  looking for recommendations on ESX4 OS - VMFS version3: RAID-5 : matching the stripe size with VMFS block size? (64K, 128K etc) RAID controller options: "adaptive read ahead, write-back" on PERC 6i 90% VMs on server are Windows (2008, 2003, Vista etc, SQL 2005 etc) i have read that smaller stipes are good for writes and larger for reads. Since this is virtual env, not sure whats good.

  I have a Toshiba laptop with wi-fi connected internet. Now I wanna connect my phone to my laptop and use its Internet connection ( I can't buy new wi-fi or 3g supported mobile phone ). I have no problem connecting k610 to my laptop, and even shared my GPRS internet connection with my PC. but can't do contrary. How can I connect my k610 mobile (which not support wi-fi connections) to Internet via my Toshiba laptop ( with bluetooth ) ? P.S: My PC OS is Ubuntu Linux 9.10

• Sending a Fax without a fax number

  I have an HP Officejet 8600 Pro that has faxing capabilities. However I do not send faxes often and I do not need to pay for a dedicated fax number/line. Is there a way to send and receive faxes using the built in wifi without a fax number from the HP? I have seen online services that allow this from the PC, is that the only way to do this? I am using Windows 7 for my OS. EDIT I do not use a regular phone line.

  We're using Ubuntu 12.04.1 with Xfce 4.8. We have a script which sets environment variables needed by our software. In the past, I figured out how to run this script in the Xfce start up so that these environment variables are set up and available to gui based programs launched via icons. Recently an OS upgrade wiped out this setting and I can't remember or find how to do this. I've tried sourcing the script from ~/.profile, ~/.xinitrc, and ~/.config/xfce4/xinitrc, but no luck.

What confuses me, is that when I use something special (like two finger scroll) in guest OS, I can see the cursor change to the scrolling one. • VPN running in vmware vm, is there any way to get the host to share that tunnel?

  I'm running WinXP in VMWare Fusion hosted by MAC OS X 10.5. There's no mac client for the vpn I need to use so I'm going through windows. The vpn runs fine in the vm. I'm curious, is it possible to have the guest only receive the keyboard events produced by the host?
