• How do I delete the 32k errored document?

  I am having some documents. If I try to open the document then it shows error like "field is too large 32k or view's column & selection formulas are too large" Whenever I try to delete the document, I am getting the same error. I am not able to delete. Okay we can try to get the document via backend, But there, I can not get the document handle. Whatever I try to search then the document collection count is 0. • Creating a Mac OS application that interacts with all text fields

  What would be the first step to creating an application for Mac OS X that would take user interaction from any text field in the system? A couple examples of apps that do this are TextExpander and Typinator. What I want to do would be using similar functions to access Text fields throughout the computer during user input to give other additional options, I'm just not sure where to even start in Xcode and with what type of project to use. Any help or links would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

  I want to write a function that could check every item in a list is true or false. If at least one element is false, it will return true, so that: assert_eq "checkFalse [true; false; true]" (checkFalse [true; true; true]) false; assert_eq "checkFalse [false; false]" (checkFalse [false; true]) true; I am an absolute beginner in OCaml and I don't know how to approach this. I tried using a for loop, something like: let rec checkFalse (bools: bool list) : bool = for i = 0 to bools.length do if bools.length == false then false else... (I don't know how to continue) Then it said "Unbound record field...." I also tried using find like: if (find false bools != Not_found) then true else false But my ways did not work. • jquery split() and indexOf results in "Object doesn't support this property or method"

  I have the following code: var selected = $('#hiddenField').val().split(","); ... if (selected.indexOf(id) > 0) { ... set value ... } I'm dynamically creating a CheckBoxList, and trying to remember the state of the checkboxes by putting the selected IDs into the hidden field. I get an error stating that "Object doesn't support this property or method". My assumption is that selected is an array, which should support indexOf. Is that incorrect?

• I want a machine to learn to categorize short texts

  Hello, I have a ton of short stories about 500 words long and I want to categorize them into one of, let's say, 20 categories: Entertainment Food Music etc I can hand-classify a bunch of them, but I want to implement machine learning to guess the categories eventually. What's the best way to approach this? Is there a standard approach to machine learning I should be using? I don't think a decision tree would work well since it's text data...I'm completely new in this field. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

• Using a Time Zone Conversion When Dynamically Generating Results

  Hello, If I understand correctly, the code below converts $row["datesubmitted"] from one timezone to another. I would like to print the converted $row["datesubmitted"] dynamically in an HTML table. Is there a way that I can apply the conversion below for each row that is pulled from MySQL? I assume that I can't just plug $row["dt"] into the code since there is no field called "dt" in the MySQL that I am using. • IPhone Development Profile Expired

  I really combed this site and others. I read and re-read the related links here and the Apple docs. I'm sorry, but either I am obviously missing something right under my nose, or this Apple profile/certificate stuff is a bit convoluted. Here it is: I have a product in the App Store. I have updated it several times and users like it. My development profile recently expired just when I was improving the app for its next release. I can run the app in the simulator. I can compile and put the distribution build on my iPhone just fine. I went to the Apple portal and renewed the development profile. I downloaded it and installed it in Xcode. I see it in the Organize window. I see it on my iPhone. I CANNOT put the debug build on my iPhone to debug or run with Instruments. The message is that either there is not a valid signed profile or it is untrusted. I subsequently tried to download and install the certificate to my Mac's keychain. Still no success. I checked the code signing section of Project settings and also for the target and the root. All appears to indicate that it is using the expected development profile for debug. Yes, I had deleted the old profile from my iPhone, from the Organizer. I cleaned the Xcode cache and all targets. I have done all of this several times and in varying sequences to try to cover every possibility. I am ready to do anything to be able to debug with Instruments in order to check for leaks or high memory usage. Even though the distribution compile runs fine on my iPhone and plays well with other running processes, I will not release anything without a leaks/memory test. Any ideas will be appreciated. If I missed something obvious, please forgive me - it was not due to just posting a question without searching for similar postings. Thanks!

• How does Hibernate detect dirty state of an entity object?

