    We are designing an online application (college admission form) which mandates the user to upload a scanned copy of his photo along with his signature, so that this information can be used to cross verify the applicant when he appears for a exam + personal interview at a later point in time. This entire process requires a scanner for the applicant to scan his photo / signature into an appropriate size. Is there a better way to capture user identity for such purposes as usage of scanner for capturing signature, photo is a painful process.

  • Eclipse Javadoc tooltip help doesn't show classes' supertypes and interfaces

    I'm talking about the tooltip that pops up when you hover your mouse over a class in your source (which also helps with intellisense and auto completion), which describes what a class/method/etc does. I find it very annoying that it doesn't show what superclass the class (being described) extends or what interfaces it implements. Is there a way to make eclipse show the additional information?

I can find alot about the old SOAP API however for the new AJAX api I cannot find any information on the following: Is this sort of use allowed as the Terms of use are vague Is there a limit to the number of requests per day As you can only get a max of 8 results at a time, is the only way to get the top 100 results to keep requesting the next set and is this an issue?     Anyone know where I can find information on how I can control the USB port on a Droid running Android 2.0? I want to know how to either initialize the USB port or send data across it vi a program. I want to be able to atatch a device to the USB port to act as a switch to control a microservo. So when I said "send data" across the port, I just need to be able to energize the transmit pin on the USB to turn the servo on. Thanks ahead, Tom

Need to know whether this application caused any memory leak. i.e used up some heap memory and not cleared it properly. Can I get this statistics some how?     Are there any repercussions using Negative Primary Keys for tables (Identity Increment -1, Identity Seed -1 in SQL Server 2005)? The reason for this is we're creating a new database to replace an existing one. There are similar tables between the two databases and we'd like the "source" of the information to be transparent to our applications. The approach is to create views that unions tables from both databases. Negative PKs ensures the identities don't overlap.

    Hello all. I am currently working on an application for managing a WPD device. I want to add an option to open the wpd device in windows explorer to view the saved files. Problem is that I can't find a way to open explorer pointing to the device's "folder". I have all information of the device (pnp device id, class name, etc.) Anybody knows a solution?
