaps something that will: * Monitor multiple log files to my local machine for searching/analysis later * Allow "alerts" when certain strings appear in the log * Provide some kind of tabbed/dashboard view of the multiple logs being monitored (in total less than 10 logs).

    If anyone has had more than a couple of Microsoft tools or products installed (or a local install of the MSDN library) side by side, you might have noticed that opening help (hitting F1) or opening, say, SQL Server Books Online causes the help indexes to be re-indexed - this is usually after installing a new product or tool. This can be a really, really time consuming exercise! Does anyone know a way to prevent or opt out of having combined help indexes? At best, even just preventing the reindexing at all?

    Is there a way to create a local user account on a Windows 7 Professional machine that stays active only for a certain length of time e.g 12 months? The reason for doing this is we loan out laptops for 12 months to students, however some are less than prompt at bringing them back, if they were locked out of the laptop this would force them to bring the machine back in if they hoped to continue using the laptop. Also a warning would be helpful, although I could do this with a scheduled task.

    We're moving all our Mac's from local logins to OpenDirectory logins in an effort to keep everything secure and to also solve issues we have with a Tiger server buggering permissions on an AFP shared drive. To cut it short, I want users to be able to login to their OpenDirectory account and I then want the AFP share point to mount using the credentials they just logged in with. Or it's simply a case of it's-not-yet-implemented? It seems relatively easy to create a local buffer in memory that mediates the transfer between two remotes, holding both hashes and data. Conversely, is there other (unix) software that implements this functionality?