  Is it using some kind of byte codes modification to the original classes? Or, maybe Hibernate get the dirty state by compare the given object with previously persisted version? I'm having a problem with hashCode() and equals() methods for complicated objects. I feel it would be very slow to compute hash code if the object has collection members, and cyclic references are also a problem. If Hibernate won't use hashCode()/equals() to check the dirty state, I guess I should not use equals()/hashCode() for the entity object (not value object), but I'm also afraid if the same operator (==) is not enough. So, the questions are: How does Hibernate know if a property of an object is changed? Do you suggest to override the hashCode()/equals() methods for complicated objects? What if they contains cyclic references? And, also, Would hashCode()/equals() with only the id field be enough?

  Hi, I have a JQuery dialog that requires the user to enter certain information. In this form I have a "continue" button. I would like this "continue" button to only be enabled once all the fields have content in them else it will remain disabled. I wrote a function that is called everytime a field status has changed however I don't know how to enable and disable the dialog button from this function. Any ideas? • why refresh evrytime?

  I have form below which contains a text field and a button. when i start typing it shows hints from my database and on clicking button or hiting enter key it displys search results. ajax technology is used for both hints and search results and it is working well but THE PROBLEM IS THAT IT WORKS ONLY THE FIRST TIME PAGE LOADS OR ONLY AFTER REFRESHING THE PAGE. IF I WANT ANOTHER SEARCH IT DOESNT RESPOND, JUST SHOWS THE PREVIOS SEARCH RESULT UNLESS THE PAGE IS REFRESHED. <input type="text" id="txt" onkeyup="showhint(this.value)"/> <input type="button" value="search" onclick="searchresult()"/> what kind of problem is this?? any solution?? plz plz plz

  I am using a dynamic model found on the forum of sencha. function modelFactory(name, fields) { alert(fields); return Ext.define(name, { extend: 'Ext.data.Model', fields: fields }); } I placed the alert(fields) to check what happens with the field because it was not working. I get this: [object Object],[object Object],[object Object] How can i change this into a correct way to use it in the fields? Is there a way to check if the model has been created? • Passing arguments stored in a file when running projects in Netbeans

  My problem is that I can't remember how I can pass the arguments when running a project in netbeans. There is not enough documentation on web if anybody could help it would be highly appreciated. Here is what I know, you can change the run configurations under run Set Project Configuration Default Configuration there there is a entry space where zou can enter the arguments to be passed. I have a file called "AsciiShop.java" which to be runned and I need to pass the arguments stored in a file called "asciishop-A04-PP.i1". When I am using terminal or cmd.exe I can run the program with java AsciiShop < asciishop-A04-PP.i1 and it works perfect. I want to be able to the same on netbeans. I have placed the file in the default working directory which contains src and bin folders. What should I write in the arguments entry field on the project configurations window, so that it works same like java AsciiShop < asciishop-A04-PP.i1

• Drupal Webforms module - Form results say "Array" instead of form values

  I have a simple form built with the Webforms module in Drupal. The standard textfield form fields work perfectly. However if I use the preset date or time form values, they don't get emailed properly when the form is submitted. For instance, if there was a date field in my form, it would submit fine and render on the results page just fine, but if I wanted that value to be included in an email, it would show up as "Array" within the text of the email instead of showing the date. There is an open support issue within the module issues page, but I'm hoping for any additional help.

  Is it standard/intended behaviour that the value of a hidden form field is not bound to the view model (nor is a query string value)? Example: <%= Html.Hidden("test", "13" )%> if my poco view model contains a property test it should be bound shouldn't it?! i have to set it explicitely in the controller at the moment which kind of defeats the objective doesn't it? bla( formviewmodel m, string test) { m.test = test; } any feedback appreciated. thanks! christian

• What is your company's stance on Developers using Laptops?

  I am a developer and my company is moving towards a "no laptop" policy in fear of them being lost or stolen and source code being compromised. Now I don't work for NASA, the military or anything labeled Top Secret but our code is very important to our business nonetheless (as all source code would be). I'll be honest, I disagree with this policy against laptops and wanted to see what others think. I'd like to know: What is your team/company's stance on laptops Your company's size and/or field (small, medium or large, Fortune 500, etc). • Preventing Spoofing with Paypal

  I have a scenario where i need to have a user checkout through PayPal and then once we receive the payment then we create a membership record in our membership site. The PayPal requires a "return" field when you submit the form button that will take the user back to our page once the order has been successfully processed. On that page is where we actually track the sale and fire a chunk of javascript to track the sale. So my question is this, how can i make sure that the return page comes from PayPal and is not spoofed by a user in the system. I know there is a way to use the notify_url to have PayPal post back to our system, but in this case i have to run a chunk of javascript. Is there an easy way to do this, or would i have to write some looping/timeout function that checks to see if the notify post has come through? Im using .net to do the posting to paypal

  After looking at how to count the occurrences of distinct values in a field, I am wondering how to count the occurrences of each distinct value if the distinct values are known (or enumerated). For example, if I have a simple table - TrafficLight Colour ------------ ------ 1 Red 2 Amber 3 Red 4 Red 5 Green 6 Green where one column (in this case Colour) has known (or enumerated) distinct values, how could I return the count for each colour as a separate value, rather than as an array, as in the linked example. To return an array with a count of each colour (using the same method as in the linked example), the query would be something like SELECT Colour COUNT(*) AS ColourCount FROM TrafficLights GROUP BY Colour, and return an array - Colour ColourCount ------ ----------- Red 3 Amber 1 Green 2 What I would like to do is to return the count for each Colour AS a separate total (e.g. RedCount). How can I do this?

• DataMapper: using auto_migrate! with many-to-many dependencies?

  Hi, I'm trying to migrate my app from MySql to Postgresql, using Rails3-pre and the latest DataMapper. I have several models which are related through many-to-many relationships using :through = Resource, which means that DataMapper creates a join table with foreign keys for both models. I can't auto_migrate! these changes, because I keep getting this: ERROR: cannot drop table users because other objects depend on it DETAIL: constraint artist_users_owner_fk on table artist_users depends on table users constraint site_users_owner_fk on table site_users depends on table users HINT: Use DROP ... CASCADE to drop the dependent objects too. I have tried everything I can think of, and thought I had things working when I added :constraint = :skip to the field definition, but I keep getting that error back when I try and run auto_migrate. I thought that :skip meant that it would ignore the dependents, but maybe that only applies for deleting rows and not dropping tables? I should mention that I can run auto_migrate after i nuke the db once, but after that, errors. Any suggestions or advice much appreciated.

  I'm wrapping up my startup and will need to implement Paypal API into my sign up page. Does anyone use recurring payments via Paypal API integrated into their billing? Better yet, guide me to a trustable developer with experience or will I have to use Elance? I need it to go to a welcome/get started screen in their logged in account once they hit the 'create account' button after filling out billing info. I was also wondering, can you leave the CSC (3 digit security code) field out with integration, because it makes things very hard for recurring payments. I'd like to stick with Paypal, as I have been very satisfied with them for a few years now; I already checked out Chargify, authorize.net, etc. I'd love to see someone with something like this set up already to take a look at and ask a few questions.

• SQL Server 2008 GUID column is all 0's

  I'm hoping this is a simple goof I did on my end ... I have a table in my database set up like so: column name: widget_guid data type: uniqueidentifier allow nulls: false default value: newid() identity: false row guid: true When records are created (via LINQ to SQL) that the values in this field are formatted as a GUID but contain all 0's My assumption was that when a new record was created, that a guid would be autogenerated for that column, much like an auto-incrementing row id. Is this not true? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Althought it would be desired, it is NOT an option to split the CSV list into another related table. In the example data below I would be trying to capture the code 99 for widget A.   I'm using custom WordPress categories for some probably unintended functions, I will admit (things like marking a post no/index just by adding it to my custom "no-index" category, etc). But it sucks that WordPress does not enable pages with all the little extras you get with posts. For example, while the post editor gives you convenient access to Tags, Categories, and a Post excerpt field, pages get left out in the cold. I'd like to know if its possible to add the These items to the Post editor via add_action() directive from a custom theme.
